CSS image wipes animation - webkit

From CSS's trick image wipe >>> http://css-tricks.com/webkit-image-wipes/
I have tried the technique above but with no success only when I use :
<div><span id="image"></span></div>
instead of
<div><img src="" /></div>
Has anyone ever tried this before? Is there a workaround?
Thanks for the help.

Your span tag is not closed. You've written </span instead of </span>
Edit
check this
http://jsfiddle.net/sandeep/jqacs/5/
i am use color instead of image because they are not working but it's doesn't matter.
Changes
i remove position:absolute & z-index from span id's tunnel_mask1 & tunnel1 .So, in span i given display:block .
Note: if it necessary to give position:absolute to your span id then give animation properties in #tunnel1 instead of div:nthchild(2)*

Selenium XPATH selecting next sibling

<div class="block wbc">
<span></span>
<span> text_value </span>
</div>
for getting text in second span where does below code go wrong?
driver.find_element(X_PATH,"*//div[#class='block']/span[1]")
For trying by yourself, maybe I write sth wrong here is link
https://soundcloud.com/daydoseofhouse/snt-whats-wrong/s-jmbaiBDyQ0d?si=233b2f843a2c4a7c8afd6b9161369717&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
And my code; still giving an error
playbackTimeline__duration =driver.find_element(By.XPATH,"*//div[#class='playbackTimeline__duration']/span[2]")
For finding web element clearly:
//*[#id="app"]/div[4]/section/div/div[3]/div[3]/div/div[3]/span[2]
But I will not use this way, I need declare with class method or CSS Selector at least
If you are sure that you always need the second span use this XPath:
*//div[#class='playbackTimeline__duration']/span[2]
If you need the first span that has actual text use this:
*//div[#class='playbackTimeline__duration']/span[normalize-space()][1]
If the #class has more than only playbackTimeline__duration in it you can use:
*//div[contains(#class,'playbackTimeline__duration')]/span[2]
If there are more div's like that use:
*//div[contains(#class,'playbackTimeline__duration')][1]/span[2]

Testcafe - Selecting checkbox using id always end up with the full timeout wait

Our html codes for checkbox always look something like this
<div id="paymentCheckBoxesMod" class="c-form__checkbox-container u-spacing__margin-bottom--16 u-spacing__margin-top--16">
<input type="checkbox" id="supplementaryAgreement" aria-describedby="paymentsCheckboxLabel">
<label for="supplementaryAgreement">
</label>
<div id="paymentsCheckboxLabel">
Jag godkänner Storytels <span id="purchasetermspopup">Köpvillkor</span> & <span id="privacypolicypopup">Integritetspolicy</span>
</div>
</div>
ive always located the element using the label's for="supplementaryAgreement" because if i use the input's id="supplementaryAgreement"i end up having to wait for the timeout duration before the element is located. Does anyone know why?
so that has worked fine until i have to work for iframes and although ive already switched back to mainframe however i will get the error that there is no match on the DOM tree if i use for="supplementaryAgreement" now. It still work with id="supplementaryAgreement" but having to wait for it to timeout doesn't seem efficient.
I think that the cause of this issue is in the complex markup of your checkbox. It seems that the checkbox is overlapped by the label::after element, so TestCafe cannot correctly find the checkbox. The other issue is that label[for=supplementaryAgreement] has height equal to 0.
Your idea with decreasing the timeout for the selector is a good workaround in this case. It does not work since there is a syntax mistake. Please try the following approach: Selector('#supplementaryAgreement', { timeout: 1000 })

bootstrap col-xs-* not working

Never had this issue before. Go to this website. As you can see, "sss" and "sssss" are put in two divs with class "col-xs-*". They should appear on same row, not sure why it's not working.
your "menuDiv" has float: left and that ruins the flow
either remove that, or add a float to the "mainDiv" as well
as You are using XS-Xtra small , column type it will display as column on XS-devices for general use Use
<div class="col-7">your content
</div>
<div class="col-5">your content
</div>

Adding ripple to mat-card without the card expanding on click/touch

Im trying to add a ripple effect to a card using angular material. The ripple effect works the way it supposed except that it expands the hight of the card when the effect is active.
How can I stop the card from expanding?
<mat-card mat-ripple>
<mat-card-content>This is content</mat-card-content>
</mat-card>
Stackblitz that demonstrates the behaviour
Add a class (i.e. last-child) to the last child of your mat-card (in your case mat-card-content) and define the following style:
.mat-card .last-child {
margin-bottom: 0;
}
The problem is that matRipple adds an zero-height element to the mat-card while Angular Material only removes the margin-bottom from the last child.
If you add the footer element (with or without content) you won't need additional CSS and this will lock the height when activating the ripple effect.
<mat-card mat-ripple>
<mat-card-content>This is content</mat-card-content>
<mat-card-footer></mat-card-footer>
</mat-card>
should be as easy as adding matRipple to the mat-card
<mat-card class="action-card" matRipple>
<mat-card-title>
{{content}}
</mat-card-title>
<mat-card-content>
desc
</mat-card-content>
</mat-card>
make sure you inject the MatRippleModule into your module.ts though, that threw me off for a while
Use a div -Tag inside of mat-card -Tag. This Fix my issue.

how to get text from text node without getting content of siblings

I have following code
<div>
<p>some paragraph</p>
some nasty text that I need
<span>something else</span>
</div>
Now I need to get some nasty text that I need only. How to do it using only XPath 1.0? Is it possible?
How to do it using only XPath 1.0? Is it possible?
Yes - and it's rather trivial:
/div/text()
I wonder why you did not try that? All other text nodes are either in a p or span element and should not cause you any trouble.
