crosspost: https://orchard.codeplex.com/discussions/473454
I want to start by saying I'm currently migrating from Orchard CMS 1.6 to 1.7.2. So it used to work in 1.6 but I'm now having issues with 1.7.2.
2 of my Content Types are having issues when creating items, they never finish saving and when I check the logs I get this:
Orchard.Alias.Implementation.Updater.AliasHolderUpdater - Exception during Alias refresh
NHibernate.Exceptions.GenericADOException: could not execute query
[ select aliasrecor0_.Id as Id1829_, aliasrecor0_.Path as Path1829_, aliasrecor0_.RouteValues as RouteVal3_1829_, aliasrecor0_.Source as Source1829_, aliasrecor0_.Action_id as Action5_1829_ from Orchard_Alias_AliasRecord aliasrecor0_ where aliasrecor0_.Id>#p0 order by aliasrecor0_.Id asc ]

The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The wait operation timed out
When I stop it and view the site (anywhere really), it's entirely wrecked with this error:
Exception Details: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The wait operation timed out
[Win32Exception (0x80004005): The wait operation timed out]
[SqlException (0x80131904): Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.]

I don't know why this is isolated with those two CTs. They don't have parts with custom tables or anything.
Any piece of information would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
I have same error, but it seems that problem is not related directly for my code.
I found two solutions for now:
1.) Taxonomy corruption problem https://orchard.codeplex.com/workitem/20411
2.) Static is dirty and lock which is default in select statment is heavly used https://serverfault.com/questions/419997/the-wait-operation-timed-out-when-running-sql-server-in-hyper-v

My application creates thousands of "load jobs" daily to load data from Google Cloud Storage URIs to BigQuery and only a few cases causing the error:
"Finished with errors. Detail: An internal error occurred and the request could not be completed. This is usually caused by a transient issue. Retrying the job with back-off as described in the BigQuery SLA should solve the problem: https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/sla. If the error continues to occur please contact support at https://cloud.google.com/support. Error: 7916072"
The application is written on Python and uses libraries:
google-cloud-storage==1.42.0
google-cloud-bigquery==2.24.1
google-api-python-client==2.37.0
Load job is done by calling
load_job = self._client.load_table_from_uri(
source_uris=source_uri,
destination=destination,
job_config=job_config,
)
this method has a default param:
retry: retries.Retry = DEFAULT_RETRY,
so the job should automatically retry on such errors.
Id of specific job that finished with error:
"load_job_id": "6005ab89-9edf-4767-aaf1-6383af5e04b6"
"load_job_location": "US"
after getting the error the application recreates the job, but it doesn't help.
Subsequent failed job ids:

...
As mentioned in the error message, Wait according to the back-off requirements described in the BigQuery Service Level Agreement, then try the operation again.
If the error continues to occur, if you have a support plan please create a new GCP support case. Otherwise, you can open a new issue on the issue tracker describing your issue. You can also try to reduce the frequency of this error by using Reservations.

The exception seems to be clear, but I can't identify what is the element #415 in batch. Even the log doesn't helps, because it doesn't point to another more detailed log. Do you have any suggestion for find it?
Thanks to the comment of user #mao, I have followed this link
The failing table first must be identified. Enable more detailed tracing for di-preprocess:
Navigate to :
WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/xml/config/dataimport
and open the logging.properties file. Find all instances of INFO and
change it to FINEST. Optionally increase the size of the log file and
the number of historical log files while editing this file.
Thanks to this suggestion, I had re-run the buildindex process, and found that solr was wrongly grouping fields from original table, thus generating a too long field for the destination, and generating the error.
More info from stms :
Short Text
SQL error "SQL code: -10108" occurred while accessing table "CDHDR".
What happened?
Database error text: "SQL message: Session has been reconnected."
Return value of the database layer: "SQL dbsl rc: 99"
The problem is that client is running this code through the job in which I am not available to debug it. All I know is that it is working for other countries selected but for some specific it is not so the question is :
Was it a temporary connection error between two servers or is it data overload issue due to SELECT statement?
At the moment I am not really sure which thing I have to look on the system, the same program once produced the error for exceeding the limit in the db query ( > 10 minutes) so this might be related to system configuration or what?
Thanks in advance
I'm trying to figure out what is causing deadlocks in my Symfony 2 application. I'm running a cronjob that does batch-updates on a fairly large dataset and one part of it causes this error:
Doctrine\DBAL\DBALException: An exception occurred while executing
'UPDATE SpotEvent SET ts = ?, current = ? WHERE id = ?' with params
["2015-12-28 00:35:27", 1, 39316]: SQLSTATE[40P01]: Deadlock

at
/home/maf/symfony/vendor/doctrine/dbal/lib/Doctrine/DBAL/DBALException.php
line 91 while running console command
The code causing it is basically this:
check event
if (already in database) {
update timestamp
} else {
create new
}
From what I see in the error, the first branch causes the deadlock, but from what I read about deadlocks, the second should be more likely. In any case I don't understand why I have a deadlock at all.
I should say I am running this job in 6 parallel processes. However, there is no overlap between them (i.e. job one is checking from 1-200, job 2 from 201 to 400, etc.)
I'm using PostgreSQL as the database backend. My "check event" step is done using DQL, everything else is pure ORM.
I got the following error while executing a PDI job.
I do have mysql driver in place (libext/JDBC). Can some one say, what would be the reason of failure?
Despite the error while connecting to DB, my DB is up and I can access it by command prompt.

Is this a long running query by any chance? Or; in PDI world it can be because your step kicks off at the start of the transform, waits for something to do, and if nothing comes along by the net write timeout then you'll see this error.
If so your problem is caused by a timeout that MySQL uses and frequently needs increasing from the default which is 10 mins.
