Is it possible to do a search for apps by title via the API? For example, the equivalent of "Return a list of apps (if any) with the word 'dog' in the title".
I've seen two access points that come close, but don't seem to offer this:
The RSS feed; it lists apps, but apparently only groupings like, "top 100..."
The query interface; but it doesn't seem to query over the app media type. (?)
I found the answer. Although not explicitly documented, it's possible to search by app name.

You're right, it wasn't very clear on that iTunes page at all. The parameter entity=software is the key. For example, here's a search for my app, TypeLink:

For any future person who wants to link to the App Store keyword search result page directly from a web link - this format works as of April 2013:

Was a PITA to figure out but finally got the syntax right... Needed this because a client has apps made by multiple developers so I couldn't just use the suggested Appstore.com/DeveloperName link to return all their apps.

on my blog I’m using from a long time the IntenseDebate pluging as commenting system in place of the default one.
I would replace it with Google+ comment system but I don’t want to lose all comments already left by the users via IntenseDebate, so I would figure out if there’s any way to load on the old posts the IntenseDebate pluging in place of the default Google+.
As possible solution, I’m thinking something like a tag in the html post code that (if defined) load the IntenseDebate pluging.
What do you think?
its not posible to migrate IntenseDebate comment on google plus. Their is one solution that you can use multiple comment system in your blogger blog. just few month ago i had written trick for the same. I hope that this will be useful to you.

I am trying to include a community as a recipient by using the Plus API and the 'data-recipients' property.
When I add the community ID, it shows "unknown user".
If I click manually, that is click on the IFrame, it allows me to see and choose the community I want to share the post with.
Any help on how to do so will be much appreciated.

I don't believe that this is supported. Communities are not users and the API does not support treating them as users even though in some cases they function similarly.
I tried testing this myself and I got a name unavailable value in the share dialog and it posted, but the share never displayed in the community.
I'm trying to write a URL for Twitter's Search API.
The page says you can search for love or hate:

But I'm not seeing a way to do this.

is an example of a URL that searches for twitterapi. But how would I search for two terms? What's the operand for OR in this context?
Nevermind, it appears that %20OR%20 works in this context.
Graph API is not returning image("picture" attribute) for objects corresponding to community pages, which used to be returned earlier. For example this https://graph.facebook.com/178790412179919 does not have picture attribute whereas the corresponding page has an image.
Also the FQL query done on the "albums" connection for some objects does not have a "cover_pid" attribute for an album corresponding to type "profile", which again used to work earlier.
Does anybody know if anything has changed in Graph API corresponding to this in last couple of weeks (I am fairly confident it used to work earlier in the expected way). I looked through Facebook API release notes but could not find any changes corresponding to this. Please let me know if this not appropriate post for this forum.

Kinda goofy? Yes, but it works exactly as the docs say it does. I suspect they implemented it this way so it could easily be used in an <IMG> tag.

I can confirm that this PREVIOUSLY worked, but NO LONGER works. Facebook have removed the picture connection from Community Pages.
I suspect the reason is that most of these images are pulled from Wikipedia, and there was a licensing / attribution issue.
Unfortunately, Facebook is no longer a reliable source of images for entities (e.g. bands).
I'm writing an application that analyses search engine results.
With the Google Search API now being depreciated and limited to 1000 queries/day they are forcing developers to move to the AJAX APIs and to use the Custom Search API to do a Google search.
The thing is I don't need a Custom Search, I need a general search not one that is filtered by site; OK maybe filtered by USA/UK (Google.com/Google.co.uk).
Does anyone know how to just do a regular Google search using the AJAX APIs? Is the Custom Search the right thing to be using?
I don't want to hit the 1000/day limit using the old service but this is exactly what I need.

OK. Here's how I think it is done.
Create a Custom Search Engine.
Add a site such as *.com When this is created go to the Advanced tab
and download the context xml.
Remove the Background Label associated with the site.
Upload the XML to replace the previous context.
This seems to work just fine and is returning the same values as far as I can see.
Yes, you are right *in theory, and this should let you get 100 results a day on the fly. Just this Saturday though, Google confirmed how here -
