Remove AD users from SharePoint 2010 - sharepoint-2010

I'm trying to remove all users from one specific OU in AD from our SharePoint 2010 farm.
I have change the Synchronization Connections, so it does not include the specific OU any more.
First I tried to run Profile Sync to see what happened, and to me it seems like nothing changed. All users are still there.
Then I deleted the users with use of the web GUI "Manage User Profiles", and ran a profile sync once more. But still all the users are there.
When I deleted the users and then searched for them, they where gone, but after a Profile Sync, they were all back in the system.
What am I missing out on here?
I can't delete the users from the OU in AD as they still need other services we run, but they shall not have access to our SharePoint farm.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

SharePoint 2013 Performance Point

Dashboard designer error:
The url is not available,does not reference a sharepoint site, or you
do not have permission to connect
This is happening to the site collections under one web application only in the whole Farm. Other web applications are working fine and I can open site collections through dashboard designer.
Any suggestions????
Unattended acc is all set, Site feature is activated, site collection is added to trusted location. On database side, app pool acc has db owner access to web app db. PPS is db owner there as well.
I think this indicates to a deployment issue on this app. Maybe something went wrong when deploying webparts, the assemblies couldnt be registered or were not copied correctly. It could also be a specific access restriction issue in SharePoint or in the file system that SharePoint relies on.
Without any log information it is hard to say what is really the problem - but - have a look at windows event log for any further indications, the general log files that sharepoint/asp.net write or also consider using monitoring tools that can tell you more details on what is happening here.

Move Access Web Database to Another Sharepoint Site

I have an Access web database (the out-of-the-box Project one) and plan to move to another Sharepoint site (a test server). I have done lots of googling and nothing comes up. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

After some trials and errors, I figured out how to do that. First open the Access web db in Access client. Then go to Publish & Save, where you should see an option Save As Local Database. Then open the local database, again go to Publish & Save, you can choose to Publish to Access Services. A pane will appear to let you enter the URL of Sharepoint server and site name. If you have customizations or lots of lookups, there's a good possibility it will not publish. If that's the case, you just need to fix all the errors reported.
I was able to move my Access 2016 app to a new Sharepoint Site by saving it as a .app and uploading it to the new site.

Sharepoint 2010 user not found error

I am getting this error when I try to do the following:
accessing a library settings
accessing a workflow settings
accessing a list settings
accessing a task settings

I'm using SharePoint 2010 on Windows Server 2008 64-bit
I am using an Administrator account.

Check the workflows. Browse to the site, and Edit in SharePoint Designer. If you click on the workflows, there may be one there that was created by a user that no longer exists, or a local user that is not in AD. Save and republish each of them, and you will probably be allright. Bumped into this when our SP admin got married, and her account changed.
A long term solution would be to have a functional account that is not tied to an individual be the login that publishes all of the workflows. Each workflow runs as the user that publishes it, so any account changes can break a workflow.

Integrated Windows Authentication showing wrong loggedin user

I have an asp.net 2.0 application running on IIS 6.0. I am using Integrated Windows Authentication. Some users have two network accounts, a personal account and an administrative account. The problem I am facing is that sometimes when they are logged in on the client side using their personal accounts, the logged in user appears at the server side as the admin account. I am retrieving the logged in user network id using System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name.
I suspect that their admin credentials are being cached somewhere and passed instead.
I had exactly this same problem. The web site was seeing me authenticate as my admin account even though I was logged in as my personal account.
It turns out that in Windows you can associate specific user names and passwords with particular sites. Once that is done, the integrated authentication through IE (and Chrome!) always uses those credentials. And, to make things easy, there is no obvious way to get to those settings through Internet Explorer's settings or options.
To fix your issue on Windows XP:
Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, User Accounts.
Click the Advanced tab.
Click Manage Passwords.
Find the entry in the list the corresponds to the site(s) where you're seeing this behavior. Remove it.
Credit where credit is due: This answer was taken almost word-for-word from an unnamed "Junior Member" at ObjectMix.
For Windows 7, use "Control Panel/Credential Manager" (also available via "Control Panel/User Accounts/Manage Your Credentials"). This lists all cached credentials, and lets you easily delete the ones which are causing problems.
When you use Remote Desktop to connect to a server and save your login credentials, it doesn't only save them for remote desktop, it also uses them for connecting through IE and, apparently, Chrome.
This is an old issue, and still valid. I just found if you save credentials while using mstsc (Remote Desktop), and try to use Integrated Windows Auth against any site that is CNAMEd to that server, it will use the saved credentials. Those will be the ones you need to delete.
My PC is locked down at work and IT have removed Credential Manager from the menu in Control Panel.
I was able to get around this by running cmdkey /list from the command line. In the list of "Currently stored credentials" I located the offending hostname and ran cmdkey /delete:[hostname] (no sq. brackets and replace hostname with your host), which fixed the issue for me.
According to this site, rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, KRShowKeyMgr will bring up the dialog to do this as well.

due to which the Compile Audiences does not work

this problem occurred in windows 7 how ever it worked fine with Server2008
The way i understand it, when you install sharepoint 2010 on your desktop (Windows 7), certain components are very picky about how they are installed (user profiles sync), and some just wont install (FAST search).
This is pretty much the reason i stuck with creating vm's for development.
The best way to resolve this is, open the Forefront Identity Manager 2010 and check for the actual failure. Most of the cases you get problems because of the user trying to connect to AD do not have replication directory changes access.
