Hi
By default when we try use grouping in reports, in output we had collapsed all node in view but this isn't good.
So after searching I found this solution: "use Toggle Item". but when I set value for this property my report crashed and in result I had no filed value in view.
which one is the solution? toggle Item or other way?
(if toggle item is solution post sample as answer)
In reportbuilder 3.0 you have to edit the group properties and change the visibility option to “Show” when the report is first run.
I don’t know exactly where it is on reportbuilder 2.0 but I would imagine this will put you on the right track

I'm using Report Builder 3.0 and I have a report that links to another report when clicked on. When the new report opens the parameter options are collapsed by default. I'd like them to be expanded by default if possible but I haven't been able to find an option for it.
This issue is something I've struggled with previously. What I've done to resolve it is inject some javascript into the ReportViewer.aspx file which would "click" the bar if it detected it was collapsed by default.
In my version of RS, the element to click is called ReportViewerControl_ToggleParam, and you can tell if the bar is hidden by looking at the display value of ParametersRowReportViewerControl.
Let me know if you need more details.
Is there a way to hide a field in TFS2015? We just needed to hide an unused field since it doesn't server us purpose anymore but we don't want to delete it.
If you just mean you don't want to see the filed in your workitem.
You could delete the control in layout page (Need TFS Power Tools installed).
After this your teams won't be able to see the field in work item page any more.
However this filed still could be used/filtered in work item query. If the hide in your question means this. Unfortunately, no this function for now. You may have to delete the filed instead.
I am developing a windows application and am using crystal reports in it.
I am trying to add the parameter field in it, however, when I click on the OK button, it is just not working.
Am I missing anything out?
I have Uninstalled and Installed Crystal Reports, its working fine now...
There could be 2 possiblities.
1) Just checked on my PC, just be Right Clicking Parameters -> Add -> Leaving everything as is (defaults) I am able to create a parameter. You must have changed some setting inside. Use defaults to confirm that you are able to create one.
2) You are missing the Value Field. This field specifies CR which database field to work upon when the parameter is used.
The drop-down will list all the database fields available for use.
Besides, here are few tutorials that explain how to use parameters that might guide you.

I want the output to show to the right of the code, not bellow it. I can change the view to two columns but I can't change the position of the output panel. For example:
Is it possible to change the position of the output panel to be to the right of the code, not below it?
There is a solution, which exists for years already, but does not seem to be widely used. It's the package buildview: it puts the build output in any other view, i.e. acts as a normal tab.

(perfectly works with sublime 3)
It seems this feature has been requested: http://sublimetext.userecho.com/topic/23694-ability-to-show-console-output-side-by-side-with-code/. So the answer would be no, there's no way to currently do this, and there doesn't seem to be mention of it in the changelog thus far for SublimeText3.
In the RDLC report, in Design view in Visual Studio 2008, we don't see anything in the Website Data Sources tab and the button to Add New Data Source is grayed out. Only the Refresh button is enabled, and clicking it doesn't do anything. Our business logic layer returns Lists of business objects and the business logic and business object projects are both referenced by the MVC project. This is an MVC app, so there is no App_Code folder.
How do we get our business objects to appear in the Website Data Sources list so we can drag and drop fields from the object onto our RDLC report?
I think I suffered the same problem as this.
I solved this by closing all open VS windows, cleaning, rebuilding the solution then adding a new WebForms page (yes I know its MVC) but it then seemed to trigger a refresh in something and the data sources showed up when we reopened and editted the rdlc file.
I have also been frustrated by this, using VB.NET, but this should fix it:
In addition to the reference to:
Microsoft.ReportViewer.Winforms or
Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms
You need to also add a reference to:
Microsoft.ReportViewer.Common
The Data Sources panel is still blank, but when you select Add Dataset, you'll see the correct options.
Try this...
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/yft2c9ad.aspx
On the menu bar, choose View, Other Windows, Data Sources (or choose the Shift+Alt+D
I had the same problem in Visual Studio 2008. The solution I accidently found was to do the following:
1 - Launch VS 2008
2 - Open Solution
3 - Open report file (rdlc) and make sure "Website Data Sources" pane is showing
4 - Close VS 2008 (with the rdlc "having focus"
5 - Launch VS 2008
6 - Open Solution
You should now see the data in the Website Data Sources pane
One of the problems I had was that my DataSource class didn't have a parameterless constructor...after the parameterless constructor was added "the class" showed up in the DataSource list.
Small detail, but lost some time to figure it out. :)
