'id'=>'admin-grid',
'dataProvider'=>$model->SelectedCategoryProducts,

'columns'=>array(
'Name',

'condition'=>'category=:category',
'params'=>array(':category'=>$id),
)));
var_dump($dataProvider);
return $dataProvider;
}
CException
Property "CActiveDataProvider.sellerSelectedCategoryProducts" is not defined.
PLEASE HELP! I am losing my mind on this ... not able to display in gridview.
Pass $id to your view file.
$this->render('productcategory',array('model'=>$model,'id'=>$id));
Then pass id to model function in ccgridview function.
'dataProvider'=>$model->SelectedCategoryProducts($id),
Hope this might help
Controller file
public function actionProductcategory($id)
{
$model=new Product;
$this->render('productcategory',array('model'=>$model,
'id'=>$id));
}
In View file
'dataProvider'=>$model->SelectedCategoryProducts($id),
UPDATE 1
'columns'=>array(
'name',
'model',
'brand',
'price',
change them to lowercase which are your original column names
$dataProvider=new CActiveDataProvider('Product', array(
'criteria'=>array(
'select'=>'name,model,price,brand',
'condition'=>'category=:category',
'params'=>array(':category'=>$id),
)));
this can retrieve needed data.... first check that data is perfect ... is it right after that take second step....

Passing ID to CGridView

How to pass grid row id from CGridView to filter values in another CGridView opened in Dialog
My View Code for Form Grid(see screenshot),
<?php $this->widget('zii.widgets.grid.CGridView', array(
'id'=>'document-grid',
'dataProvider'=>$model->search(),
'columns'=>array(
array(
'class' => 'CButtonColumn',
'template' => '{edit}{DocumentDelete}',
'buttons' => array(
'DocumentDelete' => array(
'imageUrl'=>Yii::app()->request->baseUrl.'/images/delete.png',
'url'=>'Yii::app()->createUrl("baseContact/DocumentDelete", array("id"=>$data->crm_document_id))',
),
'edit' => array(
'imageUrl'=>Yii::app()->request->baseUrl.'/images/update.png',
'url'=>'Yii::app()->createUrl("baseContact/edit", array("id"=>$data->crm_document_id))',
),
),),

View Code for Popup Grid,
<?php $this->widget('zii.widgets.grid.CGridView', array(
'id'=>'ManagedocumentAttach-grid',
'dataProvider'=>DocumentAttachmentModel::model()->search(),
//'filter'=>$model,
'columns'=>array(
array(
'name'=>'',
'value'=>'CHtml::checkBox("cid[]",null,array("value"=>$data->crm_document_attachment_id,"id"=>"cid_".$data->crm_document_attachment_id))',
'type'=>'raw',
'htmlOptions'=>array('width'=>5),
//'visible'=>false,
),
'crm_document_id',
'name',
'type',
),
)); ?>
how to pass Form edited row id to Popup GridView ?
Clearly you use AJAX to get the popup so i would first would make sure the ID of the edit button is the same as the ID from the item you want to open. Then you can do the following JS (using JQUERY)
$(".edit").on("click", function() {
var id = $(this).attr("id");
$.ajax({
type:"POST",
url: "controller/action/"+id;
success: function(data) {
//open dialog box and fill it with data
}
});
You could also add the id as data so you can get it with $_POST instead of it being a variable defined by the function. If you write the JS in a php document you can use $this->createUrl, but that is just whatever you prefer.
If with this you can not solve your problem then let us see how you implemented it right now.
i am not sure ... but i have a technique to do it....
if i have to do something like this ....
i will give class by htmlOptions and after that i will get value which should be an id to open popup..
example
<?php $this->widget('bootstrap.widgets.TbGridView', array(
'dataProvider' => $dataProvider ,
'type' => TbHtml::GRID_TYPE_BORDERED,
'template' => "{items}",
'columns' => array(
array(
'name' => 'vendor_configuration_id',
'header' => $dataProvider->model->getAttributelabel('vendor_configuration_id'),
'htmlOptions' => array('class'=>'idClass'),
),
array(
'name' => 'menu_type',
'header' => $dataProvider->model->getAttributelabel('menu_type'),
'htmlOptions' => array(),
),
?>
now jquery for it
$('.idClass').on("click",function(){
var neededId = $(this).html();
alert(neededId );
//openn popup based on this id or caal ajax to retrive data based on this
});

Yii: include form inside form

There's a way to include form inside another form using the same action?
I tried with renderPartial but doesn't work.
eg:
$this->renderPartial('//utente/_form', array('model'=>new User,
'condition'=>$condition, 'form' => $form, 'rule' => '3'), false,
true);
Use renderPartial(with return=true) to render result of first for in temporal variable.
Use the variable in second view.
See CController renderPartial() for details
$form1 = $this->renderPartial('firstView', $data1, true);
$this->renderPartial(
'//utente/_form',
array(
'model'=>new User,
'condition'=>$condition,
'form' => $form,
'rule' => '3',
'form1' => $form1
),
false,
true
);
Form inside another form doesn't work in HTML! You can't do this:
<form ...>
...
<form ...>
...
</form>
</form>

Yii rules of listbox are not being validated

I have a listbox in a form whichs writes into my database. There has to be a value selected. In my view a have:
<?php
echo $form->radioButtonList($model, 'lidmaatschap',
array( '75' => 'Lidmaatschap Vriend € 75,-',
'1' => 'Lidmaaschap Vriend, ander bedrag' ),
array( 'separator' => '<br>' ) );
?>
In my model I have the rules set up which work for my text fields but I can't get the validation for my listbox to work. I tried:
array('lidmaatschap', 'required'),
and tried to compare it:
array('lidmaatschap', 'compare', 'compareValue' => '75'),
But it doesn't seem to recognize the listbox. When I use both ways on a textbox everything works just fine. What am I doing wrong here?

Yii View, Replacing some database values in CGridView

I am new with Yii, Sorry if my question might be stupid, I am using CGridView to show some fields of my database in a table:
<?php echo CHtml::link('Advanced Search','#',array('class'=>'search-button')); ?>
<div class="search-form" style="display:none">
<?php $this->renderPartial('_search',array(
'model'=>$model,
)); ?>
</div><!-- search-form -->
<?php
$this->widget('zii.widgets.grid.CGridView', array(
'id'=>'show-grid',
'dataProvider'=>$model->search(),
'filter'=>$model,
'columns'=>array(
'id',
'title',
'brief',
'tbl_season_id',
'on_season',
array(
'name'=>'status',
'value'=>'Lookup::item("NewsStatus",$data->status)',
'filter'=> Lookup::items('NewsStatus'),
),
array(
'class'=>'CButtonColumn',
),
),
)); ?>
</div>
I want to replace some of the values that are shown, for example, the on_season field is binary and in the table the values are 0 or 1, I want to change this values to Yes and NO,
And tbl_season_id is a foreign key form another table, I would like to get the name of the season and put it instead of the id which is not understandable by the users.
You can refer this wiki article for customizing your column values to your heart's content
Yii Documentataion: cgridview-render-customized-complex-datacolumns
Just remember that the value property can be an expression string, which is later evaluated for each data of rows. So you have a method call there which can dynamically calculate any value for you depending on the current values of that row.
Let you have two table
1): clients 2): projects
Relation is a client has many projects.
in model
and clients model the relation is (the Client table model name is Client)
class Client extends CActiveRecord{
}
and relations() method ;
return array(
'projects' => array(self::HAS_MANY, 'Projects', 'clients_id'),
);
project model the relation is (the project table model name is Projects)
class Projects extends CActiveRecord{
}
and relations() method ;
return array(
'clients' => array(self::BELONGS_TO, 'Client', 'clients_id')
);
Now
now you can use the following to get the client_name replace the client_id in proejct table
in CGridView
'dataProvider' => $model->search(),
'columns' => array(
'id',
'project_name',
array(
'name' => 'client Name',
'value' => '$data->clients->name', //where name is Client model attribute
),
)
and
Project view page in CDetailView you can use the following
'data' => $model,
'attributes' => array(
'id',
'project_name',
array(
'name'=>'Client Name',
'value'=>$model->clients->name ,
),
)
if you have client relation with company table (a company has many clients )
client model
'company' => array(self::BELONGS_TO, 'Company', 'company_id'),
you can also get the company name by following method in
index (CGridview)
array(
'name' => 'client Name',
'value' => '$data->clients->company->name', //where name is company model attribute
),
and in view CDetailView
array(
'name'=>'Client Name',
'value'=>$model->clients->company->name ,
),
