T4MVCVB doesn't work on clean install? - vb.net

I just installed T4MVCVB and it won't compile:
Error 1 Compiling transformation: Invalid token 'this' in class, struct, or interface member declaration c:\...\T4MVCVB.tt 1 1
Error 2 Compiling transformation: Method must have a return type c:\...\T4MVCVB.tt 1 6
Error 3 Compiling transformation: Type expected c:\...\T4MVCVB.tt 1 12
Note that the line number is 1 for each of these errors, so there's no way at all to see what line it doesn't like.
How can I figure out what the problem is so I can generate typed helpers for VB?
Edit: After some cleanup, now I get the following compiler error, and the line number of the problem:
Error 112 Running transformation: System.NotImplementedException: Not implemented (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004001 (E_NOTIMPL))
at EnvDTE80.CodeFunction2.get_Attributes()
at {long call stack}
The line it doesn't like is:
// Ignore methods that are marked as not being actions
if (GetAttribute(method.Attributes, "System.Web.Mvc.NonActionAttribute") != null)
continue;

Make sure you are using the latest version made for VB. Here is the T4MVCVB Nuget Package
If it's still breaking before generating the .vb files, I would uncomment these two lines near the top of T4MVCVB.tt and see if you can find the problem location.
//System.Diagnostics.Debugger.Launch();
//System.Diagnostics.Debugger.Break();

plsql : New function inside an existing package compilation and syntax check

How do I compile a new function created inside a package in plsql, to see syntactical error and so on
You can't compile a single function - compile the whole package.
If your concern is about invalidating the whole package in case that function has errors, then
create a standalone function (i.e. outside of the package)
debug it
once it is OK (doesn't have syntax errors, returns result as expected), include it into the package
In addition to #Littefoot's advise I'd say: use a proper GUI. Oracle has a free tool called sql developer. It has a great interface for editing database objects (packages/functions/procedures/triggers). It highlights errors and is very well documented (https://www.thatjeffsmith.com/sql-developer/). Note that is does not point out syntax errors - but once you're a bit used to working with pl/sql they become obvious very quickly.
In Oracle, after compiling a procedure/function/package. If there is an error then the command will return with the message:
ORA-24344: success with compilation error
You can then use:
SHOW ERRORS
or
SELECT * FROM USER_ERRORS;
or, for example, for errors with packages in a specific schema:
SELECT *
FROM ALL_ERRORS
WHERE owner = 'SCHEMA_NAME'
AND type IN ( 'PACKAGE', 'PACKAGE BODY');
Which will list the errors (complete with line numbers and error messages) and you can then debug the procedure/function/package and recompile it.

I need help upgrading OroCommerce to 4.1.1

I just upgraded from 3.1.17 to 4.1.1 and I'm finding a problem with my shopping lists.
When I get to /customer/shoppinglist/5064 I see this:
Looking at my log files from production I see:
[2020-06-23 17:42:56] request.CRITICAL: Uncaught PHP Exception Symfony\Component\ErrorHandler\Error\UndefinedMethodError: "Attempted to call an undefined method named "getDigitalAsset" of class "Proxies\__CG__\Oro\Bundle\AttachmentBundle\Entity\File"." at /usr/share/nginx/html/oroapp/vendor/oro/platform/src/Oro/Bundle/DigitalAssetBundle/Provider/FileTitleProvider.php line 47 {"exception":"[object] (Symfony\\Component\\Debug\\Exception\\FatalThrowableError(code: 0): Attempted to call an undefined method named \"getDigitalAsset\" of class \"Proxies\\__CG__\\Oro\\Bundle\\AttachmentBundle\\Entity\\File\". at /usr/share/nginx/html/oroapp/vendor/oro/platform/src/Oro/Bundle/DigitalAssetBundle/Provider/FileTitleProvider.php:47)"} []
I went to look at the code and I see that in fact there is no method getDigitalAsset in oro/platform/src/Oro/Bundle/DigitalAssetBundle/Provider/FileTitleProvider.php, nor in the proxy... how can this be?
I checked this on my VM (where the problem is not happening) and I see that there's this definition in the proxy class:
/**
* {#inheritDoc}
*/
public function getDigitalAsset()
{
$this->__initializer__ && $this->__initializer__->__invoke($this, 'getDigitalAsset', []);
return parent::getDigitalAsset();
}
But again, I don't see a method called getDigitalAsset in the parent class.
I had some issues when doing the upgrade (I realized my nodejs wasn't upgraded as I thought it was), could that have anything to do with the issue?
Thanks
Edit:
I went through my platform upgrade again and found that there were some problems that prevented it from finishing completely.
This is what I found:
> loading Oro\Bundle\CMSBundle\Migrations\Data\ORM\LoadImageSlider
In LoadImageSlider.php line 117:
Attempted to call an undefined method named "setMainImage" of class "Oro\Bundle\CMSBundle\Entity\ImageSlide".
I commented out the loop inside the load method and re-run the upgrade. Then I got:
> loading Oro\Bundle\CMSBundle\Migrations\Data\ORM\LoadImageSlider
In QueryException.php line 65:
[Semantical Error] line 0, col 117 near 'digitalAsset': Error: Class Oro\Bundle\AttachmentBundle\Entity\File has no association named digitalAsset
In QueryException.php line 43:
SELECT file, digitalAsset, sourceFile FROM Oro\Bundle\AttachmentBundle\Entity\File file INNER JOIN file.digitalAsset digitalAsset INNER JOIN digitalAsset.sourceFile sourceFile WHERE file.parentEntityClass = :parentEntityClass
AND file.parentEntityId = :parentEntityId AND file.parentEntityFieldName =
:parentEntityFieldName
Finally I was able to complete the upgrade by commenting out the whole body of the load method
I had some issues when doing the upgrade (I realized my nodejs wasn't upgraded as I thought it was), could that have anything to do with the issue?
It looks like you have multiple versions of nodejs installed. To make an application use the right one, you can provide the absolute path to the executable with the AssetBundle configuration, like:
# config/config.yml
oro_asset:
nodejs_path: /usr/local/node
npm_path: /usr/local/npm

XCODE 8 xcuitest code generation compilation error

I have downloaded the xcode 8, and tried to record a test in xcuitest
but the generated code by xcode gives compilation error
Generated code
window.tables.children(matching: .tableRow).element(boundBy: 0).children(matching: .cell).element(boundBy: 5).click()
Error
but it is giving compilation error like Value of type
'XCUIElementQuery' has no member ‘containing’
'XCUIElementQuery' has no member ‘ children’
'XCUIElementQuery' has no member ‘ matching’
'XCUIElementQuery' has no member ‘ element'
also .other should be changed to .Other
.cell should be changed to .Cell to fix the error
i selected swift 2.3 while installing xcode 8
Any help appreciated
It looks like the code generator migrated to a new sytnax for the call to the children, but not the code interpreter. Replace .children(matching: .cell) with childrenMatchingType(.Cell)

Value of type 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.VersionControlServer' cannot be converted to 'System.Type

I'm working on a custom TFS Build workflow based on the code found in two blogs:
http://www.theringworx.com/blog/?p=494
https://lajak.wordpress.com/2011/08/30/tfs2010-retrieve-associated-workitems-to-changesets-tfs-api/
When I implement the VB.Net code within my XAML workflow, I'm currently getting the following errors on build runtime:
The build process failed validation. Details:
Validation Error: The private implementation of activity '1:
DynamicActivity' has the following validation error: Compiler
error(s) encountered processing expression "TFSService".
Value of type
'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.VersionControlServer'
cannot be converted to 'System.Type'.
Validation Error: The private implementation of activity '1:
DynamicActivity' has the following validation error: Compiler
error(s) encountered processing expression "TFS.GetService(Of
VersionControlServer)();".
End of expression expected.
I've traced the error down to this section of code (Simplified from XAML):
TFS=Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Client.TfsTeamProjectCollectionFactory.GetTeamProjectCollectionFactory(New Uri("MyTeamsTFSServer"))
TFSService = TFS.GetService(Of VersionControlServer)()
I've tried changing the type of TFSService from both Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.VersionControlServer and System.Type without success.
From what I can tell the error is occurring in the "Of VersionControlServer".
Has anyone ever encountered this? And if so how did you resolve it?
Turns out the issue was the URL I was using, I made a typo when I was entering it in. Yay for descriptive error messages...
I found this while I was checking my authentication using the two methods:
TFS.HasAuthenticated
TFS.Authenticate();
My code blew out when I was running the Authenticate() method.

solve error : "Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/llvm-gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 1"

In my application I have integrate Three20 Library and Restkit framework, after this I am Build the code the error was generated
the error is :
`"Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/llvm-gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 1"`
and the error description is
ld: duplicate symbol _OBJC_METACLASS_$_RKJSONParser in /Users/pratikkanada/Desktop/Zipogo/Zipongo - working
version/RestKit/Build/Release-iphonesimulator/libRestKitJSONParserYAJL.a(RKJSONParser+YAJL.o) and
/Users/pratikkanada/Desktop/Zipogo/Zipongo - working version/RestKit/Build/Release-
iphonesimulator/libRestKitJSONParserSBJSON.a(RKJSONParser+SBJSON.o)
so, pls tell me how to solve this error
It seems that you have added that lib two times.
Please search libRestKitJSONParserSBJSON.a and (RKJSONParser+SBJSON.o) in entire code and you may found one of these added two times.
Simply solution is remove any one of two same files.
