How to fetch product ID using custom fields in Bigcommerce API.
ex: I have a custom field Name "option1" and value "checked" for a product I need to get the product Id based on the option name "option1".
Please help me .
You didn't specify which language you're working with, but I'm most familiar with C#. My solution may be prohibitive if you have hundreds of items in your store, as the first step is to GET an XML collection of products (if you prefer to use JSON, you can use JSON.NET to deserialize to XML).
This takes some looping, so define a variable to set the product id.

Then query the API for all products in your store.

This will return an XML string of all products in the store. Create an XmlDocument to populate with these products:

doc.LoadXml(response);
Now you have a nicely structured list you can search using XPath expressions.
prodID = doc.SelectSingleNode("products/product[custom_fields/name == 'option1']/id").InnerText;
If "option1" is uniquely named among your products' custom fields, this should set prodID to the String value of the Product ID.

I have a simple Zap that is triggered on a Shopify New Order (with line details) and then creates a new account in a system called Trainerize. Yes, it is possible. The exact implementation depends on how you want to identify the specific product. I am listing 2 possible ways
In case, the criteria to identify product is quite simple, you can use Filter by Zap. For example, if you want to identify product by product Id, you can just add a Filter by Zap and add the following conditions.
Line Items Product ID | Text Contains | Your Product ID - 12345
If you have some complex matching condition for your Product, you can also use Code by Zapier to run JavaScript code. To do so, pass the required data as input to code and return output that can be used later to see if the match was found. A simple example that gets LineItems productIds as input.

I have an issue where some of our orders are being imported directly into Netsuite, and there is information from the first line item, that I need to copy into the transaction record (i.e. custom field on sales order)
I want to set this up so that it is automatic, I don't have access to the system that is used to bring the orders into Netsuite, and I only JUST got suitescript access and everything I read about that is way above my head..
I know basic HTML and some of the scripting formulas from Netsuite and that's all.
I was hoping there would be a CUSTOM FIELD FORMULA or some other similar way that I can just easily source the information directly from the first item in the item sublist?
This would be quite trivial to implement using SuiteScript. The example below assumes you want to copy the Memo field (description) from the first line item to the body Memo field. The basic idea would be something like the below (untested code):

If want to accomplish this via custom fields etc. it is possible using "Custom Fields with Values Derived from Summary Search Results".
To do this create a Saved Search as follows:
Type: Transaction
Criteria: [none]
Results: Formula (Text), Summary
Type = Maximum, Formula: DECODE({line}, 1, {memo}, NULL)
Available Filters: Internal ID
Then create a Custom Transaction Body Field as follows:
Type: Free Form Text
Store Value: F
Validation & Filtering > Search: [Saved Search from previous step]
As this is a dynamically calculated field (Store Value = F), it would be available when viewing the record, but not in Saved Searches and lists. To remove this limitation, you can create a Workflow that would copy this field to another one that is stored.
I recently started experimenting with the REST API for SharePoint 2013 Foundation and I am trying to return all entries in a list. My GET request returns the data I am looking for, but the IDs used to identify the columns in the list are not helpful for identifying what the information is (see images below). The column IDs between 'Title' and 'ID', in the second image, are a jumble of characters.

Is there any way to configure the list to use the column names as IDs? Also, is there some significance to the characters currently used as IDs?
You will need to make a second request to get a listing of columns that includes the InternalName and the Title which is what you are trying to reference:

SharePoint automatically generates the InternalName and it is a read-only field, at least using REST. It'll be easier to get the Field Data to correlate the InternalName to the Title than changing the values.
The column you are referring to, between Title and Id, is the ID of the content type associated to the item. It is not a column ID.
The SharePoint REST API is OData compliant, so you can use the $select parameter to query for the neccesary fields.

Please be aware though, lookup fields need to be expanded as well, otherwise you get only the Id of the lookup item.

I’m working with an existing database with a design I’m not in control of, I’m using EF4, and querying using LINQ. I work in VB.Net but would be quite happy to translate a c# solution.
I would like to pull records from a table where two of the fields match a pair of items from a list.
So i have a list of

And I would like to query a table and pull any records where both INSP_ROUTINE_NM and FEATURE_ID match one of the Request Info items.
I can use contains easy enough on either of the fields

So I serialized with a type MyNamespace.Item, but gave it my own Raven-Entity-Name, so it get its own collection.
In my code I define an index:

What I'm doing is the following: I want to use SharePoint as a CMS, and use RavenDB as a ready-only replication of the SharePoint list data. I created a tool to sync from SharePoint lists to RavenDB. I have a generic type Item that I create from a SharePoint list item and that I serialize into RavenDB. So all my docs are of type Item. But they come from different lists with different properties, so I want to be able to differentiate. You propose to differentiate on an additional property, this would perfectly work. But then I will see all list items from all lists in one big Items collection... What would you think to be the best approach to this problem? Or just live with it? I want to use the indexes to create projections from all data in an Item to the actual data that I need.
You can't easily change the name of a collection this way. The server-side will use the Raven-Entity-Name metadata, but the client side will determine the collection name via the conventions registered with the document store. The default convention being to use the type name of the entity.
You can provide your own custom convention by assigning a new function to DocumentStore.Conventions.FindTypeTagName - but it would probably be cumbersome to do that for every entity. You could create a custom attribute to apply to your entities and then write the function to look for and understand that attribute.
Really the simplest way is just to call your entity Doelkaarten instead of Item.
Regarding why the change in indexing works - it's not because of the switch in linq syntax. It's because you said from doc in docs instead of from doc in docs.Items. You probably could have done from doc in docs.Doelkaartens instead of using the where clause. They are equivalent. See this page in the docs for further examples.
