I'm working on a safari extension. I've included a start script in it, but it is not working with download link. for instance if I navigate to www.example.com/example.zip script is not getting called. I was wondering if it is possible to get it to work with download links?

I am trying to access my VueJS application running on my node server on IE11 by accessing the URL http://localhost:8080. However I cant access the same as only a blank screen appears. I have babel polyfill installed and imported in my main file and have babel presets already setup in babelrc file.
My app is currently running and is accessible on Chrome but not on IE11.
I don't get a single error message in console and have no clue what could be going wrong. Has anyone ever faced this?
You need to use polyfills. IE11 does not support ES2015, it needs to be transiled by babel. There seem to be various ways of doing this.

With the release of Safari 12, Safari will no longer support NPAPI plugins. My use case is to be able to launch a java application located on a client from a browser extension which I can currently do in Chrome and Firefox with NativeMessaging. From my reasearch, I do not see a way to do this in Safari 12. The closest I can see is their "Safari App Extension" project but this looks like it requires that you package up your native app with the extension and distribute it through the App Store. I am not at all a Mac developer so I am looking for some advice. Does anyone know if Safari supports my use case?
We can create a extension that will download our dmg app with the native code. And run the dmg app after it is getting downloaded.
Then we can place our extension in the safari extension gallery.
We have implemented it in the similar way where our extension look for the json file which in turns download the DMG app that we have kept in the server.
I saw one online video in that video he show package.json,system.config.json,tsconfig.json,typing.json files at one place. In that video he displays url https://angular.io/guide/quickstart .But when i searched that url there is not available coukd you please reffer me that url path

I am using selenium to automate some downloading tasks, but some pages start the downloads automatically and I need to know the links of those downloads during or after the download and the link is not available in the page.
How can I get the URL of the files that started downloading automatically?
If you are using Chrome to run your selenium scripts you can just navigate to the chrome://downloads/ and get the latest download file's URL.
Or you can fire a Ctrl+J keyboard action to the browser using java robot classes and open the tab.
(Chrome downloads page is a html page and you can capture elements in it)
I am using PhoneGap InAppBrowser to load pdf in my app. It is loading pdf in IOS, but there is no location bar shown, and on Android pdf is never loaded.
Here is my code to load pdf
iabRef = window.open('sample.pdf', '_blank', 'location=yes');
Not sure if this counts as an answer, but I believe this is a known bug. It is marked as fixed in the 2.4.0 RC here.
Ran into the same with 2.4.0. I switched to using the _system browser in my open call. It's not ideal, as it opens a browser that simply downloads the file, but at least it works.
