Am Weblogic beginner.
I have created an application to test the JNDI load balancing. My application is deployed on Admin server that uses JNDI which is deployed on Cluster containing two servers(MS1, MS2). Know, my question is how can we know which server in the cluster is serving the request to client.
Thank you,
Vardhan

We have an Oracle application (Agile PLM) which is deployed in a clustered environment. We have one admin node and two managed nodes supporting our application, where admin and 1 managed nodes are on the same server. We also have Load balancer which manages the traffic between the cluster.
We want to configure SSL in our application so that the application URL will be accessible over https only. We have already configured SSL at Load Balancer level(by installing security certificates in weblogic server which is the admin server) but want to know if we have to configure SSL on the managed server as well or bringing Load Balancer on https is sufficient?
All the users access the application using the Load Balancer URL only but since I am from the development team, so is only aware of the fact that we can also connect to the application with Managed server URLs, which are still running on http. Is it must to bring Managed servers also on https or it is just a good practice but not necessary?
It's not necessary, though probably a good practice.
I believe I have read in Oracle's installation guide that the recommended way is HTTP on the managed servers and terminating SSL on the load balancer. This may have changed.
For what it's worth, I leave HTTP on the managed servers.
I've created multiple managed servers in Weblogic. Each managed server has same IP(IP of weblogic server) and unique port.
I've installed ear and war files in these managed servers and all of them has their own context-root.
For example I have ear file A with context-root A on server A and a war file B with context-root B on server B.
Whenever I browse IP:PORT(A) which has set on server A, this application needs some files on war file B which has deployed in server B. So A can not find its resources and I get error.
I should mention that I put them in a cluster too but nothing changed.
How can handle this matter?
The cluster won't help you in this way because each web app is isolated from others in its own web container. If you need to share data or resources between web apps you can use a shared file system or a database for instance.
For this purpose I've used Oracle Http Server (OHS) plugin. after hours of searching in internet I've found that Weblogic application server does not implement anything to handle this issue.

I have to create a system with JBoss in cluster modality with a load balancer using Apache HTTPD with mod_cluster.
I have configured the system correctly, and the load balancer see all nodes of the system. But, I have to create the web application for the load balancer now.
It has to be a servlet or a REST service that has a reference to a remote bean and make a lookup with JNDI? Or is something different?
Can someone provide to me a reference to a documentation/tutorial that explain that?
mod_cluster is a Apache module that does the HTTP(S) load balancing.
Read more here: http://mod-cluster.jboss.org/
The whole application is installed in JBoss mod_cluster just does the load balancing.
mod_cluster is just for load balancing. Just deploy the web app against the server group created. It gets deployed on master and slaves and can access the remote bean as required.
You can dig into our mod_cluster testing servlets on clusterbench/clusterbench or vastly simplified, lobotomized version.
All new documentation effort is accumulated on: http://modcluster.io
TL;DR
create any servlet application
deploy to your workers and it's good to go
if you want web sessions replicated in the cluster, add <distributable/> to your WEB-INF/web.xml
Can the worklight analytics server be loadbalanced using an IHS Server?
https://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSZH4A_6.2.0/com.ibm.worklight.installconfig.doc/monitor/t_installing_op_analytics_liberty.html?lang=en
For example, if the Liberty server is at host.ibm.com on port 8080 and the context root is analytics, then the wl.analytics.url property is as follows:
wl.analytics.url=http://host.ibm.com:8080/analytics/data
Could the host here be a IHS Server with WAS plugin configured to balance requests across multiple Analytics nodes?
Yes, but this shouldn't be necessary.
Worklight analytics uses Elasticsearch under the covers. When an anayltics request comes in from Worklight, the data is sent to Elasticsearch which will automatically route the analytics data to the correct node as long as the nodes have been setup correctly.
I suggest reading more about how Elasticsearch clustering works to see if it would be necessary to add an additional load balancer.
I'm on Weblogic AS 10.3.5, I have two managed servers pointed to a cluster, so I have two url, one for the first managed server, the other one for the second.
I will deploy my application on the cluster, so will I reach it on both the url? will the application deployed and running on both the servers?
How does it work? Can you give me some references, please?
Is it clear?
Thanks a lot!
First, you shouldn't be using WebLogic 10.3.5 anymore since it has reached the last stage of support called Sustained Support. Consider to upgrade at least to WebLogic 10.3.6.
Related to your question, I believe you are talking about a Web Application and how to access it. First you need to read about Load Balancing in a Cluster. For the web part (JSP and Servlets) basically you have to options: setup a Web Server (like Apache HTTP) to make use of the WebLogic Plug-in, that will then be connected to the WebLogic cluster. The other easier option is to simply use an LBR (load balance router hardware).
These are the "software" solutions you have for Load Balancing your web application in a clustered WebLogic:
WebLogic Server supports the following Web servers and associated
proxy plug-ins:
WebLogic Server with the HttpClusterServlet
Netscape Enterprise Server with the Netscape (proxy) plug-in
Apache with the Apache Server (proxy) plug-in
Microsoft Internet Information Server with the Microsoft-IIS (proxy) plug-in
You can read more about this options at the Configure Proxy Plug-ins documentation page for WebLogic 10.3.6.
