Sencha Touch custom back button - sencha-touch

I need to create a custom back button for a nestedlist. In my controller I have created a listener to capture the button tap event as follows:
onCustomButtonBackTap: function(button, e, options) {
this.getMyList().setDepth(node.data.depth-1); <-- seudo code, does not work
},
My question is how can I set the current level of my nestedlist back by one each time the custom button is clicked? Also, if this approach is not correct, please let me know
Thanks is advance for your help and advice

First you need to get the current active item to set the new one... you need to use the methods in my sample code below to accomplish what you are looking for:
var newIndex = this.getMyList().getActiveItem();
this.getMyList().setActiveItem(newIndex-1);

#Jeff, thank you for your answer but I found the following method which works better in my circumstance
onCustomButtonBackTap: function(button, e, options) {
if (this.getMyList().items.indexOf(this.getMyList().getActiveItem()) > 0) {
this.getMyList().onBackTap();
}
},

Disable the back button in navigation bar

I need to get rid of only the arrow in the navigation bar in Xamarin forms. I tried in but I didn't get a proper solution. please help me overcome this issue. Thanks in advance.
!! I NEED TO REMOVE PERMANENTLY
solutions that I'm tried up to now :
Shell.SetBackButtonBehavior(this, new BackButtonBehavior
{
IsEnabled=false
});
but still, this didn't help me
There is a easy workaround to solve this.
You could override a Icon with a transparent png file(Follow is a transparent png):
and set enabled be false as follows:
Shell.SetBackButtonBehavior(this, new BackButtonBehavior
{
IconOverride = "transparent.png",
IsEnabled = false
}) ;
Then the effect as follows:
Note: You will see that we also can tap that area, therefore we need to set enabled be false.
Based on this official sample to test that.
You can set this using the Xamarin.Forms.NavigationPage class, from within a view's code behind file. E.g. within a ContentPage's constructor.
NavigationPage.SetHasBackButton(this, false);

How can I get a click on a row in a table in Cuba framework?

I have to detect a click in a row in a table in Cuba framework but I don't find how.
I have a TreeTable. Then I have a button. If I have nothing selected in the table, I want the button disabled. If I click on a item I want the button to be enabled. If I click on a sub-item, I want the button to be disabled.
It is possible, in the action of the button to use a:
trackSelection = true
That will work, but enabled the button too if I click on a sub-item.
Then The idea is, when anything is clicked on the table, then do something. I have only to track the selection of any item, and then do a logic.
How can I track this selection?
I have tried anything like:
table.setClickListener("columnId", new CellClickListener() {
#Override
public void onClick(Entity item, String columnId) {
// TODO Auto-generated method stub
LOG.info("On cell click");
}
});
First, that don't work, even if I click on a cell. Then even if it will work, I have the complete row and not only a cell.
Somebody have an idea?
Thanks
Best regards
You can react on selection change in Table using CollectionDatasource.ItemChangeListener:
employeesDs.addItemChangeListener(event -> {
log.info("Datasource {} item has been changed from {} to {}",
event.getDs(), event.getPrevItem(), event.getItem());
});

tvOS: Focus first button as preferred focus view when buttons are in horizontal order

I have been trying to focus the first button but focus engine takes the third button right below the tab bar as the first item to be focussed. I tried with preferred focus view but found that when i place the buttons in vertical order then preferred takes the preferred view to be focussed but when i placed all the buttons in horizontal plane it always takes the third button.The other approach i can think of if Focus Guide but i wonder how that will work in this scenario?
override weak var preferredFocusedView: UIView? {
get {
return thrirdButton
}
}
It happens because focus engine takes the nearest possible focus element as 1st element as you can see from the picture attached.I have attached the context screenshot for the view controller. Any help or clue to solve this will be appreciated.
Solution :
We need to add focus guide just above button 3 and redirect it to button one when the focus guide is focussed.
private var focusGuide = UIFocusGuide()
self.view.addLayoutGuide(focusGuide)
self.focusGuide.bottomAnchor.constraintEqualToAnchor(self.button3.topAnchor).active = true
self.focusGuide.leftAnchor.constraintEqualToAnchor(self.button3.leftAnchor).active = true
// Width and height
self.focusGuide.widthAnchor.constraintEqualToAnchor(self.button3.widthAnchor).active = true
self.focusGuide.heightAnchor.constraintEqualToAnchor(self.button3.heightAnchor).active = true
focusGuide.centerXAnchor.constraintEqualToAnchor(self.button3.centerXAnchor).active = true
override func didUpdateFocusInContext(context: UIFocusUpdateContext, withAnimationCoordinator coordinator: UIFocusAnimationCoordinator) {
self.focusGuide.preferredFocusedView = button1
}
Try adding a UIFocusGuide just above the button rows. In that case, before reaching the button, it will hit your focus guide in which you can redirect the preferredFocusedView to that particular button. The code to redirect is to be done by overriding didUpdateFocusInContext method.
Assuming you have setup the focus guide in viewDidload, the following is a sample,
override func didUpdateFocusInContext(context: UIFocusUpdateContext, withAnimationCoordinator coordinator: UIFocusAnimationCoordinator) {
super.didUpdateFocusInContext(context, withAnimationCoordinator: coordinator)
self.focusGuide.preferredFocusedView = self.mypreferredbutton
}
TO initialise a focus guide ( Do the addition of guide to view in viewDidLoad)
var focusGuide = UIFocusGuide()
self.view.addLayoutGuide(self.sidefocusGuide)
self.focusGuide.leftAnchor.constraintEqualToAnchor(self.placerLabel.leftAnchor).active = true
self.focusGuide.rightAnchor.constraintEqualToAnchor(self.placerLabel.rightAnchor).active = true
self.focusGuide.topAnchor.constraintEqualToAnchor(self.audioTable.topAnchor).active = true
I too faced a similar issue but somehow able to do it through this. The preferredFocusedView approach will also work, but you have to do lot of circus by updating some reference variable and then calling setneedsfocusupdate for that view. Try the focus guide way. Hope it helps.
EDITED:
I have added code how to setup the guide. In this case I have put the guide on the right side of my view. So, whenever your focus hits the guide, it redirects to the preferredfocusguide view that you want the focus to go to in the didUpdateFocusInContext. "There is only one view in focus at anytime.", remember thes ? So, the moment it hits the guide, the overriden method gets hit which in turn moves your focus to the guide's preferred view. For examples, you can refer to Apple's UIKitCatlog app for tvOS and here is one link explaining the same.
The best way to give the initial focus to your preferred view is by using preferredFocusEnivronments.
override var preferredFocusEnvironments: [UIFocusEnvironment] {
return [firstButton]
}
preferredFocusEnvironments will be called before didUpdateFocus, that way you can inform the system, where you want the focus to be redirected.

Titanium: click on element(View, Label e.t.c.) should increase its top by 1

I've binded the same function to all elements that I want(let's say View and Label).
In this onClick handler function I want to get the element which was clicked and increase its 'top' by 1.
Please tell me if you know how to do that, I can't find an answer yet.
My global click handler function:
function increaseElementTop(e) {
// Here we should increase element's top position.
Ti.API.info(JSON.stringify(e));
}
Thanks, any help is appreciated.
Get the e.source attribute from the Event e. Then use the setTop() method.
if (e.source == $.yourLabel) {
$.yourLabel.setTop($.yourLabel.getTop() + 1)
}
UPDATE: Regarding your comment: I thought it would only be used for two elements. A universal approach would be something like this:
e.source.setTop(e.source.getTop() + 1);
Unfortunately I have no machine available to test the code but I will do so later (Tuesday I guess). Just try it and let your programm print the e.source variable. If this does not work you can also try to use e.source.getId().
function increaseElementTop(e) {
var theUIElement = e.source;
theUIElement.top = theUIElement.top + 1;
}
Add the event listener to each of your UIElements, and this will get the element you click on & modify the top.

on(release) {...} or myButton.onRelease = function() {...} - action script 2 issues

I am having real confusion with some flash banners I'm creating and making the button into a clickable object which opens a web page.
I have been using this code for a while below, which works...
on(release){
getURL("http://www.the-dude.co.uk", "_blank");
}
And I placed this code on actual button within the actions panel
However I have been told the code above is very old and that I should use action script like below...
buttonInstance.onRelease = function() {
getURL("http://www.the-dude.co.uk", "_blank");
}
So I've tried to get this method below to work but nothing happens when I click the button, and I get one error, this...
So in a nutshell I cannot get this newer code to work! Ahh
Can anyone please help me understand where I am going wrong?
I have tried placing the new code in the Scene 1 of my actions. No worky..
And I've also tried placing the code below, actually on my button within the actions panel...
this.onRelease = function() {
getURL("http://www.the-dude.co.uk", "_blank");
}
Still not working.
My scene settings are alway this...
Any help would be great thanks.
You need to place the code below on the same timeline as the instance of the button (as you tried). And the instancename of the button must be "buttonInstance".
You can set the instance name in the properties panel when the button is selected.
buttonInstance.onRelease = function() {
getURL("http://www.the-dude.co.uk", "_blank");
}
