iOS6+ Custom component creation guide - ios7

I'm starting the iOS development and need to find out what is required to create custom component. I have a few of them to build like star rating bar (which promising tutorial I've found here btw.) or download button with progress like it is in the App Store app.
Instead of searching for ready built solutions I would like to learn on how to build it thus my question, is there any up-to-date guides on how to accomplish it? Using OOP rules:) ofcourse as I'm used to it from ActionScript and JAVA.

What is meant by Flutter's widgets aren't really adaptive

I have been trying my hands for POC on an idea and trying to find languages which can support Mobile app development (Android/IOS) via single source code.
I zeroed on React-Native and Flutter.
What I found that for React-Native you still have to write code which is platform specific. Components need to be written differently for IOS and Android.
Then I looked in FLutter and I found that - "Flutter's widgets, however, while there are more of them, aren't really adaptive".
I am not able to understand it and what it means.
It would be really helpful if someone can help me with example or guide me to good reference.
In Flutter you have different sets of Widget Collection:
Material Widgets: Android-style
Cupertino Widgets: iOS-style
And lots of Widgets which aren't bound to one of those styles.
With this you are able to create a application looking like any style on any of the available platform. Therefore you can also have iOS-style Widgets on Android and vice versa.
If you want to have iOS Widgets on iOS and Android Widgets on Android, you'll have to create some conditional rendering, which decides wether to render iOS or Android components.
Sidenote: The Material-style Widgets look also really good on iOS. Also you can use a ton of other Widgets to create an UI in your own style.

React Native Dynamically load modules/plugins?

As far as I've searched it appears to be impossible to load modules (=plugins/libraries?) dynamically (I'm very new to React Native..).
What I'd like to accomplish is to let the user of the app load additional functions as she/he desires.
Example:
A user wants to add a music plugin to the app.
Intuitively, I'd long for something like dynamic library loading. The user would fetch the library, it'll be loaded into the code and can then be executed. However, in React Native it seems like there are only modules that can be loaded?
Alternatively, I'd hope that auto-updating the app would allow to add modules "on-the-fly" ( https://github.com/aerofs/react-native-auto-updater or www.npmjs.com/package/react-native-hot-load ). But I fear that this is only for JS and data content?
The ability to dynamically add functionality to the app is an essential part of the app. I have no previous experience worth mentioning in mobile app development.
Question: Is it possible to dynamically add functionality (also native in nature) to React Native apps?
If not, would there be a workaround?

Unfortunately, without any description. I have no idea about Objective-C, but the repo name sounds promising. Anybody knows what its purpose is?

How do you enable Core Spotlight to index app content in React Native

What's the easiest way to go about indexing a React Native app so that content within the app appears in Spotlight searches?
If you're still interested in indexing your app content using React Native, I've written a plugin to do just that.
As you've figured out, there's no built-in react-native support for this. The only option for you to utilize the Core Spotlight framework capabilities is to create your own native module which will expose this functionality to your react-native code. You can also try to find someone who already wrote this module and made it open source, but I guess you've already tried that.
Since this is the only way, it is also the easiest... That said, it should be pretty easy to implement it yourself, assuming you have some experience with iOS development. If you run into problems you can post your code and I can point you in the right direction if necessary.

Cocoa/objectiveC UI design issue

I'm trying to build an app on MacOSX - ObjectiveC. I don't not find a good ressource to understand how I can create the view I need and the steps to made it.
I'm looking mostly to create 3 sections.
Section 1: Few buttons and one image
Section 2: TreeView to have a File browser/finder
Section 3: Progress bar to show the disk usage.
I'm creating an app to read android device and manage file transfer. Such as Android File Transfer.
First and foremost you need to look over the tutorial that Apple provides on creating your first Mac app.
Second you can use NSOutlineView to create your treeview, here's a tutorial on this.
Then you need NSProgressIndicator for your progress bar, here's a tutorial.
I also suggest you look over at ray's tutorials to get started with XCode and all the interface builder tools.

How build a custom control in Xcode for the iPhone SDK?

I want to build a custom control to reuse in my project which consists of two UITextFields that are linked together + a label.
It is starting to become repetitive across my App and smells of code duplication ;)
However, I wonder what is the best aproach here.
Is it best do everything by code in a controller or is posible do a visual thing like the ones built-in in Xcode?
You can build an Interface Builder plug-in for this. It's fairly straight-forward. To get started, read the Interface Builder Plug-In Programming Guide. It even has a quick, step-by-step tutorial to get you started. Apple recommends creating a plug-in to IB for just your case...
I don't think this is possible. I briefly looked at the IB Plug-In Programming Guide and apparently Interface builder plugins are implemented through Custom Cocoa Frameworks. That is, your plugin is defined in a framework which is loaded in Interface Builder. IB looks in the current projects frameworks to find any custom components defined and will load plugins accordingly. It is not possible to use custom or third party frameworks on the iPhone so I don't see how IB would make a connection here. If somebody has more info I'd love to see this discussion continued.
This is fine except it is for the iPhone. The iPhone presents a more difficult environment to create the plug-in for interface builder. It should be possible but I have yet to see a Xcode project that does this. They are all limited to creation of desktop "AppKit" versions, not iPhone "UIKit" versions of the plugins for IB.
