When I try official WebShare Api level 2 file sharing demos on my Android mobile instead of original file name as attached file in Gmail I have random file name: share7267109384739205738.jpg.
There are 19 random numbers after "share"and they changes every time I repeat the process.
First I think I did wrong my code (in my project) but on Google and WPT sites with official examples occured the same.
Obviosly it´s a bug because I repeated the error on various andoroid mobiles
(version 11 etc.)
Please if any of you has android mobile try these links, they are all official, and tell me if it is true.
On Apple mobiles there is NO problem, the attached file name is correct (in my code too), only android.
Here are links to check it
1.WPT official site example
2. Chromestatus.com example
3. GitHub example
I am confused because I saw this bug on all android mobiles I tried ( 6 different phones, Samsung, Xiaomi etc.) which makes this API useless for billions of users and still nobody neither reacted nor solved it.
Thanks in advance

I am trying to update an app that was rejected for a Crash. I am using Xcode 6 GM release. I have 2 problems:

1) solved no longer need to set "ready to upload binary" per comments below
2) When I submit the build I receive this error: No software found with apple_id at SoftwareAssets
Thanks for the assistance.
If you're part of multiple teams, and you need to upload an app to iTunes Connect that's using another Apple ID than your own, you will have to add the Apple ID of the concerning iTunes Connect Account to Xcode.
Go to Preferences in Xcode
Go to Accounts
Add account by clicking the + sign
Add Apple ID of the iTunes Connect account you're trying to upload to
When you now upload your binary, you have to choose the team and Apple ID.
You may see the same team twice in the dropdown, but you will see that they relate to different Apple IDs.
Make sure to choose the team that is related to the iTunes Connect Apple ID and your upload will go through.
I don't know if it's the new intended behaviour or just a bug. But for me uploading only worked when i was registered as a apple developer AND itunesconnect User with the same AppleId.
This Answer XCode6 GoldMaster submitting build failed with error of Chris helped me, but unfortunately didn't do the whole trick.
I'm a member of different Developer Teams with my single AppleId. Uploading apps only worked for me to the team where i was registered in itunesconnect with the same appleId (Unfortunately you can be a member of different developer teams, but only be a single itunesconnect user with one apple id). Adding the different itunesconnect accounts as described in the linked answer didn't work for me.
So i created a new apple id and added it as a developer and as an itunesconnect user, then everything worked smoothly.
For people who can't have their iTunes Connect and Apple Developer emails match (member of multiple programs, etc) the solution is to click "Export" in Xcode instead of "Submit" which will generate a signed ipa file, then use Application Loader (link is available in iTunes Connect) to log in with your iTC ID and you can upload it there. Hopefully Apple will fix this issue soon where we can link our iTunes and Developer accounts/emails together, but until then this will have to do.
Bocaxica is correct. I also face same issue while I tried submitting my app. After I selected again my different apple account which had same iTunes id for two accounts, everything went well and app submitted successfully. 👍👍
I just developed my first app for windows phone and put it into the windows phone app store. Everything worked fine, I got the message the app was accepted, so I started looking for it in the app store. Many searches later I still couldn't find it.
The other strange part was, that I can't even find it with the direct link which I get under "Link zum Store" (German, stands for: link to store) When I click the link, I 404 page.
Any reason why this is the case, I made the app available in all countries, regions and windows phones 8.1 . The link to the app is: http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=f383f584-a864-4f07-a4bc-5c709f750865
Depending on when the app got published, it might take some time for it to propagate and become available through direct links or search.
For example, I can already see your app through direct link, I can also see it in Windows Phone Store through that link and install it.
it takes a couple of days... MS makes it seem like it will be instantaneous...
My first app took 3 days to "show up"... hurry up and wait :-)
I've finished writing my first Sencha app and released it in Android market place. This is basically for a conference being held in Metro Detroit Area next week. I'm also introducing Sencha in my company as a viable mobile option.
However once released into the market, it does not seem to load on certain devices. How to find out what is wrong on the device? It works great on desk top and also on certain android phones and nexus pad but does not load ( the user keeps seeing the loading page for ever) in certain other phones. I would like to know how to debug this issue? Does Sencha log the console log exceptions in logcat? Any help in this direction is highly
appreciated!
I'm using Internet permissions to access twitter feed and google maps. Kind of guessing that the issue could be because of accessing Internet but how to find that out?
Thanks
From experience, this is generally due to javascript errors before sencha has been properly set up. This can be missing functionality or include issues, picky parsers etc. There is no real good way to debug this more than to get ahold of an affected device and set window.error = alert before any other javascript is run.
I've updated my iPhone app to support the iPhone 5 screen..
I've done this before for another app and I was forced to upload new screenshots taken with the iPhone 5.
This time however, iTunes Connect just displays the status as "waiting for review" and isn't mentioning anything about the screenshots..
I'm slightly worried something has gone wrong? App works great on iPhone 5 and simulator though.
It turns out Apple can block apps during the review process that have something wrong with metadata. If they decide your metadata is wrong they'll just change your app's status to "Metadata Rejected".
Here's the quote from the rules for this status:
Appears when specific metadata items aside from your binary have not
passed review. To resolve the issue, edit the metadata in iTunes
Connect and your existing binary is then reused for the review
process. You receive a communication from App Review in the Resolution
Center regarding the reason for the metadata rejection.
When things change to the AppStore (Apple adds a device) they might require you to get new screenshots. But if nothing changed in their system, it's normal that they don't ask.
Don't worry!
They copy over the screenshots from your last version of the app (or is your Retina4 screenshot section in itunesconnect empty?). So if you don´t want to update them, it should be okay like this.
Chances are your app has not hit review (and now as of the 21st) and won't be reviewed until after the 29th. Once your app hits review, it will become rejected for the missing screenshots. If you want to save yourself some time and pain, update the screenshots while Apple is on their downtime for the Christmas holiday. You'll thank yourself later.
My app got accepted yesterday, no word about the screenshots.
App works fine on iPhone 5, mailed Apple to complain this probably is a bug (iTUnes Connect does not recognize localized Default.png, which is what is checked to verify it is iPhone 5 optimized I believe.)
Is going through the Windows Shop within Windows 8 the only way to know about the apps that are currently available (and if an app idea is already taken)? I've seen Windows 8 app links like this one -
http://apps.microsoft.com/webpdp/en-in/app/bigflix/cd3aa73b-e60e-44b6-bbe9-6898050a3502
...but going to the root site throws a "403 - Forbidden: Access is denied" and a search for "Windows 8 Store" doesn't provide any useful results. I guess there will be something after the official Windows 8 launch but is there anything else I'm missing? As a developer, I would love to see a summary listing of apps that shows a brief description, its features and Capabilities used.
Unfortunately for us, Microsoft is not providing any such information regarding the Store apps. All we can do is glean a bit from here and there. Zdnet has mentioned the number of apps, for example.
Have a look here and here
This link in particular maybe of some use because it provides estimated app category breakdown.
I created site http://metrostorescanner.com/ to see what's new in apps for all countries (but you can also use country filter).
I found a file with a site map that you may be able to use for a listing of apps:
http://apps.microsoft.com/webpdp/sitemap/sitemap_1.xml
http://www.greatwindowsapps.com is a searchable directory on the web. It's not the entire Store, the content is filtered to remove poor quality apps. Disclosure: this is my site, so clearly I think that's an advantage :)
http://drunktester.azurewebsites.net/ is the full Store using the Australian content. He published the source code (https://github.com/VikingCode/DrunkStore) so you could set this up for any country if you wished.
Update - It is now possible to search for Windows Store & Windows Phone apps even from non-Windows 8 machines and also view apps by category from the official Microsoft websites.
As #mamata-dalal & #gyurisc have mentioned, there is currently no official Windows 8 app directory.
I came across the website Windows8Apps (though not perfect) that comes close to what I'm looking for.
Currently there is no other place than the Windows 8 Store is the only place, but I am sure soon there will be plenty of sites categorizing these apps.
