Crystal report page header not showing in every page - vb.net

Good Day to All!
I am not much familiar with crystal report, but I've been digging every corner and can't really seem to find the solution.
My problem is that I cant get the Titles to show on everypage, it comes out only on the first page and thats it.
I have also tried placing the titles into different other sections like Section2(Page Header a,PageHeaderSection2) and even tried copy/paste them into all of the
sections to see the difference. It was no help.
I've searched for solutions like, RightClick>Report>Group Expert>Options>Check "Keep Group Together" check box.
Doesnt work, and I have nothing in my "Group By:" list so the "Options" button is disabled.
Here is what I have:
ReportHeaderSection1 (Report Header a)
ReportHeaderSection2 (Report Header b)
Section1(Report Header c)
Section2(Page Header a)
PageHeaderSection2 (Page Header b)
Section3 (Details)
Section4 (Rport Footer)
Section5 (Page Footer)
Under my ReportHeaderSection1 (Report Header a), I have inlcuded the titles and project names which is required to show on each of every printed page.
Under ReportHeaderSection2 (Report Header b), I have a graph.
Under Section1(Report Header c), I have cross tab.
The rest, is empty.
Your kind reply would be greatly appreciated.
Jim

The way to set this is in the Section Expert, not the group expert. There is a paging tab and an options tab where you can set your preferences. Check into that and let us know which version of CR you are running and I can tell you exactly how to do it in the morning.
Hope that helps,
Chris
EDIT:
After re-reading your post again, I think your report is not structured very well and is causing issues. In the Report Header you should only put stuff that you want to see once, like a company logo, a brief explanation of the report, etc. In the Page Header you should put things like column labels, current date, stuff that you want to see on every page. The Group Headers are for grouping data together under a common denominator (date, name, etc.). The Detail Section then shows the actual data for the group.

Show content based on whether the user has certain tag in Mailchimp

I went through the Merge Tags here and here, but couldn't figure out the syntax that would allow me to show content based on whether the user has certain Tag or not.
Help?
My goal in case it helps:
User subscribes, and is queued for a welcome mail one day later. In meantime that user may get tagged (my way of segmenting them), and so, the next day when that user receives the welcome mail, the content needs to be catered based on the tag that user got.
Got a response from their support saying
merge tags do not work with Tags just yet
here's the whole thing:
While we do have conditional merge tags available, I'm afraid we do
not have any that would work with Tags. To be transparent, Tags were
recently added a few months ago, and there are some features in our
application that has not updated to work with Tags just yet.
Because conditional merge tags do not work with tags yet, the best
option would be to create multiple automations and send them out based
on each tags. If you do it that way, you'll be able to target those in
specific tags with specific content
Dug a little deeper from the first link. There is another link Use Conditional Merge Tag Blocks which contained the below code:
Name
IF-ELSE
Definition
Use ELSE to indicate alternative content to display if the *|MERGE|* tag value is false.
Example
*|IF:MERGE|* content to display *|ELSE:|* alternative content to display *|END:IF|*
Name
ELSEIF
Definition
Use ELSEIF to specify a new *|MERGE|* tag to be matched against if the first *|MERGE|* tag value is false.
Example
*|IF:TRANSACTIONS >= 20|* Enjoy this 40% off coupon! *|COUPON40|*
*|ELSEIF:TRANSACTIONS >= 10|* Enjoy this 20% off coupon! *|COUPON20|*
*|ELSE:|* Enjoy this 10% off coupon! *|COUPON10|* *|END:IF|*
More examples with definitions can be found here.
Hope this is the answer you were after.

SSRS Loop through data, adding a new title if the chapter/section changes

I'm building an SSRS report in Report Builder 3.0 (2014). I have five sections of data I'm working with: inspection number, chapter, section, code, and description. The report is only going to show data for one inspection, so all data is filtered on InspNo first. There are often multiple codes associated with an InspNo.
What I have: for every code associated with an inspection, the code is listed along with its description.
What I need: I need to add the chapter and section info, but only when it changes. For example, let's say the codes associated with an inspection are 302.7, 304.10, 304.12, and 505.1. I would like the result to be as follows:
Chapter 3
Section 302
302.7 - Description
Section 304
304.10 - Description
304.12 - Description
Chapter 5
Section 505
505.1 - Description
I have tried using Lists, but the chapter and section get repeated for every code. Any ideas how to make it work?
****UPDATE****
I'm getting closer to a solution. Right now I'm using a combination of textboxes and lists. The chapters and sections are text boxes, and the codes/descriptions are lists. All of the elements have a visibility expression using InStr. The lists are working perfectly. However the text boxes are giving me issues.
It seems my visibility expressions on elements outside of lists are only looking at the first piece of the pulled data. In the example above, Section 302's visibility expression is =IIF(InStr(Fields!FAILEDCODE.Value, "302") > 0, False, True). This is working great because the first code is 302.7. Section 304's visibility expression is =IIF(InStr(Fields!FAILEDCODE.Value, "304") > 0, False, True). This text box is always hidden. It seems like Report Builder is only checking this InStr value against the first line of data, not the entire set. Does anyone know if this is accurate or if there's a workaround?

GetResource, dynamic parent.

my problem is the following. I'm currently making a blog-page with get-page, get-resources, form-it, and wayfinder. This question requires a decent amount of knowledge about Modx and snippits. I've got the page numberin and all working and i've got a template page with all my calls in it (called weblogTemplate). This template has the following wayfinder call in it :
[[!getResources? &parents=`5` &limit=`5` &tpl=`blogPost`]]
[[!getPage?
&elementClass=`modSnippet`
&element=`getResources`
&parents=`4`
&depth=`2`
&limit=`5`
&pageNavOuterTpl=`[[+first]][[+prev]][[+pages]][[+next]][[+last]]`
&pageVarKey=`page`
&pageFirstTpl=`<li class="controlFirst"><a[[+classes]][[+title]] href="[[+href]]">Eerste pagina</a></li>`
&pageLastTpl=`<li class="controlLast"><a[[+classes]][[+title]] href="[[+href]]">Laatste pagina</a></li>`
&pagePrevTpl=`<li class="controlPrev"><a[[+classes]][[+title]] href="[[+href]]"><<</a></li>`
&pageNextTpl=`<li class="controlNext"><a[[+classes]][[+title]] href="[[+href]]">>></a></li>`
&includeTVs=`1`
&includeContent=`1`
&tpl=`blogListPost`
]]
as you can see the parent is set here to id number 5. This is fine for the homepage but any child page connected in the blog page also uses the same template and so would also have the same menu as the parent. You could use a fix to simply create 1 template for a page and keep using a different getResource call but keep in mind that it is a blog im making, new pages keep getting added. The user can't (, and wouldn't even understand to) make a template and edit any code. A solution i thought of would be to make the parent id dynamic, so it adjust to whatever page it is currently on. So for example if it was on the page with id number 12 it would make the parent call set to 12 and so show all the content under id number 12. If anyone has any ideas / thoughts / solutions i would be very grateful to hear them.
(a link about wayfinder that i used.)
The best solution would be to use two templates - one for main and one for the blog pages and use in blog templates:
&parents=`[[*id]]`
The problem with the user solveds by setting default_template in the system settings.
This worked for me:
[[!getPage?
&elementClass=`modSnippet`
&element=`getResources`
&parents=`[[*id]]`
&depth=`0`
&limit=`10`
&pageNavOuterTpl=`[[+first]][[+prev]][[+pages]][[+next]][[+last]]`
&pageVarKey=`page`
&pageFirstTpl=`<li class="controlFirst"><a[[+classes]][[+title]] href="[[+href]]">Eerste pagina</a></li>`
&pageLastTpl=`<li class="controlLast"><a[[+classes]][[+title]] href="[[+href]]">Laatste pagina</a></li>`
&pagePrevTpl=`<li class="controlPrev"><a[[+classes]][[+title]] href="[[+href]]"><<</a></li>`
&pageNextTpl=`<li class="controlNext"><a[[+classes]][[+title]] href="[[+href]]">>></a></li>`
&includeTVs=`1`
&includeContent=`1`
&tpl=`blogListPost`
]]

How to detect a section in a wikimedia page dump

I have looked around quite a bit to try and answer this question, but to no avail. I am parsing wikimedia page dumps to process certain pages (yes, I am aware of several tools to parse wikimedia page dumps, but they don't work for me as well as my parser).
Question is simple. I know how to detect start of a section (e.g. "==External References=="). That's easy. What's not well defined is how to detect when a section ends? For example, for most sections I can scan until start of next section header, but that isn't reliable. I looked at wikimedia's help page on sections, but it doesn't say how to detect end of a section.
There is no "section end" marker in MediaWiki syntax. A section extends until the next section header of the same or lower level. (There is also a "section 0" containing all the text before the first section header.)
Yes, this implies that sections at different levels can overlap, as in this example:
This text is in section 0.
== Section 1 begins here ==
This text is in section 1.
=== Section 2 begins here ===
This text is in sections 1 and 2.
=== Section 3 begins here ===
This text is in sections 1 and 3.
== Section 4 begins here ==
This text is in section 4.
Note that headings created using the HTML <h1>, <h2>, etc. tags don't begin or end sections, and won't have section edit links, even though they look otherwise identical to section headings.
Section headings inside templates do get section edit links, which let you edit the corresponding section of the template, but they're treated specially and are not considered part of the normal section structure of the containing page. There are also some weird special cases here involving section headers inside template parameters which I don't fully remember off the top of my head.
The automatically generated first level heading at the top of every page also doesn't count as a section heading, although any extra first level headings created with = Heading = do.

How to suppress a page header on page header and first page of a group?

I have a report where each group is about 5-7 pages long.
I need to suppress the page header on the first page of each group
Also I want to Supress the header on each group change (on first age on group)
Note : I don't want to reset page no after each group change.
I found solution for point 1 :
Crystal Reports - How to suppress a page header on the first page of a group?
Now I am looking for point 2 solution.
How can I do this? Please Help.
You can also supress Group header same as Page header but you have to add condition for that like
Boolean RetValue=false;
If(GroupNo==OldGroupNo)
RetValue=True;
Return RetValue;
In this OldGroupNo is Shared Variable which change in WhilePrintingRecord Function in Detail Section. You have to manage OldGroupNo In Detail section and then supress it.
May be this Help to you.....
