Gedit Zen Coding Plugin - gedit

I've tried multiple times to install the Zen Coding plugin for Gedit in Ubuntu 11.10. (I have all the latest updates installed.) I know I'm doing it correctly because I've done it on other installations with no problem but for some reason it doesn't even show up in the plugins list. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks!

I found that for GEdit 3 this plugin works : https://github.com/mtrovo/zen-coding-gedit3.

Ubuntu 11.10 ships with Gedit 3, 11.04 had Gedit version 2. Plugins written for version 2 will (supposedly) not work with the newer version, as it uses GTK3, while Gedit2 used GTK2.
Some of the plugin changes are:
New folder: ~/.local/share/gedit/plugins
.gedit-plugin extension should be named .plugin
[Gedit Plugin] header should be [Plugin]
IAge=2 should be IAge=3
All plugins must have a .plugin file along side it.
Here's a blog post I found that covers making plugins for Gedit 3. And here's a relevant question on AskUbuntu.

My Netbeans 12.2 on Ubuntu only has lightweight & temporary C++ IDE, can't find the real one

In Netbeans 12.2 on Ubuntu 18.04 (using that snap install), for my C++ plugin I have that first image. When I try to create a new project I get that second image. That is some kind of a lightweight version that does not do your makefiles for you. If I try to open an existing C++ project it just never IDs any project file or folder as the right one. And notice that this version does not include a "Create from source code".
Does anyone know how I can install the "real" c++ plugin? I've looked in a lot of tutorials but they all say it should be there under Available Plugins, but it is not there.
This comes very late but it seems that Netbeans 12 lacks some components for this.
Therefore you must enable Netbeans 8.2 Plugin Portal from Plugins Settings.
Then deactivate the C/C++ and then force updates from Updates -> Check for Updates. Restart IDE and install 8.2 C/C++ plugin.
Note: I have lead into this problem now because unpack2000 is no more present.
The validation of downloaded plugins cannot be completed, cause: NBM ../.netbeans/12.4/update/download/org-netbeans-modules-cnd-kit.nbm needs unpack200 to process following entries:
netbeans/modules/locale/org-netbeans-modules-cnd-kit_ja.jar.pack.gz
netbeans/modules/locale/org-netbeans-modules-cnd-kit_pt_BR.jar.pack.gz
netbeans/modules/locale/org-netbeans-modules-cnd-kit_ru.jar.pack.gz
netbeans/modules/locale/org-netbeans-modules-cnd-kit_zh_CN.jar.pack.gz
netbeans/modules/org-netbeans-modules-cnd-kit.jar.pack.gz
This can be resolved by installing jre-11 (if it is not present already. I have it on Opensuse Thubleweed amogst with jre-16).
So then you just start netbeans from terminal with:
$ netbeans --jdkhome "/usr/lib64/jvm/jre-11"
...and then install blugin, and when it is ready close netbeans and start it normally again.
Just wanted to report that the answer from Devspain also works with Netbeans 14, in Ubuntu 22.04.

Where can I download mono-4.6.1.5?

For a particular script, I need to download the package mono-4.6.1.5 for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
However, I can not do it from the official mono web site.
Anyone knows where I could get the .tar.gz package since the one I have is corrupted?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.
It is always recommended to run latest maintained and compatible version of packages complying with the operating system, excluding specific cases such as experimental purposes and etc.
But if you still need this specified version, you can find the "tar.bz2" format file on this page. There are certain ways to install a tar.bz2 file on Ubuntu, but if you need the tar.gz file, you can convert it by a similar way explained here.
P.S: I'm aware that this package is from a Fedora repo, but I have successfully tried and installed Fedora packages on my Ubuntu 18.04 before. I assume this might also work for you.
Ho, btw, I found another link in my archives: mono project

Syntax highlighting for Pycharm - TextMate Plugin [duplicate]

I found this but honestly not sure how to install it or whether it applies. Thanks!
Ruby plug-in that you have linked is designed for IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate only, it will not work with PhpStorm. See this answer for more details.
However, it's possible to get the basic syntax highlighting for Ruby files in PhpStorm using the TextMate bundles support plug-in. It's already included with PhpStorm 6.0.1 and you don't need to install it, just make sure it's enabled in Settings | Plugins.
Git clone Ruby.tmbundle into some directory.
Add this directory in Settings | TextMate Bundles:
For some reason PhpStorm TextMate Bundles support will not recognize *.rb files as supported by this bundle. To fix this problem open Ruby.tmbundle\Syntaxes\Ruby.plist file in some text editor, find <key>fileTypes</key> section, add <string>rb</string> under <array>
(the above should be fixed in the latest Ruby bundle version, so the editing the bundle is no longer needed, but if you are adding some other language bundle, it's something you may need to adjust)
Restart PhpStorm, verify that *.rb is now associated correctly:
Now you get Ruby syntax highlighting in PhpStorm:
If you need full support for both Ruby and PHP (plus much more) in a single IDE, consider using IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate.
CrazyCoder's git repo doesn't work in windows systems, as a large number of the filenames are invalid in Windows.
I have, however, found the official repo for ruby for textmate:
https://github.com/textmate/ruby.tmbundle
I actually copied over my PhpStorm theme to RubyMine with no issue, so it should go both ways.
I went as far as to create a TextMate keymap for PhpStorm as well, you can take a look here: http://tentaclecms.com/blog/2013/08/textmate-keymap-for-phpstorm/

Overriding Dojo version for a particular Xpages database

Apple's iOS 8 breaks certain tap functionality in versions of dojo prior to 1.9.4 (see Xpages mobile controls not working in iOS8
The current version of Dojo in Domino 9.0.1 FP2 is 1.9.2 but that does not fix the issue. You have to use at least 1.9.4.
I have downloaded 1.9.4 and placed it in the correct folder on our test server. But I cannot get things to work. I changed the folder name of dojo 1.9.4 to 1.4.0 as I only want to use this version for 2 dbs that are having the problem.
Question 1:
What line do I put in the xsp.properties file:
xsp.client.script.dojo.version = 1.4.0
xsp.client.script.dojo.path = / domjs / dojo-1.4.0
Question 2:
There are so many things to download when I go to the dojo download page. I downloaded the zip file and used that.
When I run code to test what version of dojo I have I get 1.9.4. But when I try to load my page, I get an error.
dojo._loaders: TypeError: dojo._loaders is undefined
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
You probably have the right dojo zip, this one: http://download.dojotoolkit.org/release-1.9.4/dojo-release-1.9.4.zip. As you say, unzip that to the dojo-1.9.4 folder in <server-install>\data\domino\js\, or name the folder 1.4.0 if you want to specify it for only a few apps.
You will indeed need to copy the IBM folder from the <server-install>\osgi\shared\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.xsp.dojo_9.0.1.<date-stamp>\xsp.dojo.jar into your new 1.9.4 (or 1.4.0) dojo folder. Little chance of anything working without it. Copying the ibm folder from the 1.5.2 folder is a bad idea as that is old code, and you'd certainly have issues with it working with dojo 1.9.4. In Fix Pack 2, the ibm folder from the plugin was tested/designed to work with dojo 1.9.2 (the version in that jar), so it should play fairly nice with 1.9.4.
In your XPages app, in the xsp.properties, you should only need the line:
xsp.client.script.dojo.version = 1.9.4
Rebuild your app, restart the server etc, and you should be good to go.
DISCLAIMER: This is a work-around, not a supported solution by IBM. There may be unexpected issues using this approach. It's used at your own risk.
You commented already on that topic here so I think you tried this one? http://hasselba.ch/blog/?p=323

Bugzilla install on Windows 7 with Apache & Mysql

Environment:
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
Apache 2.2.25
ActivePerl 5.18.2 Build 1802 (64 bit)
Bugzilla 4.4.5 (extracted)
Okay, I have followed step-by-step instructions as indicated here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Bugzilla:Win32Install
There's 1 major issue that I've researched all day and cannot find a solution. It's the "ppm install DBD-mysql" issue. There is no "DBD-mysql". When I use the ppm gui, there's a DBD-mysqlpp , but that's not what's needed.
When I run in a command window: C:\bugzilla\checksetup.pl , I get the only error:
Checking for DBD-mysql (v4.001) not found
For MySQL, Bugzilla requires that perl's DBD::mysql 4.001 or later be
installed. To install this module, run the following command (as Administrator):
ppm install DBD-mysql
Well, I found DBD-mysql 4.028 here: http://search.cpan.org/~capttofu/DBD-mysql-4.028
However, trying to get the perl ppm (perl package manager) gui to see it, but even pointing the link in the gui preferences it still wouldn't see it to download and install it. This sucks.
So, I manually downloaded it and saw some crap "makefile.pl" file. Look, I use WINDOWS not LINUX, so naturally I rolled my eyes but it quickly became clear that I HAD to do this. Well, after about an hour of screwing around I was finally able to make a mysql_config.pl file. Oh wow, great.... now what!? What do I do next with this??
Not only is this part aggravating, but now I need mod_perl in my Apache. Okay, so I look in my .conf file where I can uncomment:
#LoadModule perl_module modules/mod_perl.so
Guess what... it's not there. (facepalm)
So I researched and downloaded mod_perl 2.0.8 from: http://perl.apache.org/download/index.html
Heh, ... guess what... another damn "makefile" file!! Let me tell you, this is as bad as being a MAC user in the late 90's and trying to find a program to be compatible.
So, my 2 main questions are these:
How do I get DBD-mysql properly installed
How do I get the mod_perl properly installed
I have been working 12 hours non-stop trying to get Bugzilla installed. At this point, I'm so frustrated beyond believe I'm ready to scrap this and install flyspray or some other php/mysql bug tracking system.
For future reference in case anyone stumbles upon this item:
Most Perl modules have installation instructions, either in their .pod documentation or in a README or INSTALL file.
Most Perl modules follow a similar installation mechanism: create a makefile; run make; make test (which runs a set of tests, unsurprisingly), and then install the module. From the commandline, this looks like the following:
$ perl Makefile.PL
$ make
$ make test
$ make install
Both mod_perl and DBD::mysql have platform-specific installation information in the release notes.
DBD-mysql is a package that you can find in ActiveState Package Repository. That means that it should be installed at the time you installed ActivePerl, making your question really strange. I know it because I just did it yesterday, and everything worked just fine.
A possible solution for this issue is:
Open the command line in Windows;
Type ppm, press enter and wait. A GUI for the Perl Package Manager will be displayed;
Search for DBD-mysql. If you find it, schedule it for installation by right-clicking it and clicking on Install DBD-mysql 4.022;
Although, you probably won't find it. If you don't, press Ctrl+P and, in the dialog that appears, select the Repositories tab. Add a new repository:
Name: ActiveState-Package-Repository
Location: http://ppm4.activestate.com/MSWin32-x64/5.16/1604/package.xml
It will update the list of packages. Repeat steps 1 to 3.
If you prefer doing it by the command line, these are the instructions:
ppm repo add ActiveState-Package-Repository http://ppm4.activestate.com/MSWin32-x64/5.16/1604/package.xml
ppm install DBD-mysql
