I need to get the items I sold at eBay and the detailed information about each sale (who bought it, their exactly shipping address, email and so on).
I'm wondering, what should I use for that: GetMyeBaySelling and GetOrders? They seem to be exactly the same!
Use GetOrders, it is made to retrieve all relevant order information. But make sure to use the Pagination-Attribute, otherwise the call will only return 100 orders.

I am looking for a way to get all the items listed by a different seller. While this is possible to do through the eBay Browse API, there is a delay of a few minutes from when a seller lists an item to when it is visible in the eBay search.
As such, I am looking for a method to return all the items a particular seller (that is not me) has listed that will return the most up to date results.
I have found the https://developer.ebay.com/devzone/xml/docs/reference/ebay/GetSellerList.html method, but I am not certain if it is possible to use it on other sellers. Can I use this method or is there another method that can achieve the required functionality
under the title of the linked url it is written:
Use this call to retrieve items listed by the authenticated user, including item data.
therefore it is clearly not possibile
you could use finding API setting in the filter the username of the seller and get the list of (almost) all the item sold by such seller with few details:
if you need full details then you need to call getItem for each itemID retrieved by finding API
but since eBay released some years ago new APis, if you have to start a new project it can be wise not using the old trading APIs (and also Finding??) that though not deprecated yet, they might be soon
I am trying to use eBay's RESTful Sell API and Buy API to make an order management application. To test the API calls, I have successfully created seller and buyer accounts. Further, I have uploaded some inventory from my sellers account and published the offer.
Now I wish to place an order from the buyers account on the items in the same listing. From my understanding, I have to specify the items to be ordered by providing the Item IDs. However, I cannot figure out how to find the Item ID required for purchasing these items. Where can I find the Item ID's corresponding to an offer?
In case this is not the correct approach and there is some alternate way to go about doing this, what steps am I required to take?
Apparently, the itemId is the same as the listingId. The newer RESTful API's make use of the variable listingId to represent an identifier for a published listing. The same variable is referred to by the name itemId in the older, Trading APIs. The value for listingId/itemId is generated when publishing an offer and converting it into a listing. Thus, it can be fetched either at the time of publishing the offer (present in the response under the variable named listingId) or it can be fetched through an order (present in the response under the variable legacyItemId.
We have built an e-commerce web application (Node backend, Vue frontend). We process the payment using Stripe, but many brands have asked us if the order and inventory control can be done in Shopify. We are trying to figure out the best way integrate a payment module into Shopify so that the brand can manage the fulfilment and inventory through Shopify.
It seems we should use the Order API to create an order and mark it as paid. But how do we know that the product is in stock, and what are the cost for shipping and tax from Shopify when creating the order? I think we can use the Product API to get inventory levels, but where is the shipping and tax endpoints?
If I understand the Order API correctly, we need to tell Shopify what are the shipping costs and tax costs, when a new order is created. Is that right? How could we possibly know those figures? Seems like there should be an endpoint to calculate shipping costs and get a product's tax rates so that we can then pass those figures back into the Order API. Am I missing something?
I thought maybe we are supposed to create an order that has financial_status: pending first to get shipping and tax rates back (does it even give you those?), then update the order to either cancel_reason: customer or cancel_reason: inventory if those rates are too expensive and the order is declined? But surely we need to know what shipping methods are available to the customer in order to tell Shopify which one to use, right? Or does it by default choose the cheapest one when creating an order?
Notes:
We know the customers shipping address
We don't know where the product is warehoused (Shopify does I think)
We don't know the weights or dimensions of the product (Shopify does I think)
This answer is a little bit late, but i hope, i can help others that are struggling with the same issue.
First i would recommend to set up all Shipping Rates and Taxes in Shopify. There are plenty of manuals to achieve this:
https://help.shopify.com/manual/taxes#general-process-to-set-up-taxes
https://help.shopify.com/manual/shipping/rates-and-methods/calculated-rates
After this there are different possibilities to calculate your shipping and tax cost.
Your shipping cost can you get via the active_shipping API, which can be found here:
https://github.com/Shopify/active_shipping
Or the following Shopify Application: https://apps.shopify.com/boxify
However, you may need to know size and storage location for theese solutions.
The taxes can you get via the country in the Admin API, there is a specific key-value pair for this:
https://help.shopify.com/api/reference/country
I hope that's enough information to get closer to solving the issue, for at least someone.
I send a request to eBay API to get my eBay buying. I also want to get some extra information about each item, let's say that's itemCondition and itemCategory (parent and child). GetMyeBayBuyingResponse doesn't contain these fields. So I have to call GetItemRequest for each returned item to get them.
But it's very bad, it would take much more traffic and time. Is there any more efficient way do it?
I also read somewhere at eBay that there was a kind of ability to pack many requests to one request and then send it to reduce traffic and effort. Is it true?
P.S. Note that I'm not asking about itemCondition and itemCategory fields only. There might be any other fields. The goal is make only one request containing many calls.
There are calls with item data:
If you're the seller of the items, ebay proposes to use GetSellerList.
If you want all items you recently bid on / bought, you can use GetBidderList.
For sellers with many products, ebay offers LMS (Marge Merchant Services), but i thinks this is mostly applicable for sellers, I think there are no calls to retrieve bought items.
Anyone know if it's possible, by using Amazon's API, to return all books on sale by one particular seller? For example, if I want to return all books by this seller:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&sshmPath=at-a-glance&isAmazonFulfilled=0&marketplaceID=A1F83G8C2ARO7P&isCBA=&orderID=&asin=B000002UUH&seller=A2UHPMPOX7FENB&isPopup=
You can see in the url the unique id. However, on Amazon's notes for ItemSearch:
MerchantId - An optional parameter you can use to filter search results and offer listings to only include items sold by Amazon
So I'm thinking 'only include items sold by Amazon' means you can only limit by amazon unless anyone knows a way of doing it?
It used to be be possible by doing a brute force search with the Seller* API calls. However these calls have been deprecated since Nov 1 2011, so you're out of luck. If you happen to be working for this particular seller (instead of being simply a customer or a competitor), you'll want to use the APIs available to the seller (MWS) to download inventory reports.
