How to use package in QML with two views? - qml

I have a similar problem like the one in this this question
But mine is a little different. My problem is that when I switch from the Gridview to the listview only the clicked image appears and if I scroll the listview the other images don't appear at all while there place is reserved which means if I scroll twice to the left then scroll back two times to the right the original photo(Which appeared when clicked) appears again. And if the listview is the default view when the application runs it works fine, but also when I click any image in order to switch to the gridview only the clicked image appears in the gridview and it appears in its exact place! Any Ideas? Thanks

Well I got it, I adapted the Photo viewer Example that is provided by Qt and it works just fine now.

Scrolling with scroll wheel doesn't render, scrolling by clicking-dragging scrollbar works fine

Sometimes in my UWP app I experience a problem while scrolling with my scrollwheel. Basically the scrollbar moves when I use my scrollwheel, but the content isn't rendered properly; resulting in an empty block which gets scrolled up and down.
Yet everything works fine when I click and hold the scrollbar instead of using the scrollwheel on my mouse.
I have to restart my UWP app in order to get things back to normal.
The issue appears while scrolling a default XAML ListView, but also in a RadDataGrid (Telerik).
I have made a screen recordingo of this issue, which hopefully will illustrate what's happening more clearly.

I haven't found exact steps to reproduce this issue, it just seems to be there at random from time to time.
Does anybody have an idea what might be going on here and how this could be fixed?

Strange datagridview fill option in upper left corner

I have a tab control, and one of the tab pages have a docked datagridview. In my designer everything looks fine, but when I run the program I see this..
and when I click on the corner, it fills the datagridview to the page just fine. I have tried docking left, right, bottom and top to no avail. I should mention I am using MetroUI tab control. Thanks for any help.
So after a bit of messing around with the properties I figured out a solution. I restarted visual studio and it updated my designer, so that weird fill control was visible. I then was able to mess around with the datagridview and figured out that the issue was that it was overlapping my tab control. I moved the datagridview down just a tad and it works fine.

Button in UserControl in main page not reacting to pointer in Windows Store apps

To share a common display layout in a Split template Windows Store app, I put a Back button, title TextBlock, and another button in a UserControl, and then use that control in most of my pages. My problem is that in the main page, neither of the buttons will react to pointer activity, be it pointer over or clicking. However, it works fine in any other page. To isolate it, I created a blank app and duplicated the UserControl, but it works in that case.
How can I debug this?
Thanks.

In an "ItemView" page of a "Split" template app, the Grid containing the back button and title must be below the GridView and ListView in the XAML code. Apparently the GridView, with no Grid.Row, and a Grid.RowSpan="2" needs to overlay the first and second rows, and if the button is beneath the GridView, it must assume it is not visible and doesn't need to respond to events. I moved my new user control instance to below the GridView, and the buttons work now.
This whole scheme of overlaying both rows makes no sense to me, but without the Grid.RowSpan="2", the items don't split nicely into two rows for me. I think such odd layout should have a comment explaining it in the template. Perhaps it could save someone else from this same kind of issue.

Navigating to a specific section of a page in windows 8 Javascript App

I am developing a windows 8 app using JavaScript & HTML.
I have a page which has different sections laid horizontally. I have links for these sections in another page. I want the page to load from that specific section (meaning page should start from this section).
I am using a grid template and have a listview in the main page. When i click on any item in a group ,navigate to that page and come back to the main page. I want the main screen to load from the section that i have selected before. The screen should automatically scroll to that section like how it is happening from semantic zoom.
Any help in this regard will be of great use.
Thanks
For the first part, it should be enough to set the scrollLeft property of the container to the offsetLeft property of the element you want to scroll to.
The second part can be achieved by storing the scrollPosition attribute of the ListView before navigating away and setting it to its old value after navigating back.
As Ma_li said, scroll-left is one solution -- especially for non ListView content. The key here is how much of the experience you want to maintain when navigating back. One option (again, for non-listview content) is to find the element you want to be onscreen, and calling scrollIntoView on the element. However, this only brings the item on screen -- it won't bring it all the way to the left (or right, for BIDI languages), it scrolls just enough to et the whole element on screen.
For ListViews, you should use the indexOfFirstVisibleItem (or, indexOfLastVisibleItem) to scroll the listview to the correct location. This is key, because the listview is a virtualized control, this provides the most accurate & reliable method for scrolling the listview position.

I tried document.getElementBy("Id").focus() for the 1st Question and it worked. But i am getting a problem in this.
I have four divs Horizontally say "divA divB divC divD"
Data for the divA is coming from cloud. When i click on the link for divD in the main screen. it is not taking me to the corresponding section for the first time as it takes some time to load the divA. when click on the link for divD second time, it takes to the respective section. It is working if i use setInterval() but the DivA is shown for few seconds when the page loads and then scrolls to divD which is not good.

Why does the iOS toolbar view get added on top of my loading view when I hide and show it again?

I have a normal navigation based iOS app
I've got "loading view" which I initiate from my app delegate and use across the app, simply by showing and hiding it.
This works fine, but as soon as I hide the bottom toolbar in one of the views in the app and display it again, the toolbar seems now be shown on top of the my generic "loading view"
Any help is much appreciated
How do you add your bottomBar? Obviously not on the view itself, right? Than it would probably be beneath the overlay.
Also you should use an extra window for the loading overlay. That would solve your issues.
I basically ended up deleting the loading view and recreating it each time.
It now appears at the top of the view hierarchy each time. This fixed the problem.
