Getting Location path Wix installation - wix

How to get location path if i want to access mylocation.txt file, this file currently is in E:drive.
[CustomAction]
public static ActionResult FillList(Session xiSession)
{
//Can i get store mylocation.txt into application root instead of E location
string path = "Mylocation.txt";
// Open the file to read from.
string[] readText = File.ReadAllLines(path);
foreach (string s in readText)
{
//Console.WriteLine(s);
FillComboBox(xiSession, s, s);
}
xiSession["COUNTRIES"] = "--Select Location--";
return ActionResult.Success;
}
Can i get store mylocation.txt into application root instead of E location.And how mylocation.txt can be called?Basically what i want is to get the values of combox from this text file,once installation is in progress.

Attach the Mylocation.txt as resource file in Custom action project. Get more details from this discussion.

Easy way to retrieve image source in abp

I'm pretty new to ABP Framework and probably this question has a really simple answer, but I haven't managed to find it. Images are an important part of any app and handling them the best way (size, caching) is mandatory.
Scenario
setup a File System Blob Storing provider. This means that the upload file will be stored in the file system as an image file
make a service that uses a Blob container to save and retrieve the image. So, after saving it, I use the unique file name as a blob name. This name is used to retrieve it back.
the user is logged in, so authorization is required
I can easily obtain the byte[]s of the image by calling blobContainer.GetAllBytesOrNullAsync(blobName)
I want to easily display the image in <img> or in datatable row directly.
So, here is my question: is there an easy way to use a blob stored image as src of a <img> directly in a razor page? What I've managed to achieve is setting in the model, a source as a string made from image type + bytes converted to base 64 string (as here) however in this case I need to do it in the model and also I don't know if caching is used by the browser. I don't see how caching would work in this case.
I am aware that this may be a question more related to asp.net core, but I was thinking that maybe in abp there is some way via a link to access the image.
If you have the ID of the blob then it is easy to do. Just create a Endpoint to get the Image based on the blob id.
Here is the sample AppService
public class DocumentAppService : FileUploadAppService
{
private readonly IBlobContainer<DocumentContainer> _blobContainer;
private readonly IRepository<Document, Guid> _repository;
public DocumentAppService(IRepository<Document, Guid> repository, IBlobContainer<DocumentContainer> blobContainer)
{
_repository = repository;
_blobContainer = blobContainer;
}
public async Task<List<DocumentDto>> Upload([FromForm] List<IFormFile> files)
{
var output = new List<DocumentDto>();
foreach (var file in files)
{
using var memoryStream = new MemoryStream();
await file.CopyToAsync(memoryStream).ConfigureAwait(false);
var id = Guid.NewGuid();
var newFile = new Document(id, file.Length, file.ContentType, CurrentTenant.Id);
var created = await _repository.InsertAsync(newFile);
await _blobContainer.SaveAsync(id.ToString(), memoryStream.ToArray()).ConfigureAwait(false);
output.Add(ObjectMapper.Map<Document, DocumentDto>(newFile));
}
return output;
}
public async Task<FileResult> Get(Guid id)
{
var currentFile = _repository.FirstOrDefault(x => x.Id == id);
if (currentFile != null)
{
var myfile = await _blobContainer.GetAllBytesOrNullAsync(id.ToString());
return new FileContentResult(myfile, currentFile.MimeType);
}
throw new FileNotFoundException();
}
}
Upload function will upload the files and Get function will get the file.
Now set the Get route as a src for the image.

non-invocable member 'File' cannot be used like a method error message- what am I missing?

I have a Blazor Application which had files uploaded to a upload folder on the web server. I am in the process of trying to figure out the code to download an uploaded file in the browser for retrieval and viewing. Right now the code is as below (the download part from code examples on the internet)
public void FileDetailsToolbarClickHandler(Syncfusion.Blazor.Navigations.ClickEventArgs args)
{
string path = null;
string uploads = System.IO.Path.Combine(System.IO.Directory.GetCurrentDirectory(), "wwwroot\\uploads");
path = uploads + "\\" + SelectedFileName;
if (args.Item.Text == "Delete")
{
//Code for Deleting goes here
//UploadRef.Remove();
if (System.IO.File.Exists(path))
{
System.IO.File.Delete(path);
}
FileDetailsService.FileDetailsDelete(SelectedFileId); //NavigationManager.NavigateTo($"/ServiceRequestNotes/servicerequestnoteadd");
NavigationManager.NavigateTo($"/ServiceRequests/serviceRequestsaddedit2/{Id}", forceLoad: true);
}
else
{
// its a download
IFileProvider provider = new PhysicalFileProvider(uploads);
IFileInfo fileinfo = provider.GetFileInfo(path + SelectedFileName);
var readStream = fileinfo.CreateReadStream();
var mimeType = "application/pdf";
return File(readStream, mimeType, SelectedFileName);
}
}
On the last statement I am a getting the following error message
non-invocable member 'File' cannot be used like a method error message
What am I missing or do I need to change or add to have the output from the readstream render to the browser?
The blazor application is a blazor server app not WASM. It does not make use of API controllers.
Any advice?
This is a void method. You can't return anything at all. Also, if you're trying to instantiate a File object, you'd have to use the new keyword.

Arquillian ShrinkWrap how to add an asset to the file system path

I am importing a library that reads from the file system instead of my web archive's resource folder. I want to be able to essentially mock that file by adding an asset with that path using ShrinkWrap, so I can run tests on my build server without guaranteeing the file system has all these files. I tried to add a String Asset in the appropriate path, but the code can't find that asset. Here's an example of what I'm trying to achieve.
Rest Resource
#Path("/hello-world")
public class HelloWorldResource {
#GET
public Response getHelloWorld(){
return Response.ok(getFileContent()).build();
}
private String getFileContent() {
StringBuilder builder = new StringBuilder();
try {
BufferedReader bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(
new FileReader(
"/usr/myFile.txt"));
String line = bufferedReader.readLine();
while (line != null) {
builder.append(line);
line = bufferedReader.readLine();
}
}
catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
return builder.toString();
}
}
Test
#RunWith(Arquillian.class)
public class HelloWorldResourceTest {
#Deployment
public static WebArchive createDeployment()
{
WebArchive webArchive = ShrinkWrap
.create(WebArchive.class)
.addPackages(true,
HelloWorldApplication.class.getPackage(),
HelloWorldResource.class.getPackage(),
Hello.class.getPackage())
.add(new StringAsset("Blah"),"/usr/myFile.txt")
.addAsWebInfResource(EmptyAsset.INSTANCE, "beans.xml");
System.out.println("WebArchive: " + webArchive.toString(true));
return webArchive;
}
#Test
#RunAsClient
public void testHello(
#ArquillianResteasyResource("hello-world") final WebTarget webTarget)
{
final Response response = webTarget
.request(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
.get();
String hello = response.readEntity(String.class);
System.err.println("Hello: " + hello);
Assert.assertEquals("Status is not OK", response.getStatus(), 200);
}
}
Web Archive toString

/WEB-INF/classes/com/helloworld/dataobjects/
/WEB-INF/classes/com/helloworld/dataobjects/Hello.class
/WEB-INF/beans.xml
/usr/
/usr/myFile.txt
I get the following error:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /usr/myFile.txt (No such file or
directory)
Seems like ShrinkWrap is adding /usr/myFile.txt as a relative path within the archive instead of making it seem like /usr/myFile.txt is at the root directory of my file system. Is there any way I can get ShrinkWrap to do what I want?
Shrinkwrap is intended to create archives, so the API is scoped to create assets within the archive you are creating. If you want to have resources created in the regular filesystem simply use JDK, there is nothing Shrinkwrap could help you with.
Alternatively, if possible, change your resource to read resources from the classpath, not filesystem path. With this approach, you can easily swap content for the test using Shrinkwrap as you are trying now with your example.

Unable to change file name after File Upload using WebApi MultipartFormDataStreamProvider

Im using WebApi to upload a file, but when I run
request.Content.ReadAsMultipartAsync(provider)
The file is uploaded but its file name is totally changed.
I read something about that says that it is automatically made for security reasons. Anyway I want to store the file with the real file name. Any idea how to do it?
This simple override fix this issue
public class MyMultipartFormDataStreamProvider : MultipartFormDataStreamProvider
{
public MyMultipartFormDataStreamProvider(string path) : base(path)
{ }
public override string GetLocalFileName(System.Net.Http.Headers.HttpContentHeaders headers)
{
// override the filename which is stored by the provider (by default is bodypart_x)
string originalFileName = headers.ContentDisposition.FileName.Trim('\"');
return originalFileName;
}
}

Different project settings for user Intellij Idea

How can I do different project settings for users in the same project. I have a project with some .properties file like email.properties which contains user-specific settings.I need something like user-specific enviroment settings, something like this: email..properties, and variable contains in OS enviroment or, maybe, in project file
Here's how I've done this in some projects. I create a System Property to the path of the property file. The path is outside of the project so the properties file is never committed. But to help others who are running the project for the first time, I commit a template properties file with default options.
In intellij, I start the project with a different -D option than my coworkers do and the startup options don't get committed (because we don't commit the .idea folder).
As a result a do the same: at first I created properties folder in propject root, add there file env.properties which contains current environment name (or user can add it as JVM start paramenter -Denv=<env name>. I add static class and method Properties getProperty(String fileName) which receive property file name as parameter and return all records in file as java.util.Properties.
public static Properties loadProperties(String fileName)
{
Properties properties = null;
if (propertiesMap.containsKey(fileName)) {
properties = (Properties)properties.get(fileName);
} else {
String environment = getEnvironment();
try {
properties = (new PropertiesLoaderImpl()).LoadAllPropertiesForUtilAndEnv(environment, fileName);
} catch (FileNotFoundException exception) {}
}
return properties;
}
private static String getEnvironment() {
// Проверка на наличие параметра при запуске java-машины
String environment = System.getProperty("env");
if (environment == null) {
try {
// Попытка найти файл env.properties
ResourceBundle bundle = ResourceBundle.getBundle("properties/env");
environment = bundle.getString("env");
} catch (MissingResourceException exception) {
environment = "";
}
}
return environment;
}
Property search implements that way:
1. look in ..proeprties;
2. if there is no suitable property, then look in .property;
3. else return empy.
