Durandal HTML Samples Zip is SLOW - durandal

I'm trying to play with the Durandle HTML Samples Zip from their website. For some reason, each time I try to navigate to a new tab it takes a noticeable amount of time to make the transition (1-2 seconds). Why would this be? I don't think its a network download thing because I'm running locally.

It is the time it needs for the transition you can deactivate it by removing transition in shell.html i think.

interactjs drag stops after few events

I just had a heavy problems with a vue cli project with interactjs
the latest version is installed

Now I have the following problem, in a dummy project I have a component from which several multitouch elements can be created, these can be scaled, rotated, sorted ... all of them work wonderfully with dummy content.
in a real project I have a div that acts as a container for a scrollable content, suddenly the drag in this area no longer worked. At first I thought it was because of the container/scollable div combination, but when I remove the container the problem remained.
The problem currently occurs when the element loaded into the slot is a text element with a few lines of text. with 2-3 lines it can be moved on the text, if there are more lines the drag start and move event will be triggered, the move only a few times. so the window can be moved a bit.
what can it be, how can i handle it?
here the simple structure of the component:

edit: after further testing I come to the following conclusion:
it is due to the overflow-y: auto of the scroll container.
.window-content-scroll {
...
overflow-y: auto;
overflow-x: hidden;
...
}
if I set this property to hidden I can touch it anywhere as usual.
what options do i have?
Pack the class '.window-content-scroll' in ignoreFrom within interact.js. Unfortunately, the entire content area is then no longer draggable, I thought I could move the window horizontally ...
scrolling the window content via javascript, does that make sense, is there a good example?
maybe someone has a nice idea?
Closing the loop for others who might find this: touch-action: none; worked for me, as suggested in #Shmack's comment. Was working with mouse, not touch.

Why are Vue dynamic components destroyed inside loop every re-render?

I run into an issue with Vuejs 2.x version (latest). While rendering a list of item inside a loop, if I make changes to the items then the normal components are not destroyed but the dynamic components will always be destroyed:

To see what I mean, open the console tab on codepen, click the add item and you will see that the dynamic component items are destroyed and re-created everytime.

easy durandal please wait while loading spinner

Is there an easy durandal way to clear the view and put a loading or please wait... on the screen so the user gets some feedback to know that it is working until the ajax content loads?
Right now when I click on a something that navigates to a child route and that child route loads a module that has to do a lot of stuff in activate(), it does not switch the nav or clear the screen or give any feedback to the user that it is working and I see them clicking many times over and over and getting frustrated, then just about when they want to give up, the page loads in fine.
I would like to make this default functionality for my app and not have to do something special in every module or on every page, is that possible?

Have you tried to use router.isNavigating? Original Durandal template contains a spinner like this:

A large percentage of the time, what you're looking for can be obtained very simply via:

The inner div can be any arbitrary markup which will display while the viewmodel is going through activation.
Note that this currently only displays the placeholder content the first time this dom section is composed. If you have a section of your application which is being updated via an observable viewmodel + compose approach, you could use the approach here:

Change Global Variable onclick/img source update with javascript variable

First off I am completely new to Javascript but I have some HTML/CSS experience. I've been trying to create an html/javascript image gallery for a website; (It would probably be a lot easier to do in PHP but the web coordinator disabled PHP on our server for security reasons).
Anyway What I have is a page showing an Album-list, Album-browser and Photo-viewer in different a div and 2 iframes respectively. I have it set up so that when someone clicks on an album from the album list, a page is opened up in the album browser section (iframe:"browser-frame" showing thumbnails of all the images in the particular album). I've been trying to set it up so that when someone clicks on an image in the album browser the image will appear in the Photo-viewer section (iframe:"viewer-frame" showing the photo itself).
I didn't want the photo's in the viewer-frame to be larger than the set dimensions for the viewer-frame so I created a page for the viewer-frame that puts the image in a div with a class of set dimensions (defined in a stylesheet) as follows:

I then created a script that updates the image src to a variable:image_to_be_viewed and called it image-changer.js

everything up to the loading of the selected picture in the viewer frame works (I'm running the onlick event on the default loaded pictures 1,2,3 in the browser-frame page)(default pic's 4 and 5 simply load the image in the iframe but with no way to adjust the size it is too big and gets cut off and i don't want that)
I've been working on for an entire day and I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here but I can't figure out what exactly it is. I have a feeling it has to do with changing the global variable: image_to_be_viewed from the browser-frame page but I wanted to confirm with experts instead of flopping about like a headless fish. I'm going to continue trying to figure this out but i thought maybe having some expert assistance would speed up the process.
What the onclick triggers should be a javascript function call.
e.g. onclick="changeImg('images/album1/1.jpg')"
And the function itself should looks like this

btw, you probably should learn javascript a little bit more before work on something real. I recommend this book
thank you I got it to work! I figured that the changeImg function was targeting the wrong document/wrong frame and I fixed it by changing the js script to:

Good way to integrate query-layout with reactive templates + async data sources?

I'm working on a Meteor app that gets data from Facebook & I would like to use jquery-layout for presentation. I suspected that there might be some "subtleties" when trying to use jquery to modify HTML in reactive templates, so I set up a relatively simple test case that goes something like this (paraphrased for brevity)...

Template.mainTemplate.userInfo returns contents of a Session variable that starts with a default value and asynchronously get updated with info from Facebook.
Template.mainTemplate.layItOut sets up a call to Meteor.defer with a callback fcn that actually executes the 5 lines of jquery-layout code.
And that seems to work pretty well...
the initial display is as expected/intended (although there's a brief period where the page is not laid out)
any updates to the reactive context cause re-execution of the layout (again, w/brief-but-visible re-layout)
So, why am I whining? Mostly I would like to find a cleaner approach that does away with the noticeable re-layout activity.
I could make the reactive contexts more granular, but I'm not sure that this would really help.
Alternatively, I suppose I could experiment with directly controlling rendering (e.g., via Meteor.ui.render() , but that sounds like a lot of work ;-)
I think what I'd really like is either
a) a way to hook into Meteor render events
or better still
b) a cleaner way to connect query-layout to templates
Thoughts?
So I managed to educate myself enough to answer my own question in case anyone else finds it useful. Bottom line is that I was wrong on several levels; making the reactive contexts more granular is the answer (or at least an answer).
In the example I gave, I made the whole page reactive by placing all of the rendering within the #each construct. What I now do is try to make the reactive contexts as small as possible so that only a (relatively) small part of the page is re-rendered on any reactive change and all of the reactive elements are contained below (or way below) the level of the jquery ui elements.
I.e., something like this:

Once you have the reactive elements below the jquery ui elements (I have tried it with panels, tabs, accordions, buttons and pop-ups so far) the whole thing works just like it said it would in the shiny brochure! ;-)
