I have a few questions concerning WLST and Jython:
OS: Unix/Linux
Situation:
1) Unable to include wlst-file created by using writeIniFile automatically
2) using org.python.util.jython without caching message
Information:
1) wlst.py generated by using writeIniFile in an interactive java weblogic.WLST session
2) when starting jython using java org.python.util.jython the message sys-package-mgr: can't create package cache dir, '/opt/oracle/fmw/fmw11gR1PS2/wlserver_10.3/server/lib/weblogic.jar/cachedir/packages' is shown
3) location for often used modules is unkown. For weblogic.WLST this is <WL-Home>/wlserver_10.3/common/wlst/modules
Questions:
1) where should common modules be placed for the included jython?
2) how to change jython cache location?
3) is it possible to update to another jython version?

Yes, you can use another jython, but it is not supported and there are some deffects you have to live with. We use jython 2.7a2.
Here is a script that we use to start jyton.
It will change the cache location and add the FKUTILS directory to the classpath (It's where we store our own modules)

after that you can just start jython the first script, and import your wlst-file.

You can place the common modules, I have not tested it but if it is in the classpath it must pick the new packages for the jython.
2) how to change jython cache location?
The temp directory must be accessible to all users. Check the permissions imposed for the /var/ or /tmp where WLSTTemp folder makes the package caching for reference

It could be extensible with jython, WLST includes jython.jar. To use all other jython modules you should install jython and point your sys.path to the jython installation directory. Hints are available in the discussion thread

I've been trying to start the glassfish server domain with the following command asadmin start-domain domain1 but the result wasn't the expected. This what the outputs is throwing out:

Command start-domain failed.
Btw I've already tried changing the network-listener-port number located inside glassfish folders C:\glassfish4\glassfish\domains\domain1\config\domain.xml from port 8080 to 4949 and it didn't work. Besides I also tried running the start-domain domain1 command in the asadmin batch file and nothing happened, the output still the same.
Any idea how can I fix this out?

After searching the web for hours i didnt yet find an answer to my problem. I am using Python 3.6 and i cant import selenium. I always get the message "No module named 'selenium''
I tried everything, i first downloaded selenium from this website https://pypi.python.org/pypi/selenium/3.6.0 .
Then I tried python -m pip install -U selenium and didnt work either. I tried some other things that people said but they didnt work either.
Im using windows 10.
Any help?

I'm on VS Code in Windows 10, and here's how I solved it.
You need to pay attention to where the Python is located (in my case),
1) C:\Users\_Me_\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\
and where the Python looks for libraries/packages, including the ones installed using pip (again, in my case),
2) C:\Users\_Me_\AppData\Roaming\Python\Python38\
I don't know why these two locations are different (gotta fix it at some point). It seemed that Python was running from the first location, but it was looking for libraries in the second!:/
Anyway, since I have limited experience in Python , I just copied the \Lib\site-packages from the first location (including selenium folders) to \site-packages in second one in hopes of solving the issue, which worked out for me!
How to check for there locations
1) Open Python CLI, typed the following command:
which python
2) Open Python CLI, typed the following commands (From this answer):

Since this seems a temporary solution, I uninstalled Python and reinstalled it again in a proper directory (other than the default install directory), and now which python and which pip point to the same folder! Problem solved!
If these solutions did not work for you, try looking into which Python interpreter your IDE is using (in my case I was using VSCode - you can find the interpreter in the bottom bar). Worked for me.
Easiest way is to copy all files of "venv" Lib, Scripts, Selenium and other folder into your main project folder.
This issue occur as pycharm directly take from virtual environment venv.

Creating a Module TCL Script for OpenFOAM, a system-dependent bashrc file need to be loaded.

I am not an expert, but I have recently come across a similar problem, in my case for activating Anaconda Python in a model. In my case, the solution was to use the 'execute' command in LMod

Run any command with a certain mode. For example execute {cmd=”ulimit
-s unlimited”,modeA={“load”}} will run the command ulimit -s unlimited as the last thing that the loading the module will do.

While installing a kvm via virt-install I have used following attribute os_variant=rhel7.2. While installing I am getting following error :
distro 'rhel7.2' does not exist in our dictionary
When I do uname -r I am getting output as
3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64
It is a RHEL KVM host.
Running osinfo-query os|grep 'Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2' returns following:

What can be solution to this problem?
You could create a custom config file to define a RHEL-7.2 distro, but it is honestly not that important from virt-install's POV. The distro is used to lookup the optimized drivers to use for disk & network primarily. Just using the 'rhel7.1' distro type when installing 'rhel-7.2' will work just fine from this POV.
virt-install get's it's os information out of osinfo-db
If your os does not ship a recent version of osinfo-db you can manually download it from https://releases.pagure.org/libosinfo/ and import it.
e.g.

osinfo-db-import -v osinfo-db-20200325.tar.xz
-v will display all imported os'es, I believe your choice has to match one of the xml files in this list.
I have an established yocto build which I'm now trying to switch over to having a root file system (eg. EXTRA_IMAGE_FEATURES += "read-only-rootfs").
However I'm running into an issue with a recipe in the meta-mono layer: mozroot-certdata. I see the culprit is the pkg_postint script (http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/meta-mono/tree/recipes-mono/mozroot-certdata/mozroot-certdata_1.0.0.bb) which needs to modify the root file system on first boot which the build system is correctly flagging as impossible with a read only root file system:
ERROR: The following packages could not be configured offline and rootfs is read-only: ['mozroot-certdata']
My question is: is there a way to get these mozroot certs installed and configured with mono during the build process, such that the root file system does not need to be modified at boot/run time?
Well, I had a brief look at this late this summer, as I'm also using a read-only rootfs. The problem is that mozroot.exe is hardcoded to write into /usr/share/.mono/certs and does not respect your sysroot. You could probably hack mozroot.exe to actually write the imported files into the sysroot, though my time limit didn't allow me to try this (and neither have I ever looked into mono at all...).
My solution was instead to do the import at every boot. (It could also be done only once, but then the issue about updates come along). To achive this I made a bind mount on the directory where mozroot.exe wants to write the certdata.
Details of my solution
Add a file volatile-binds.bbappend with the following contents:

That will make a bind mount from /tmp/mono-certs to /usr/share/.mono/certs, thus you'll be able to import the certs.

Yes but it requires mosroots binary to be executable at rootfs creation time. See Post-Installation Scripts in documentation.
The 'else' branch in pkg_postinst is what gets executed at that time and if it succeeds, then the delayed postinst is not needed (and you shouldn't get a build error). mono-native recipe already exists so you should be able to depend on that and to fix the else branch in the pkg_postinst function so it finds native mono & mosroots.exe and writes to the correct place under $D.
As Anders mentioned this alone is not enough if you care about package-based upgrades.
