Openfire database settings issue in mac - openfire

I have Openfire 3.7.1 installed on my Mac and have XAMPP installed aswell. I am having trouble configuring OpenFire. In the server settings I have given san-imac.local.lan as the domain name. The selected Standard database connection and picked MySql Database Driver. This is the databse URL jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test and given the username password of XAMPP phpmyadmin. But it says
A connection to the database could not be made. View the error message by opening the "/logs/error.log" log file, then go back to fix the problem.
First of all there is no such file in the /logs folder. What should I do to get this working and follow the procedures to get OpenFire up and running.
I need to build an app to connect to openfire for IM chatting like Gmail, Facebook, Yahoo using XMPP. If anybody could provide any guidance aswell, it will be very helpful.

Make Sure that your database is setup correctly including the name of your database, database username, and user's password. If you have this correctly configured then your opens ire should work just fine. Note that it will not accept if the database username has an empty password or not enough access rights to the database.
I hope that those hints will solve your problem.

check your password and username, I had the same error and it took me a while to figure out that I had my username wrong.

Resolved the issue.
log file is not getting created due to file write permission. To resolve this run OF server as follows
Run the openfire.sh file from terminal with sudo. This will start the OF with root access Now the error log file will be created.
My log file has error message as access denied to user #localhost. As I kept the user field blank in db connection page of openfire set up.
Keep the user field as root#localhost if u are using localhost.

Error in Connection Testing in Mule Database connector

I am trying to connect mysql database with mulesoft database connector, but it is giving error while I do test Connection. I am not able to figure out what is wrong I am doing. Could you please put me in right direction?
Please ask for more information you need from me.
The problem you are facing is not because of Mule component. There may be several other reasons at MySQL side.
As you can see that your credentials are processed by MySQL however denied. This suggests that the problem may not be directly
related with credentials because if credentials were wrong the error would have been different then denied.
When credentials are denied, the problem is mostly related with:
Permission issue - Solution >> Grant permission to use "db_name" from "Localhost"
Your connection string looks fine but sometimes string encoding result this error
Some installed components are interfering with MySql -> Check the components installation
Also
LOCALHOST and "machine name" aren't the same to MySQL.
I'd check from the command line that you can connect to localhost:
mysql --user=<user_name> --password db_name
Enter password: your_password
If it fails, connect and run this with the appropriate permissions:
create user db_name#localhost identified by 'db_name';
grant select on <user_name>.* to db_name#localhost;
Never mind :) I found the solution although did not find what the problem was only suspecting that the root was not having any schema privileges ( as shown by MySQL Workbench GUI).
Earlier I was using command line with which I am not well versed; after struggling a little I downloaded MySQL workbench and added one more user with all administrative and schema privileges and used that to connect with Database connector and God Damn!! it's working.

Cannot login after installation like service AranangoDB Windows7

I looked at the config files everything is fine, made environment variables PATH's, started and restarted the service put in the right password, searched for someone with similar problems(not found).
Every time i go to the default location via browser I get the login screen but when i put in 'root' and the password I get an error message 'Login Failed'.
When I set athenticate=false in the conf file i can access the web manager.
Anybody know how to solve this or at least what might be wrong?
During the installation, the ArangoDB Installer will ask you the password for the administrator user.
Use root as user name with your password to gain access to the database.
Open a CMD-Window in your ArangoDB installation directory.
To re-gain access to the database, stop the ArangoDB database service using
sc stop ArangoDB
after the database was stopped, invoke
.\usr\bin\arango-secure-installation
which will ask you for a new password.
After that, start the service again using:
sc start ArangoDB

I am attempting to use Liquibase to deploy changes to SQL Server.
I have set up the sqljdbc jar file and placed it in my local maven repository. I then attempt to use the liquibase-maven-plugin to run the changes placed in the changelog for the given connection URL.
Here is what my connection URL is: jdbc:sqlserver://localhost:1433;user=Jenkins_BuildServices;password=hi;
I already created the login on my localhost and gave it sysadmin privileges. I also have made sure that the properties -> security is set to both SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode. Any ideas as to why the url being passed in is giving me back this error and not reading it from the URL?

Cyberduck Error "Login Failed"

Exhausted available authentication methods. Please contact your web hosting service provider for assistance.
I continue to receive this error on Cyberduck. I was able to log into the account when I first downloaded Cyberduck. When I was finished with my work I saved/ closed everything, and it was so far so good. I hadn't logged out of the account. But since I have been trying to log back in I have been receiving this error.
Please help.
If you are using Mac, try removing the application password from Keychain. There's a possibility that the old password is corrupted.
For me, my password was set to "$this->request()". So no matter what I type when connecting, Cyberduck used this "old" password.
You use Cyberduck to connect to an FTP server right?
If it's at all possible that anyone else has access to this account and failed to login a magical number of times (usually 3) then the server may have locked your account and needs to be restarted.
Or something is wrong with the server itself.
I hate to say it but contacting whoever is in charge of the server, as it said, is probably best. Without more information there's no way to know what went wrong.
I tried to remove the application password but it kept failing to connect.
The solution was simply to remove and re-install the app.
In my case i was passing the username wrong.
I typed ununtu instead of ubuntu.
Check you server details you entered.

SQL Server Reporting Services - permission always denied

Right, when I logged in using a domain account for my database on the SQL Server Reporting Services, it worked absolutely fine, however on another machine I have entered the wrong password by accident and now it will not let me log in again. I've tried clearing the internet cache, stored passwords etc... and still no luck. So currently I am locked out of the report server on a machine.
Is there a way to make it forget so I can login from scratch?
Cheers for any help
Error:
The permissions granted for user 'domain\username' are insufficient
for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)
I know they are not insufficient as I use my account on another machine no issues.
Try a different browser first. If that doesn't work, try clearing the stored passwords off your system.
You can refer this.
the login and password works, that's not the issue. please open internet explorer as an administrator (right-click, run as administrator), open http://localhost/Reports/ and check under "site settings" on the top right corner that the permissions are set correctly.
