Tricky sql to select distinct user - sql

given the following data/tabel:
User|Value
A 1
A 1
B 3
B 1
A 1
A 3
A 3
B 1
B 1
A 1
B 1
B 1
A 3
A 3
B 1
Here I want to pick out those users who have alternated the Value column more than once.
Eg. Here B is not a problem as it changes only once, A on the other hand changes often and I want a sql select that returns A.
I have not found any examples on how to do this! :(

I think this should work:
SELECT DISTINCT u1.UserName

Query to find combinations of accounts sql

I am looking for how to form a query, where I seek to find that the ordering accounts are interacting with the same beneficiary accounts 3 or more times. As I describe below.
Examples:
Account A sends account 1,2,and 3.
Account B sends account 1,2 and 3.
Account C sends account 1,2 and 3.
This is the table called TBL_ACCOUNTS

You can create a collection data type:

Self-join the table on the beneficiary account. Thus you get all ordering account pairs as often as they share the share3 beneficiary accounts. This means you can group by these pairs then and count.
The following query lists all entries of all ordering accounts for which exists another ordering account sharing at least three beneficiary accounts.

I'm not sure I follow what you're asking, but it sounds like you simply need to include an ORDER BY clause.
At the end of your query just include
ORDER BY 'ordering account', 'beneficiary account'
The only thing that could change this is if you use different kinds of SQL that don't like single quotes. You may need to use [],"", or ``.

select only those users whose contacts length is not 5

I have table like this:

I only want users who have no contact or the contact length is not five.
If the user has two or more contacts and the length of one of them is five and the rest is not, then such users should not be included in the table.
so,If the customer has at least one contact length of five, I do not want that.
so, i want table like this:

You could actually do a range check here:
SELECT id, name, contact
FROM yourTable t1
WHERE NOT EXISTS (
SELECT 1
FROM yourTable t2
WHERE t2.id = t1.id AND TO_NUMBER(t2.contact) BETWEEN 10000 AND 99999
);
Note that if contact already be a numeric column, then just remove the calls to TO_NUMBER above and compare directly.

Union v/s Inner join on 3 conditions in SQL

Will the following 2 SQL statements give same result?
SQL1-
A inner join B on (condition1)

At least it depends on A or B originally having doubles. For example

You are trying to join each row in table 1 to two rows in table 2, and the conditions can never both be true.
You want to join each row in table 2 to two rows in table 1:

Cannot figure out logic to update a table

I have below table.
TABLE: ABCD
B column have value 1 whenever there is a change in A column. Now I have to update the table like below. How can I do that?
You can do this using a correlated subquery:
update t
set b = (select sum(t2.b) from t t2 where t2.A <= t.A);
This is standard SQL and should work in either Oracle or Teradata.
Lets have a slightly more complicated example (where the changes in B are not correlated to the changes in A):
