Magento - Get variable from grid to admin controller - variables

My question is about,
how to get a variable from a Magemto grid to My admin controller page.
(ie Exactly to my public function massStatusAction())
Thanks.

You can get those ID like this
$productIds = (array)$this->getRequest()->getParam('product');
Where product is set as Mass Action field in the Grid's protected function _prepareMassaction() like this.
$this->setMassactionIdField('entity_id')
Hope this helps!

Creating module on prestashop

i need to create a module on prestashop on product page , im new in prestashop idk how to do that .
This module should be on bottom of page ,it contains product technical description
Can someone tell me how to do that
Ps : i know nothing about prestashop Hooks ....
Thanks in advance!
There is one hook that may fit you.
displayProductFooter
First you have to add the hook registration in your module install function
public function install()
{
...
$this->registerHook('displayProductFooter');
}
Then create a function to display the content in the hook
Save the content you want to display and use the return to send a string with all the HTML you want to print in the product footer.
In the params you will also find some useful variables like the product ID.
public function hookDisplayProductFooter($params)
{
// Your content here
return $output;
}
The same procedure should work with any other hook (as long as it's a display hook)

Make Text Field item as Read Only in APEX 5.0

I have some text field page items on my APEX 5.0 page and I want to make the textboxes as read only/non-editable. During the page load I want to use these text boxes for only the data display on the page and should be non-editable.
Can somebody advice on how to do that? What attributes need to set for this?
This answer is a bit late to the party, but I found myself confronted to this problem and I wanted to share the solution I came up with.
In fact you just need to create your item as a text area, let say P1_Text_Area and you give it a readonly attribute using JavaScript. Write thoses 2 lines in the "Function and Global Variable Declaration" of your page:
var disItem = document.getElementById('P1_Text_Area');
disItem.readOnly = true;
Hope this helps someone in need.
in item properties find the
Read Only group
and set Read Only Condition Type as Always
or the option that suits to you
You can use disabled + save session state ==> read only

MVC 4 Partial view with different model called with AJAX

I'm trying to solve a problem. I am new to MVC and trying to understand how the models work. I get the main page and main model stuff and that if you want to show a partial view the data you show must be part of the main model. This makes the main model pretty large and doesn't that require me to submit the entire model to get the partial view? In any case, let's say I have a list of things and one column is a link. This link calls an AJAX method to get more data and display in a jQuery dialog - my goal. So I would have a call like this:
function showDetails(id) {
$("#divShowDetails").load('#(Url.Action("GetDetails", "Home", null, Request.Url.Scheme))?Id= ' + id);
}
My view is like "_DetailsView.cshtml", defined as a partial view. Does this page need to define the model in the main page or can it be a different model or no model at all? Can I return a ViewData from the controller method, pop open the dialog and fill it with data?
Should the controller method return a PartialViewResult or just an ActionResult? Let's say the details view are details of a part number or something and I want to show a bunch of data elements for the part. Does this have to me a model? I am confused and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys. Do you still use the common:
[HttpGet]
public PartialViewResult SelectedItem (string itemId)
{
// gather data for the item
return PartialView(itemModel);
}
And you are saying that the itemModel does not have to be part of the item list model?

MVC4: dynamically change route value from dropdown list selection

I have a dropdown list that serves as a record navigation control -- selecting a value from the dropdown is supposed to "jump to" that record. I feel like I've done stuff like this before that worked, but I can't get this one to work. The issue seems to be that I can't get the dropdown list to change the ID route value that the page was initially called with. So let's say my page is called from this URL:
/PatientProfile/Services/12
12 is the ID route value here--this is essentially the initial record displayed. This works. However, when I select something from my dropdown, it will redirect to something like this:
/PatientProfile/Services/12?ID=7
Notice how the 12 is still there in the route value ID. ID 7 was selected from the dropdown, but it's appended to the URL as a new parameter instead of the route value. What I want to happen is this:
/PatientProfile/Services/7
Here's what the razor looks like for my dropdown:
#using (Html.BeginForm("Services", "PatientProfile", FormMethod.Get))
{
#Html.Label("ID", "View Profile:")
#Html.DropDownListFor(model => model.CurrentProfile.ID, ViewBag.ProfileID as SelectList, new { onchange = "this.form.submit();" })
}
I tried both Html.DropDownList and Html.DropDownListFor, but saw no difference in behavior.
Any help greatly appreciated.
I would use jquery for this. Please confirm the generated id of the dropdownlist for this to work properly
$('#CurrentProfile_ID').change(function(){
window.location('#Url.Action("Services", "PatientProfile", new { id = "----" })'.replace("----", $('#CurrentProfile_ID :selected').val()));
});
Hopefully this helps.
PS. This sounds like a perfect situation for using a partial view that you update using an ajax call so you don't have to post back.

How to access values from dynaaction form in jsp

I can set the attributes in the servlet and I can get those values in jsp by accessing the get attribute.
do we have anything to access values in jsp like that.
For Example:
DynaActionForm home = (DynaActionForm) form;
String age = (String)home.get("age");
I want to access this age in jsp.
Please help me solve this.
Thanks
If your struts-config.xml file is configured correctly, all you need to do is use the bean:write tag.
You can add the map of your formbean in the request scope like that:
Map m = dynaform.getMap();
request.setAttribute("mapForm", m);
And then access propertys into your jsp with:
${mapForm['nameOfYourFormProperty'] }
This is using JSTL. Otherwise you can use that:
<%= ((Map)request.getAttribute("mapForm")).get("nameOfYourFormProperty") %>
Are you asking if you can access DynaActionForm values directly within the Struts View (jsp) component?
You could try setting the DynaActionForm as a request attribute in your Struts Action:
DynaActionForm myForm = (DynaActionForm) form;
request.setAttribute("myForm", myForm);
Then in your JSP page import DynaActionForm and do something like:
DynaActionForm myForm = (DynaActionForm) request.getAttribute("myForm");
String age = (String) myForm.get("var");
But it would be much better to just access the value you needed within the Struts Action and just set that value onto the request or session.
