I have a problem/question with Slickgrid.
On a website I have a big table and i want it to be rendered with slickgrid.
Loading data via JS is not possible.
So my question is, whether it is possible to get the data of a HTML-Table as source for a slickgrid?
And if yes how can I solve this?
I don't think SlickGrid suits your needs best here. I think DataTables will be better suitable to convert HTML-table data to a formatted grid which supports jQuery.

You could also load data by looping through your existing table to create your data variable.
Hide the HTML table
For each row in the table
Assign cell content to data[rownumber][column_name or number]
next
Then take the populated data variable and feed it to SlickGrid

I found that DataTables now supports colspan and rowspan. but to use it better, I needed to duplicate same data thrice. What I need to make is something as image below, and I can't find whether DataTables supports splitting a row into multiple rows.
The image shows how I modify each set of data. It means, there will be 5 columns for each data, and it will be split into 3 lines.
Even the question was about duplicating, if there's other way to make a row/set of row for each data with same shape as image, than please explain.
Ok, I found very wierd trick.
I just made display:none to original table, and only showed child row table.
Not like original table, child row was free to custom the format.

The problem was to add a new field to existing datasource and fill it with some default value.
I have tried so via this aticle
But the actual result is that new column was added, but it filled with a null value.
Where I was wrong and can I fix it in the same way?
It would be hard to tell without looking at how you have added the new column in your ingestions spec.
I will suggest using druid unified console data loader UI > and parse your input data > define the additional column under transform section. The advantage of data loader UI is that you can preview the transformed result immediately and once the workflow is completed you will get an ingestions spec and can submit it from there itself.

Maybe the result is related to the fact that existing segments don't have the new field and therefore show null.
now i face a problem that i need to add a dynamic table inside my pdf model. as far as i search the answer. they are all insert fixed length content(just like below link). I want to sort information in a dojo EnhancedGrid (connected to database through JsonRestStore). I know dojo grids provide functionality to sort based on a single column. However, in my grid, one column contains combined information from multiple fields (e.g., last name, first name, email, age) of database table. Is there a simple way to sort the grid or the data in the store based on a single filed in database table (e.g., last name)?
It seems I can use "query" to change the view of the store (grid is a view of the store if I understand correctly), but I don't understand how to write a query to do that. Can anyone give me more information about the syntax of using query or how to solve this issue?

It looks like you have to use what is called a comparatorMap for customized grid sorting.
here's one example :

inside the comparator map function is where you would convert the strings to
numbers and make the numeric comparison.
May I know if it's possible to have a drop down box in every row in the Rally Table?

If you'd like to also make an update to the data when the value of the dropdown changes you'll want to wire up a listener to the onChange event and then use RallyDataSource's update method to change the data in Rally.
