After the last update to IntelliJ 2020.2 i get the Error:
Plugin "Lombok" is incompatible (until build 201.SNAPSHOT < IC-202.6397.94).
I've searched for the problem, but it seems that i'm the only one who has the problem with this IntelliJ version.
The solution for me was:
Uninstall Lombok Plugin
Invalidate Caches & Restart
Install Lombok plugin 0.30 EAP
Invalidate Caches & Restart
Additional issues mentioned here.
I made an update this morning. Everything works. Intellj indicates that it is not compatible, but treats it correctly when updating. The validation of Intellj is incorrect because Lombok delivers the compatibility in the same version.
See: https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/6317-lombok
A new version of lombok was released here:
Lombok
Just download the .jar file and install the plugin from disk.
It seems that IntelliJ is not installing automatically new version of lombok plugin.
Let's uninstall -> restart IDE -> Install Lombok plugin. (now you will have new version installed)
I had the same problem for 3 plugins, I solved by:
File -> Invalidated caches / restart
The plugin is incompatible with the new version of IntelliJ.
Before validating update to version 2020.2 IntelliJ displays a message of incompatibles plugins and Lombok is one of them:
You have the option to go back to IntelliJ version 2020.1 and wait for an update of Lombok
Just take the last Intellij 2020.2 RC build (which fix this bug) on : https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/IDEADEV/IDEA+2020.2+latest+builds
And be careful to also install last lombok intellij plugin (0.30.1).
This issue is detailed on https://github.com/mplushnikov/lombok-intellij-plugin/issues/649 and is not entirelly the fault of the plugin (that's why intellij RC must be also installed)
Obviously this solution should be preferred while waiting for a final Intellij 2020.2.1 version.
More detailled information on https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-248146 (minimum build version for fix is IntelliJ IDEA 2020.2.1 RC Build #IC-202.6948.36, built on August 18, 2020)
A new version of the Lombok plugin is bundled with newer versions of IntelliJ. If you have an older version of the plugin already installed and you upgrade IntelliJ, IntelliJ may get stuck in a state that requires manually uninstalling the older plugin.
It appears this is because the older Lombok plugin is incompatible with the newer version of IntelliJ, and the newer plugin is bundled, so it can neither be uninstalled nor upgraded. However, they are not properly treated as two separate plugins, resulting in a plugin incompatible with the installed version of IntelliJ, can't be upgraded, and can't be uninstalled.
To get rid of this conflict:
stop IntelliJ
delete the plugin directory from the file system; If you have Jetbrains Toolbox, go to IntelliJ IDEA settings, and copy the install location. Remove the Lombok plugin directory rm -rf lombok-plugin
start IntelliJ
feel free to enable the Lombok plugin, and this would be the bundled one now.
Installed latest version(2020.3) of intellij and issue resolved for me.
I basically had to reinstall it twice. This is what I did to resolve the issue:
Uninstall the plugin
Invalidate caches and restart
Install the plugin (issue remained)
Uninstalled the plugin a second time
Restart (no invalidate cache this time)
Install plugin again (issue resolved)
I think someone else mentioned that the plugin does not get installed correctly the first time.
I got the error that states "Unsupported class file major version 57" while trying to build LibGdx project, along with few other notifications. Same happens when trying to build using IntelliJ idea.
I have no idea how to fix that.
"Unsupported class file major version 57" means your version of Java is incompatible with the one with which Gradle was compiled. You have to make sure that the Java version you are using is compatible to the Gradle version you are using. I guess you have either to downgrade your Java version or upgrade the Gradle version.
Iv'e started to learn and use sbt, so far I didn't start project directly from IntelliJ, what I did was pulling some seed project and using IntelliJ with Scala Plugin as IDE.
As long as I kept pulling seed projects and editing them everything was just fine, but when I tried to generate sbt project directly from IntelliJ I followed simple instructions and faced this error
Error while importing SBT project: Error during sbt execution: No
Scala version specified or detected Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM
warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=384M; support was removed in 8.0
The auto generated build.properties :
sbt.version = 1.0.3
The auto generated build.sbt :
name := "MyProject"
version := "0.1"
scalaVersion := "2.12.4"
And i'm getting "Cannot resolve symbol" on every property at build.sbt file..
Things Iv'e tried to solve this problem:
Uninstalling and reinstalling IntelliJ, IntelliJ Scala Plugin, sbt and scala
Adding scala under Framework Support
Trying to add scala to Facets at Project Structure (I didn't even have a scala option)
Double checking that scala SDK is configured at Global Libraries at Project Structure with the correct version
My currently environment consist of:
Windows 10
IntelliJ IDEA CE 2017.2.6
IntelliJ Scala Plugin 2017.2.13
Java 8 151
sbt 1.0.3
scala 2.12.4
Thanks!
In order to solve this I :
Completely uninstalled intellij, with all it's configuration
Upgraded to intellij 2017.3 CE
In intellij idea 16 EAP 144.3357.4 I have a pure Kotlin cmd project currently refusing to run with this error:
The binary version of its metadata is 1.0.1, expected version is 1.1.0
The project runs on the command-line - I invalidated caches and restarted Idea - nothing helped. Anyone had the same problem and found a way to get it working?
The problem seems to be mismatch between the kotlin library used in your project and the version of the plugin are not compatible.
Check the Kotlin plugin version and you'll most likely see something similar to:
Version: 1.0.0-rc-1007-IJ143-11
Then check the version of the Kotlin libraries by looking into META-INF/build.txt or META-INF/MANIFEST.MF and it'll most likely be other version like 1.0.0-beta-4589.
To resolve the problem update Kotlin libraries to version 1.0.0-rc-1007 which can be found in this maven repository: https://dl.bintray.com/kotlin/kotlin-eap.
Kotlin compiler marks each .class with #kotlin.Metadata to indicate, among others:
The version of the bytecode interface (naming conventions, signatures) of the class file annotated with this annotation.
That is how the compiler detected incompatibilities.
I try compile erl files in Intellij with Erlang plugin. Everything is good with compilation but in out/production the folder does not create any files .beam and when I run console I get message:
exception error: undefined function.
When I use c("file"). everything is all right. Why does Intellij not create .beam files?
Try to fix it by going to Preferences -> Build, Execution, Deployment -> Erlang Compiler and check "Compile project with rebar".
Also, verify that rebar is installed and configured in IntelliJ by going to Preferences -> Other Settings -> Erlang External Tools and specifying the path to the rebar installation.
I was having the same issue ..
The problem is very strange erlang plugin doesn't compile and copy the files to out directories meanwhile if you compiled from terminal or command prompt (windows) it is working fine. this issue arose after installing IntelliJ Idea v 15.
What I have done here to fix the issue:
Uninstall Intellij Idea v 15
Downgrade IntelliJ Idead to version 14.1.4
Install Intellij Idea again (v. 0.5.11)
Configure SDK to reference src of erlang language.
Create a new test project and start making the project again .. it should work fine...
Hope this helps you
