For example, I have a ABC_module, which are available in two layout, each module has an extra setting field: 'Category ID'.
common/home with position = 'Content Top', Category ID = 5
product/category with position = 'Content Left', Category ID = 4
Now I want to get the value of 'Category ID' setting in my front-end module controller.
So I can choose which Category to display to the user.
Can someone tell me how to do this?
The same way as non-admin config:
$this->config->get('key_that_you_need');
All data saved in table settings, look there the key name of setting you need and fetch it.

I have a list in sharepoint online.
And in this list, i have a person field.
When i call the API endpoint to get all the items in the list, i get an LookupId value for the person field.
I tried to get the user by using the value of the lookupid, but it don't work because the id is not recognized.
The lookupid is a int (eg: 21) instead of a guid.
Is there something missing in the configuration of the person field or in my calls to Microsoft Graph API ?
When a user signs into a SharePoint site collection for the first time, a ListItem is created in a hidden User Information List. The LookupId in a PersonOrGroup field refers to the ListItem in this list. The URL for the User Information List for SharePoint Online should be:
https://{yourTenant}.sharepoint.com/{yourSiteCollection}/_catalogs/users/detail.aspx
Since the User Information List is a generic SharePoint list, you can query the list via Graph. First, get the list id for the User Information List. An easy way to get the list id is to view the source for the User Information Site via Chrome and search for 'listId'. You should find a result like this:
"listId":"{yourListIdIsHere}"
Copy the id. By using the copied id, the id of your root site and the LookupId, you can get the ListItem in the User Information List:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/{siteId}/lists/{pasteCopiedListId}/items/{lookUpId}?$expand=Fields
The ListItem contains information about the user, such as the email, which can be used to identify the Azure user:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/users/{eMail}
Question: How could i get the hidden User Information List from Microsoft Graph?
If you do not want to use the 'trick' with Google Chrome to get the id, there is another way to get the site. Typically, if you want to get the id for any site, you would call:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/{siteId}/lists
However, you will not find the id of the User Information List, even if you include hidden sites. I do not know why. An additional problem seems to be, that you cannot filter lists by their name:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/{siteId}/lists?$filter=name eq 'users'
The query returns an error, that the provided filter statement is not supported. The only way to get the list without knowing the id seems to by using the property displayName of the list. However, the displayName is based on your localization. So, since I am from Germany, I can get the site by using the query:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/{siteId}/lists?$filter=displayName eq 'Benutzerinformationsliste'
You will need to replace Benutzerinformationsliste with your localized name. For EN replace it with 'User Information List'.
This returns the expected result:
{
"#odata.context": "https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/$metadata#sites('xxx')/lists(id,name,displayName)",
"value": [
{
"#odata.etag": "\"xxx\"",
"id": "xxx",
"name": "users",
"displayName": "Benutzerinformationsliste"
}
]
}
As you can see, the name of the list is 'users', so why the first filter statement does not work is a little mystery to me. Maybe someone here knows and can help out.
Some of the queries above don't work at the moment.
What I finally found as a good solution - after trying many many queries - is that you can do this by following the few steps below:
1- Get the GUID of the user information list.
Using the title of the list "User Information List" or the name "users" in the parameter "$filter" does not work.
Don't forget 'system' among the properties you select if you want to retrieve the hidden system-lists.
GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites('{site_id}')/lists?select=id,name,system
2- Filter the previous result in order to pick up the ID of the targeted list named 'users'.
By the way, applying this restriction "$filter=name eq 'users'" does not work.
You will get an exception. So you must do the filtering part by writing a few lines of code.
3- Once you've got the list identifier, then select all the items you want. And voilĂ ! The word 'Fields' must be in pascal case (uppercase the first letter ).
GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites('{site_id}')/lists('users_list_id')/items?$select=Fields&$expand=Fields
As #QuestionsPS1991 mentioned, the people field in fact refers to the hidden user list. With the lookupid, we can get the user via below methods:
Get user by id
Get user property by expanding lookup field
//////////// updated
By default, MS Graph does not return this user list. You may hard code the list id or follow ##QuestionsPS1991 suggestion. Below is my test:
I have PrestaShop 1.7.1.2 installed and I'm trying to create a 2nd set of categories to be used in a car accessories shop.
for example.. some of my main categories include speakers, wheel covers and multimedia systems but I also want each product to contain a secondary category that includes the car company -> brand -> year -> doors count.
so each customer will have all the main categories shown on the front page, but will also have a component to enter his car type and to get the relevant products specific to his car.
so in general I want each product to have two defined categories.. one main (for example speakers) and one secondary (for example AUDI ,A1 ,2010-2016, 3 doors.
how can I implement such a thing ? I'm a good programmer, if needed I'll write a relevant plugin if none can suite my needs.
any information regarding the issue would be greatly appreciated.
This is nested categories, which is actually already implemented in Prestashop. You don't have to code anything specificly.
To show main categories you can use this method :
Category::getCategories($idLang = false, $active = true, $order = true, $sqlFilter = '', $orderBy = '', $limit = '');
Or the category three :
Category::getNestedCategories( $idRootCategory = null,
$idLang = false,
$active = true,
$groups = null,
$useShopRestriction = true,
$sqlFilter = '',
$orderBy = '',
$limit = ''
);
If you need to show only for one product you can also use :
Product::getProductCategories($id_product = '');
If you need anything, just look at classes directory, there is everything inside.
You can do this with default Prestashop feature. If you want to create second set of categories, create one keeping parent as Home like given below:
After this you can map your product (Test product in below example) with both these categories like below for Men and Women:
And after this is done then you are a good programmer so you can override files to make single search field work for searching all categories.
Please let me know if you have any other queries or if I misunderstood your requirement.
I have created an user group in SP 2010 and i have added one custom column to it, from the list settings.
How to get the custom column value in web part?
EDIT:
My custom column is District. I want to return that column value in visual web part application.
To return group users i use this code
List<SPUser> users = SPContext.Current.Web.SiteGroups["PDO Owners"].Users.ToList();
I assume you mean you created a custom property for the user profile as in my opinion you cannot add extra columns to user groups. You can get the values through the ProfileManager object doing something like this:
//GET THE USER PROFILE MANAGER
SPServiceContext sc = SPServiceContext.GetContext(site);
UserProfileManager userProfileManager = new UserProfileManager(sc);
//GET A PROFILE FOR A USER
UserProfile profile = userProfileManager.GetUserProfile("i:0#.f|fbamembershipprovider|myfbauser");
string propertyvalue = profile["propertyinternalname"].Value.ToString();
Depending on the type of field, you will have to use something else than ToString (eg for a managed metadata field i think you should use TaxonomyFieldValue, etc...)
If you install Openerp 7 with recruitment module. And create a simple entry with following values e.g.
Subject (internal field name = 'name') = 10 Year Experience
Applicant Name = Jhon Smith
Then if you create a custom module with following columns
_columns = {
'applicant_id': fields.many2one('hr.applicant', 'Applicant', required=True),
}
The view widget by default will show a drop-down with the Subject (internal field name ='name') field but i want to show applicant name (internal field name='partner_name') field in drop down, when creating a new record in my custom module.
In Summary how can I display Applicant's Name instead of Subject in drop-down widget in my custom module.
In openerp there is a function called name_get().This function returns a list of tuples containing ID of the record and name tobe displayed. So override this function and return list of tuples containing ID of the record and applicant name
You need to define applicant_id in _rec_name in your custom module.
Try this:
_rec_name = 'applicant_id'
Have a look at Predefined fields.
I am very new to RoR so this may be very fundamental. My structure keeps getting a level deeper and I can't figure out how to find the id anymore.
First you have a Company which can have many Users. Users sign in and are authenticated and the current_user is saved in a cookie with the Session.
Since the User has one Company I can always find the Company.id through the current_user.
Next a Company has many Farms. In farms create I can get the company id from the user cookie and the farm id is new so that works, and in farm show Rails knows which farm it is supposed to show. So that level works.
Now I want to add that a Farm has many Blocks. I am adding Blocks through the associated Farm show page, but the Blocks_controller doesn't know what farm page it is on (as far as I can tell, if it can any info is appreciated).
Here is the FarmsController create that works:
def create
company_id = current_user.company_id
#company = Company.find(company_id)
#farm = #company.farms.build(params[:farm])
if #farm.save
flash[:success] = "farm created"
redirect_to root_path
else
render 'pages/home'
end
end
And this code just complains that it doesn't know what id I am talking about:
BlocksController
def create
#farm = Farm.find(params[:id])
#block = #farm.blocks.build(params[:block])
end
This is displaying on the associated Farm show page, so if there is a way to capture the id I would love to know what it is.
Thank you for your time.
The three easiest ways to get that id is to:
Pass in that farm_id using a hidden form field. When creating the link to your blocks/new form just pass in the farm_id ie use a path like new_blocks_path(:id => #farm.id) inside your blocks controller you will want to make sure that the farm_id is set on the Block model.
def new
#block = new Block
#block.farm_id = params[:farm_id]
end
Then if you are using form for the farm_id field (which should probably be of type hidden), it should contain the right id. Now change the first line in the "create" block method to
#farm = Farm.find(params[:block][:farm_id])
You can combine the process of adding the blocks and the farms using nested forms. Take a look at http://railscasts.com/episodes/196-nested-model-form-part-1 for how to do this.
You can use nested RESTful resources to make sure that within the blocks controller you always have access to the farm id. For more information about how to do this try take a look at http://railscasts.com/episodes/139-nested-resources
