Detect VC++ Redistributable ATL SP1 (Before Setup begins) - wix

My project depends upon "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update", I want to put a check at the beginning of the setup to display a condition error if the package is not installed..
I checked this question: How to detect VC++ 2008 redistributable?? I cannot find the registry entry provided for visual C++ 2005 SP1 ATL Security Update runtime files (After installing the redistributable manually)..
What am I doing wrong here? And is there a better to detect the redistributable package?
Thanks,

For anyone else looking for the same answer:
Installed OR (HASVCPP200564)
There are different registry guids for 32/64 bit, the above is 64 bit.

Could not load file or assembly 'sapnco_utils.DLL' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found

Someone knows how to fix this. I did all of these things
I cleaned up Temporal files. Win + R
I cleaned up Temporal file from C:\Windows...\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\
I removed the dll and added again
I changed the app pool option: Enable 32 bits is true.
I changed the option: Load User Profile is now true.

Only you need to install
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Pack (x86) (mscvp100.dll)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Pack (x64) (mscvp100.dll)

Automatic download and installation of Visual Studio Redistributable

My SW project depends on Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.
If the Redistributable is not installed on a target machine, I would like to download it from the Internet and install it during installation of my project.
Is it possible to do using Wix installer?
I prefer not to use merge modules and include the Redistributable to the my application installer.
Thanks
Yes, using a bundle. See http://wixtoolset.org/documentation/manual/v3/howtos/redistributables_and_install_checks/install_dotnet.html for how it's done with .NET. For VC redistributables, you'd need to define your own ExePackage for vcredist_x86.exe or vcredist_x64.exe.

Installing the newest version of Wamp server

I'm learning PHP and I'm a newbie in apache, mysql,etc.
I tried to install WAMPServer (The current newest version 2.5) but I get the error:
msvcr110.dll is missing.
I have followed some instructions given here: WAMP shows error 'MSVCR100.dll' is missing when install
However, none of the advice worked for me. I have already installed Visual C++ for windows 32 bits and Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012. After that I installed Visual C++ 2008, it didn't worked either.
And even after that I installed vcredist_x86.exe. This gave me an option to repair my Visual C++, and so I did.
In all my tries I restarted my computer.
I didn't install Visual c++ for windows 64 bits because my os is running a 32 version.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your attention,

Please make sure you have the latest version of all of these Microsoft C/C++ Redistributable runtime libraries. You dont need the whole compiler, just these C/C++ runtime libraries.
The 2008 Redist (32bit) is used by wampmanager even if you installed the 64bit WAMPServer.
The 2010 Redist is used by some versions of Apache ( depending on compiler used ).
The 2012 Redist is used by some versions of Apache ( depending on compiler used ).
FOR WAMP 32bit
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)
If you are using WampServer 2.4/2.5 32bit and therefore Apache 2.4.x
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 is required And select vcredist_x86.exe
Due to the naming convention used by Microsoft dowmloading these libraries can get a little confusing so download them one at a time and install that download before downloading the next and installing that.
To check that you have all the required runtimes, launch 'Programs and Features' by
Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Feature
For a 32bit system it should look something like this, ignore the fact that mine has what look like multiple versions of the same library, its just because when you download a newer version it does not remove the older revisions :-
32bit System example
UPDATE FOR 2018 (WAMPSERVER 3.x)
You need the following Visual Studio Redistributables:
2008
2010
2012
2013
2017
Get both the x86 and x64 versions if you're on a x64 machine.
Also, make sure you set skype to NOT use port 80, otherwise WAMP won't start when Skype is open.

Uunable to see WIX project type in Visual studio 2008/2010

I have Visual Studio 2008, 2010, and WIX37.msi (WIX 3.7) installed on my machine.
However, I am unable to see WIX project type in Visual studio 2008/2010.
Do I need to install additional tool/plugin?
I have Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2010 installed on my machine and I installed WiX v3.7 RTM from Codeplex. Things work okay for me. There is a known issue in VS2008 that requires you to set an MSBuild property called RunWixToolsOutOfProc to true. This occurred because parts of WiX v3.7 were incorrectly built against the NETFX4.0 and VS2008 runs on NETFX2.0.
Install v3.0 of WiX Toolset, to make it work with Visual Studio 2008. You can get it here: http://wix.codeplex.com/releases/view/44406
I don't know why it's not documented on their site but apparently you can't install the latest version (3.10 at the moment) and make it work with VS2008.

Where to download vcredist?

I feel a little stupid asking this question, but I hope that this might be helpful to others as well.
Background: We/I are developing some software with Visual Studio 2008 SP1 (VC9). We would like to provide the vcredist along the software on the cd.
Now, I am used to ask google "download vcredist 2008 sp1" and usually it leads me to the following (also bookmarked) web pages:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582 (32 bit)
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=2092 (64 bit)
I think I have downloaded different versions (9.0.30729.01 and later 9.0.30729.17) from that same URL as they came available. Today, only the .17 is available on that page. Now, a customer complained and told me that there is a 9.0.30729.6161 available, but I can't find it. The closest I could get was 9.0.30729.5677:
When I searched google for that specific version, it lead me to this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2538243 which is saying, that a security update is available.
The linked Security Bulletin https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms11-025 lists the vcredist 2008 sp1 as affected and as a new link to something that seems to be an updated version of the vcredist 2008 sp1, although it has a slightly different name, in that it also bears the "mfc" in it's name: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26368
File names, file sizes and version numbers suggest these are updated versions of the vcredist 2008 sp1. This is the version 9.0.30729.5677
Is there ONE URL where I can always pull the newest version ?
Is there some kind of notification system (email list, rss-feed, ...) that informs me about a new vcredist ?
You can download the VC++ redistributables at:
