Windows Phone 8.1 Create a Swipeable Scrollable Control - xaml

I am trying to create an animation to a control.
So think of the animation and control of a now playing page on most touch screen devices. You see the control (album photo) and swipe either way and get it to slide off the screen and then the next control (album photo) slides on in its place.
I am not asking for you to code me this, but I am having trouble wrapping my head around a way that this could be done.
The control content is always changing, when you swipe one way, an image is removed from the view and then the next is added.

What you need is FlipView control which can get you the interface you described.

Pass TappedEvent to a sibling controll in uwp

I have a user control with a bunch of buttons behind a scroll viewer that has a grid with a bunch of rows in it. The first row is empty. The buttons in user control need to respond to tap/click when not obscured by scroll viewer's content. My problem is that the scroll viewer caches the tap event and it is not passed to the user control because it is a sibling to the scroll viewer. I would like to somehow pass/propagate the tap event to the user control to get the buttons working. I can't find a good solution to this issue because there seems to be no RaiseEvent(e) method on UI elements in uwp. Due to specific requirements, the whole page needs to react to scroll and the buttons are required to be behind the scroll viewer content. Does anyone know if it is possible to pass the whole event to another element or somehow allow for both controls to handle it? Thanks in advance.

Using vertical scroll with tabcontrol

I am using Visual basic 2010 for coding. I have develop the code on desktop. Where I have adjusted form as per my desktop screen. I am going to run the application on Laptop. When I run the app the screen is not fitting to Laptop screen. SO I deciede to include vertical scroll. If moved up and down we can see all the parameter.
How can I do it?
I have added image for reference.
The scroll bar(s) should be inside the individual TabPages. You should set the Anchor and/or Dock properties of the TabControl so that it resizes with the form and set the AutoScroll property of each TabPage to True if you want it to display scroll bars if and when any of its child controls are outside its viewable area.

.Net Form Layout - create Chat UI like facebook or google hangouts

I want to create an application and chatting is involved. I am currently struggling to format existing controls or to create a control with the following conditions:
a container is docked to the main form's bottom
inside of that container, a button can be used to toggle a chat
component (e.g. text edit) to become either visible or invisible
if visible, the chat component is aligned with the button that was
pressed but does not force a resize on the container of the button
So basically I want to achieve a facebook or google hangouts like chat layout in vb.net that can also scale dynamically according to the current window size. Nevertheless it should always stick to the bottom.
Please keep in mind that this question is not about making the chat work but only the layout/design problem I am facing.
My current approach is the following:
FlowLayoutPanel docked to bottom with buttons
RichEdit as placeholders to simulate the chat component
My current layout
Is there an easier way to do what I want to do?
Set the anchors to the bottom of the page/panel.
On the designer, click the control you want to edit, find the Anchor property and change it to bottom (and left/right/top, whatever you'd like).

How to implement facebook like menu (left menu) in windows store app

Basically, I want to be able to create a menu which on clicking on some button will appear from left (or right) and on clicking anywhere on main screen the user would be able to dissmis the menu. For example the facebook app has something similar on all platforms (so on Windows 8 also).
I have found a solution for Windows phone (http://sviluppomobile.blogspot.cz/2013/08/add-lateral-menus-to-windows-phone.html), which is not the way to go for Windows 8. Maybe I could use some hand made animation for aflyover, which would be in default outside of viewport. However, I guess there must be better or ideally already proofed solution.
Also I found two questions here on SO, which asked for same thing I guess, but no answers there ...
How to do: lateral menu like in "Music" app on Windows 8 / 8.1 and
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/22613421/windows-8-1-apps-left-menu
I know, that it is not the best way on windows platform to implement menu (we have top app bar, right), but our customer just wants this.
I would like to ask for some hints or ideally a code for a native implementation for Windows 8.1 using XAML (C# or VB.NET). Thanks to everybody who will give it a thought.
You'd put a StackPanel with Orientation="Horizontal" in a ScrollViewer. Put three panels in the StackPanel - let's make them Grids and call them: left, middle and right. On SizeChanged events of the ScrollViewer - set the Width and Height of the middle grid to the same values as ActualWidth and ActualHeight of the ScrollViewer and perhaps set the left and right grids to be a little bit narrower to leave space to see a little bit of the middle panel when you scroll to the ends. Make the ScrollViewer scroll horizontally by setting Horizontal/VerticalScrollMode and scroll bar visibilities and make the ScrollViewer snap to your grid panels by setting the HorizontalSnapPointsType and HorizontalSnapPointsAlignment properties. Also set IsHorizontalRailEnabled on the horizontal ScrollViewer to true if you have any vertical ScrollViewers in your panels and make their IsVerticalRailEnabled="true" so only one of them scrolls depending on the manipulation direction. Finally - put a transparent overlay panel as a top child of the middle panel handle the tap events on the overlay to scroll the middle panel back into view when it isn't centered and in the handlers of the menu buttons scroll the horizontal ScrollViewer to the start/end.

Flipview without rubber band effect at edge in Windows Phone 8.1

I am developing an app, which has 3 screens in first page as flipview items. Two screens has gridview & last screen contains camera. I want to develop nearly same UI as 6snap from Rudy Huyn.
In that it has camera in middle & two gridview (data view) at the ends. It doesn't have elastic band effect while swiping from one screen to another & it seems he has used flipview. I have chose flipview because it has selection change event & I can dispose camera resources efficiently. If my UI control choice is wrong let me know. I have tried to play manipulation events of flipviewitem but it doesn't work as expected. Any one out there who can guide me to develop the same flipview as 6snap.
Please check out my answer here:
ScrollViewer: Disable Snap (elastic band effect)
Maybe you will need to implement a different logic when to disable, and when to enable ManipulationMode, but it is possible
