I am trying to dynamically set the content of a cell using the KendoGrid Content Template and inline Razor but I am getting all sorts of errors.
"<table><tr>" +
"<td style='color:yellow; width:200px;height:13px;padding-top:0px; margin-top:0px;text-align:center;' class='audiogrid'>" +
#{
#if ((int)TempData["MediaTypeId"] == 1) {
#"<audio id='a1' src='#: MediaLocation #' controls='controls' preload='auto' autobuffer><embed height='26' autostart = 'false' type = 'audio/mpeg' width='290' src='#: MediaLocation #'></audio>" +
}
else{
#" #: Description # " +
}
}
"</td>" +
"</tr></table>"
The above code throws an error: CS1646: Keyword, identifier, or string expected after verbatim specifier: # at the first instance of the # sign.
I don't understand why or what this error means. According to the rules of using Razor in MVC4, my syntax should work. Did a little research to be sure and found the syntax to be accurate here
But I tried a variation that included a string after the # as the error suggested and that I figured should work as well:
"<table><tr>" +
"<td style='color:yellow; width:200px;height:13px;padding-top:0px; margin-top:0px;text-align:center;' class='audiogrid'>" +
#if ((int)TempData["MediaTypeId"] == 1) {
#"<audio id='a1' src='#: MediaLocation #' controls='controls' preload='auto' autobuffer><embed height='26' autostart = 'false' type = 'audio/mpeg' width='290' src='#: MediaLocation #'></audio>" +
}
else{
#" #: Description # " +
}
"</td>" +
"</tr></table>"
This time I get Compiler Error Message: CS1026: ) expected at the same line that the # first appears in my code.
I've also tried some other variations but none of them seem to work.
What am I doing wrong or missing here? :-(
Basically the control in the cell should change based on the media type.
Razor is not some sort of string concatenating syntax. You specify the html tags and C# code, and the Razor engine writes them to the client.
Inside an #{ block (or any other code block), you can use C# statements. There's no need for an extra #.
Inside the #if (or any other code block), you can use html tags. No need to prepend them with an #.
Inside the else block, use #: to output html without an html tag.
<table><tr>
<td style='color:yellow; width:200px;height:13px;padding-top:0px; margin-top:0px;text-align:center;' class='audiogrid'>
#{
if ((int)TempData["MediaTypeId"] == 1) {
<audio id='a1' src='#: MediaLocation #' controls='controls' preload='auto' autobuffer><embed height='26' autostart = 'false' type = 'audio/mpeg' width='290' src='#: MediaLocation #'></audio>
}
else{
<text> #: Description # </text>
}
}

Following the answer on this post I was using #:<div class="col-md-6">
Problems
The Formatting gets all messed up:
The intellicode gets all messed up (I only deleted the paragraph on the second #:)
Also, my if (i == (Model.CellsNotStarted.Count - 1) && i % 2 != 0) won't work when using the #:; it will always go on the else. If I don't use the #: markup, and if I, for instance put all my html in a if/else instead of only the <div> tag it will work with no problems.
My question is:
Is the #: markup viable? If so, what am I doing wrong. If not what is the alternative (that does not imply putting my entire code in an if/else)
PS: I know I should not post images of code, but I wanted to show the format and syntax errors.
There are neater ways to manage conditions within your Razor code. It's difficult to provide a full example because you don't provide the full code, but you can do this, for example:
<div class="col-md-#(i+1 == Model.CellsNotStarted.Count && i % 2 ! = 0 ? "12" : "6")">
Whenever you are tempted to use a remainder operator (%) in Razor, you should also consider whether a GroupBy would be better. It most often is, as I was shown in this question: Building tables with WebMatrix
You can try to use js to set html.Here is a demo:
<div id="myDiv"></div>
<script>
$(function () {
var html = "";
if ("#(Model.CellsNotStarted != null)"=="True")
{
for (var i = 0; i <#Model.CellsNotStarted.Count; i++)
{
if (i == (#Model.CellsNotStarted.Count - 1) && i % 2 != 0)
{
html += '<div class="col-md-12">';
}
else
{
html += '<div class="col-md-6">';
}
html += i+'</div>';
}
}
$("#myDiv").html(html);
})
</script>
result:
I'm having this PHP-script:
<?php
$old_path = getcwd();
chdir('/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/');
$term1 = $_POST['query1'];
$term2 = $_POST['query2'];
$var = "{$term1} {$term2}";
$outcome = shell_exec("searcher $var");
chdir($old_path);
echo "<pre>$outcome</pre>";
?>
On a searchpage two searchwords are written and the searchbutton is pushed. The search result turns up as a webpage like this:
/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf:1
/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf:3
/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf:7
/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf:7
/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf:9
/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf:13
/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf:13
The result shows links to individual PDF-files and pagenumber in that file, but are not clickable.
Is there a way to make these links clickable so that it opens up for instance in Evince or Acrobat at the correct page number?
Many thanks in advance.
/Paul
I found a correct answer to my problem. It took some time, but here it is:
<?php
// Get current working directory and put it as variable
$old_path = getcwd();
// Change directory
chdir('/var/www/html/SEARCHTOOLS/');
// Create first variable as result of first searchword on searchpage
$term1 = $_POST['query1'];
// Create second variable as result of second searchword on searchpage
$term2 = $_POST['query2'];
// Create a variable combining first AND second variable
$var = "{$term1} {$term2}";
// Create a variable as the result of the executed search using command "sokare" and variable "$var"
$outcome = shell_exec("sokare $var");
// Return to starting directory
chdir($old_path);
// Split the varible "$outcome" per line representing every page in PDF-file where variable "$var" is found
foreach(preg_split("/((\r?\n)|(\r\n?))/", $outcome) as $line){
// Create a variable out of the given pagenumber in PDF-file
$end = substr($line, strpos($line, ":") + 1);
// Trim the line by removing leading directories from line
$line2 = str_replace('/var/www/html', '', $line);
// Change a string from lower to upper case
$line2 = str_replace('searchtools', 'SEARCHTOOLS', $line2);
// Remove the colon and anything behind it from line
$line2 = array_shift(explode(':', $line2));
// Add suffix to line to facilitate linking to pagenumber in PDF-file
$line3 = str_replace(" ", "_", $line2).'#page=';
// Add pagenumber from the variable "$end"
$line3 = str_replace(" ", "_", $line3).$end;
// Print each line as a correct URL-link
echo "<pre><a href=$line3>$line3</a></pre>";
}
?>
The search results will now turn up as (and are clickable):
/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf#page=1
/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf#page=3
/SEARCHTOOLS/1974-1991.pdf#page=7
Just a small edit. The line ....
// Add suffix to line to facilitate linking to pagenumber in PDF-file
$line3 = str_replace(" ", "_", $line2).'#page=';
...works better with:
// Add suffix to line to facilitate linking to pagenumber in PDF-file
if (substr($line2, -3) == 'pdf') {
$line3 = $line2.'#page=';
}
In php i fire off my pixel in a if statement like this :
if ($result == C){
echo "<img src='http://www.123123.com/tracking/RecordPixel.aspx?cmp=933&optional'/>";
}else{
echo "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0;URL='http://123123.co.uk/index.php/'\"> ";
}
I am trying to do this in vb.net and i am looking for resources and cannot find any.
In VB.NET you can add a server control to your page, as a literal control. And in codebehind (for ex. in pageload), you can translate it in something similar to:
if (result = C) then
yourLiteralID.text = "<img src..."
else
yourLiteralID.text = "<meta..."
end if
Recently i got into MEL programming to help out a few friends in maya. They wanted to have their files refferenced on a server, so i needed to change the reff strings. Now i have compiled a solution to do this, and used another example as a guide, but when i run the script it says
// Error: int $nt=tokenize $TexturePath "\" $buff;
//
// Error: Line 12.43: Unterminated string. //
What gives?
p.s. full code below for anyone who wants to use it
string $SceneTextures[] = `ls -tex`;
string $plus="";//Place a file type here to be saved in that subfolder
for ($i = 0; $i< (`size $SceneTextures`); $i++)
{
$Test = catchQuiet(`getAttr ($SceneTextures[$i] + ".fileTextureName")`);
if ($Test == 0)
{
string $TexturePath = `getAttr ($SceneTextures[$i] + ".fileTextureName")`;
string $buff[];
int $nt=`tokenize $TexturePath "\\" $buff`;
string $newPath=("${ARC_SURF}\\" + plus + "\\" + $buff[$nt-3] + "\\" + $buff[$nt-2] + "\\" + $buff[$nt-1]);
setAttr -type "string" ($SceneTextures[$i] + ".fileTextureName") $NewPath;
catchQuiet (AEfileTextureReloadCmd ($SceneTextures[$i] + ".fileTextureName"));
//print $TexturePath;
}//end if
}//end for i
EDIT: Fixed the code as it should be, now it only throws // Error: line 14: Invalid negative index used to reference array "$buff".
But i think that probably only 1 texture screws stuff up, will check and report back
I'm no expert in MEL, but in many languages \ is used to escape control-sequences, so I would guess you want "\\" instead of "\", in the many places it appears.
I'm looking for a way to give my SharePoint users a way to create new wiki pages from an existing template. In the process of researching I found a great walkthrough that seems to fit the need (http://www.mssharepointtips.com/tip.asp?id=1072&page=2), but I'm having trouble getting it to work. The problem seems to lie in the assignment of a path to PATHTOWIKI-- if I use "/Weekly Update Wiki", the script returns an error of "There is no Web named '/Weekly Update Wiki'." If I use "Weekly Update Wiki" without the forward slash, I instead get an error of "There is no Web named '/sites/[parentSite]/[childSite]/Weekly Update Wiki/Weekly Update Wiki'."
Any ideas about what I'm not understanding here?
function myCreateProject() {
// Configure these for your environment
// include no slashes in paths
var PATHTOWIKI = "Weekly Update Wiki";
var PATHTOPAGES = "Pages";
// file name only for template page, no extension
var TEMPLATEFILENAME = "Template";
var myPathToWiki = encodeURIComponent(PATHTOWIKI);
var myPathToPages = PATHTOPAGES + "%2f";
var myTemplateFileName = encodeURIComponent(TEMPLATEFILENAME) + "%2easpx";
var EnteredProject = document.getElementById("NewProjName");
var myNewName = EnteredProject.value;
if(myNewName == "") {
alert('Please enter a name for the new project page');
} else {
myNewName = encodeURIComponent(myNewName) + "%2easpx"
$.ajax({
url: PATHTOWIKI + "/_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.dll",
data: ( "method=move+document%3a14%2e0%2e0%2e4730&service%5fname="
+ myPathToWiki +
"&oldUrl=" + myPathToPages + myTemplateFileName +
"&newUrl=" + myPathToPages + myNewName +
"&url%5flist=%5b%5d&rename%5foption=nochangeall&put%5foption=edit&docopy=true"
),
success: function(data) {
var rpcmsg1 = getMessage(data, "message=", "<p>");
$("#myInfo").append("<br />" + rpcmsg1);
if(rpcmsg1.indexOf("successfully") < 0) {
// get error info
var rpcmsg2 = getMessage(data, "msg=", "<li>");
$("#myInfo").append("<br />" + rpcmsg2 + "<br />");
} else {
$("#myInfo").append("<br />Go to new page<br />");
}
},
type: "POST",
beforeSend: function(XMLHttpRequest) {
XMLHttpRequest.setRequestHeader("X-Vermeer-Content-Type",
"application/x-www-form-urlencoded");
}
});
}
}
Update: I figured out what needed to happen in my case. Since I couldn't get a grasp on the relative approach, I just went with the absolute path for PATHTOWIKI and slightly modified the append in the ajax call.
PATHTOWIKI:
var PATHTOWIKI = "https://[domain]/sites/[parentSite]/[childSite]";
append:
$("#myInfo").append("<br />Go to new page<br />");
The change in the latter line of code is subtle; since I used an absolute path in PATHTOWIKI, I just removed the leading forward slash in the anchor tag, so that <a href=\"/" became <a href=\"". This renders the script slightly less portable, but since it's a one-off effort I'll stick with this unless anything comes along to expand the scope.
