I'm developing a Cocoa application for Mac. In the application, I have to add a footer to a table for adding and deleting rows like in the attached image:
Is there any default controls present for such type of footer view?
If there is no such default control, I have to use the image.
There is no such default control. you can create a custom control like this or you can get this effect by taking a image and two buttons.
You can check out Bottom bar in NSWindow for a similar problem and suggestions to solve it!

I'm writing a codenameone application where I want to have an image displayed across the top of the screen as a header. I do not want to include this image in every form/container that I create so therefore I came up with the following solution:
I have a Main form which contains the image (North) and a container (Center) which will then hold all the components of the specific screen that I want to show.
I will then create containers that represent each individual screen. My idea was to add these containers to the container of the main form, one by one and that navigation between them would be handled by changing the contents of that main screen container.
But I cannot find out how to make this work. As long as I have one single screen to show it is easy... The main form container can be an embedded container that is set to show the container for the single screen. But when I try to navigate to another I cannot make it work.
So, is there another approach I should use?
If not, how should I handle navigation between screens?
Is this with a GUI builder app or with a handcoded app?
Either way a simple way of customizing this if your app has a side menu or Toolbar would be to customize the TitleArea UIID to include your background image. E.g. start with a modern theme like the Business Theme and in the designer theme change the title area border property to be "Empty".
Then define the background image to be the image you want with "scaled to fit" or "aligned bottom" depending on what you want. Make sure to include enough space in the image for the title are and use a multi image so it will adapt for other OS's.
I am trying to show an entrybox after tapping an image.
I have this:
And I want to achieve this after tapping on the keyboard image:
The gesture is not a problem I add this lines:
keyboard.GestureRecognizer.Add(new TapGestureRecognizer((view,args) =>
{
ShowEntryBox();
})):
The problem is that I do not know how I can show the entry box, I use XAML. I tried relativelayout and I saw samples of absolutelayout but I can not achieve it.
I am using Xamarin forms to android and ios App.
Perhaps try a Grid?
In the center cell you can create two child controls:-
*) Label control.
*) Entry control.
and then give these controls each a name and set the appropriate .IsVisible value on each of these two controls accordingly, or alternatively hook the IsVisible for each of these controls into a ViewModel and set the state there instead.
I am currently trying to add multiple imageviews like in this picture (http://i.imgur.com/DEkoBD0.png) to a view controller. I would also like the option to be able to delete specific images, and also have the whole view controller in a scrollview incase the user wants to add numerous images.
So far I have one imageview that can be set to either a picture from the camera or from the photo library, what I would like is when a user add's a image, another option displays next to it to upload another image such as the picture in the link I provided.
I am currently using the Xcode 5 with storyboards and developing for iOS 7 also.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Simply use a UICollectionView !

It will allow you to add functionalities like delete or add for example (w/ ScrollView ;) )!
Is there a way to have a fixed non animated header in a sencha app and still retain page animation and browsing history?
I need my header to not animate on a page slide. The way i tried it is:
-main container (v box)
--header container
--card container(card layout)
---card
---card2
---card3
Etc
And I manually switch the cards inside the card container with setActiveItem(index)
The header is never animated in/out but I dont have history now so the only way to have a back button is manually hard coding it with setActiveItwm(prevIndex)
Its an unfortunate and dirty solution maybe somebody else has a better one.
Yes I achieved it using sencha architect to test. From memory I created a base container that had layout vbox. Inside that I had a top tabpanel and under that a tabpanel. I then set the flex on the top panel to 0.2 and the tabpanel to 0.8. That way my header will always be 20% height on any device. I hope this helps.
You require Ext.navigation.View
Use Ext.navigation.View and create basic navigation between views...then hide the navigation view you can do that by making the navigationBar property as hidden:true
Next have a common navigation header as you have mentioned above...
Going forward using a button lets say would be by using
button.up('navigationview').push({xtype: 'card2'});
This button will be somewhere in your card which takes you to next card
Similarly for going back on button click
button.up('navigationview').pop();
button.up('navigationview').pop(2);//Will take you two views back and so on
These buttons will be on your common header
I'm working with Xcode doing a Ipad app.
i simply want user to click anywhere on screen (not counting text fields) to perform some IBAction.I'm using an invisible button that covers my whole view.
Since I have some text fields in my view,i need to add this invisible button to the background of my user interface. I cant seem to find this option in the button attributes? any help?
Just set the button's type to custom.
Did you try setting the opacity of the button to zero?
I guess i got your point. You just want to put the UIButton(invisible) on the back of all the UITextField. The simple solution to this is open the Document Window in the IB. Now expand the view tree in the list view. Just drag your UIButton above the UITextFields and set the alpha value for the button in the property to be zero.
Hope this helps!!
iPad users don't "click". They "tap" or "touch".
In Interface Builder, I believe views are constructed with a z-index from top to bottom as they appear in the document window, so dragging your button so that it appears as the first subview of your main view should be a quick fix for this.
Have you considered other approaches? This doesn't sound like standard behaviour for an app and will probably cause havoc with anybody using Voice Over. What are you trying to accomplish?
