Axis2 and WAS 7.0 integration - axis2

I am trying to integrate axis2 -1.6.2 and Websphere7 .
I followed the links provided by Andreas such as: http://axis.apache.org/axis2/java/core/docs/app_server.html
and I also excluded axis1.4 which was getting downloaded transitively.
The module is 'parent-last' class loading and whole EAR , I tried both parent-first and last but I still get
java.lang.InstantiationError: org.apache.axis2.databinding.ADBDataSource.....and
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/fileupload/FileUploadException
though I have commons-fileupload jar and axis2-1.6.2 and axis2-adb jar.
Please post any suggestions.
FYI: I also followed this procedure :
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=axis2&q2=technote&uid=swg21315686&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us&lang=en
Thanks.

Not able to add implementation 'com.google.android.libraries.places:places:2.2.0'

I am trying to add Places SDK for android.
I am following the following documentation
https://developers.google.com/places/android-sdk/start and
https://developers.google.com/places/android-sdk/client-migration
Unfortunately i am not able to add dependency "implementation 'com.google.android.libraries.places:places:2.2.0'"
I have gone through following links. But no use. Please help me with this.
Failed to resolve: com.google.android.libraries.places:1.0.0:
Google's new Places Library ( implementation 'com.google.android.libraries.places:1.0.0') not resolving
Finally i found solution to my issue.
I solved it by installing the compatibility library.
Followed this. https://developers.google.com/places/android-sdk/client-migration
Following two steps resolved my issue.
Copy the contents of places_compat_compatify.sh, and save as a file to your local computer.
Use the following command to run the compatibility script
./places_compat_compatify.sh 2.1.0
After this, I could run my project successfully and could Place API.
Thanks

Spring boot application.version is null

I'm using spring boot and was trying to retrieve the current application version. (basically the version in the pom.xml)
On the spring boot ref site I can see there is a ${application.version} that is meant to have the version present in the MANIFEST file. (I have checked in the jar, and the I indeed can see this line
Implementation-Version: 0.1.1-SNAPSHOT
but in the code when I try to retrieve ${application.version}
(using #Value throws an error saying the prop cannot be found) and using env.getProperty("application.version") returns null.
Is there anything I need to setup in order to be able to use this prop ?
I found the application.version property only works in banner.txt. I read the Implementation-Version from manifest file directly, see How to read my META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file in a Spring Boot app?
The application.version is only available when you are run the application as built jar file. java -jar springboot.jar
When running within a editor you will not have the version available.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.apache.activemq.util.IdGenerator

I am trying to use ActiveMQ 5.10.0 with SoapUI 4.6 and Hermes 1.14. I get the error below when I try and add a queue. I presume Hermes can't find the type IdGenerator in any of the loaded jars. Which are:
activemq-client-5.10.0.jar
geronimo-j2ee-management_1.1_spec-1.0.1.jar
geronimo-jms_1.1_spec-1.1.1.jar
Does anyone know where this class is defined? I looked for activemq-util.jar in the binary distribution but I did not find such a file.

This is very old but in case anyone else is trying to get this spun up... don't use the built in HermesJMS that comes with SoapUI. Apparently there's a bug in it that doesn't play nice with ActiveMQ v5.8 and following [I tried 5.11 & 5.13 and had the issue. The cheating fix is to install the standalone [I had to get it from sourceforge].
The sourceforge jar is installed with [assuming version 1.14]: java -jar hermes-installer-1.14.jar
Once installed you can tie this version to soapui or launch it with the bat/sh file. I still had issues with ActiveMQ version 5.13 but version 5.11 worked for me.
The IdGenerator class is located in the activemq-client jar. Here is the result of a search in the source tree:
/activemq-client/src/main/java/org/apache/activemq/util/IdGenerator.java
There's been no recent changes so I'd guess that the error is misleading and that it's actually some other missing dependency that's being loaded when the class is created. Is there more information in the log or a 'caused by exception' ?
For whom it may interest. This is kind of common issue I come accross from time to time. I call it jar version incompatibility. I was getting exception in title and other funny exceptions when using latest (but not actively developed) hermes 1.14 and currently latest Apache Active MQ 5.14. I've found out after a long struggle that it is fixed by using an older version of Active MQ - like 5.3.

Weblogic10.3, packaging tagfile in jar got tag handler class was not found

My war is working on Tomcat6, but got error on Weblogic10.3:
The tag handler class was not found "jsp_servlet.tags.__tag"
Here is the situation:
I have developed 5 tag files, and define these 5 tag file in one tld,
and package them into nnn.jar with tld.
My first JSP is using 2 of 5 tag files, when I click this page,
in tomcat, it's working well, but in Weblogic10.3, got error above,
I found the key factor of this error is "using 2 of 5 tag",because that when I'm using all 5 tag files in one JSP, the Weblogic103 is working well!
So I think maybe this's a weblogic bug or I need do some configuration to avoid this.
Any idea about this situation? thans a lot!

Apache Mina tutorial

I am tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to run the simplest Apache Mina tutorial.
I am running the tutorial on Netbeans 6.9 on Ubuntu and it keeps saying the following error
even I have added the necessary jar files to the compile-time libraries folders in Netbeans.
Exception in thread "main"
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
at minatimeserver.MinaTimeServer.main(MinaTimeServer.java:29)
Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException:
Uncompilable source code - package
org.slf4j does not exist
at org.apache.mina.core.service.AbstractIoService.(AbstractIoService.java:51)
... 1 more
I have downloaded slf4j-log4j12-1.6.1.jar and slf4j-api-1.6.1.jar and placed them in the compile-time libraries folder too but the error still remains. I have also tried with slf4j-1.5.11
Any person who has solved this problem? Please help me or I'm going bald in no time!
Thanks in advance!
Yakult121
slf4j-log4j12-1.6.1.jar and slf4j-api-1.6.1.jar are runtime libraries.
Add them to your class path not to your compile-time libraries else it will try to compile your jar files.

What's the difference of compile time libraries and run time libraries in java?
Apache mina uses slf4j-api-1.6.1.jar, adding slf4j-api-1.6.1.jar to class path will resolve the issue.
Well, I also had faced same problem. What I did was, I unjarred the mina-core-2.x that is on the main page of the apache project. When things failed, I changed downloaded mina-core-1.1.7 and everything worked fine. Of course, you have to make sure that you set the claspath correctly.
