Is there a way to keep quick documentation always on in Intellij? - intellij-idea

Is there a way to keep the quick documentation always on or pinned to tip's window in Intellij rather than pressing F1 everytime?
I see this.
But would like to see this without pressing F1.

Configure it to Open as a Tool Window:
and have it always opened on the side:

How to correct the code formatting settings in eclipse?

I am actively using code formatting in eclipse (right click->source->format), after that a window would pop up asking me to format the whole file or the highlighted fragment. At some point, I accidentally clicked "remember the selection" and that window never came up again.
To clarify, this is CubeIDE, based on eclipse, C/C++.
Where can I fix the settings to make this window appear again?
Found it. This is where the setting is:

Intellij Idea: what is shortcut for main window

Imaging the situation when you writing some code and then you wish to continue your work in the terminal. Alt + F12 and you are in the terminal. After 1 sec you wish to continue to work under your code. So you need some shortcut that allows you return back to the code window (I would like to avoid using the mouse). What should I press for this case?
Terminal has an option to override IDE shortcuts which is enabled by default, this is done so that you can use common shortcuts in the terminal applications.
If you disable this option, you can use Esc to get the focus back to the editor, otherwise it will be intercepted and can be used in the apps running in the terminal tool window.
Shift+Esc will hide the Terminal tool window and move the focus back to the editor no matter if the option mentioned above is enabled or not.
For all the other cases Esc will work fine as mentioned in my other answer.

Atom: Imitate 'Shift-Enter' keybinding of IntelliJ

In IntelliJ IDEA, one of the more helpful commands I've found is 'Shift-Enter' - it effectively moves the cursor to the end of the line, and starts a new line, thus not affecting the text on the current line.
I'd like to re-create this in Atom, but I can't seem to figure out how one would go about doing so. It doesn't look like you can have multiple editor actions for a given key combination, and I'm not sure if I simply can't find the esoteric editor command I'm looking for.
How can I recreate the behavior of shift-enter in IntelliJ for Atom?
As it so happens, I stumbled across the shortcut: You can use cmd-enter to do the same action. I'm not sure what the underlying command is, but I hope this is helpful to other people!
You can recreate this behaviour by adding this to your keymap:
'atom-workspace atom-text-editor:not([mini])':
'shift-enter': 'editor:newline-below'
Detailed answer;
Freshly open atom editor
Open Keymap option
Copy this and paste this;
'atom-workspace atom-text-editor:not([mini])':
'shift-enter': 'editor:newline-below'
Click save and close the file
Press Shift and enter, Now you'll be able to form a new line below the line you currently in are regardless of the place you are typing in.

IntelliJ-IDEA Eclipse Ctrl+O equivalent that is better than Alt+7

In Eclipse I could hit Ctrl+O and get a popup which I could use to get an overview of everything in the current class, pick an entry, and jump to it.
In idea, there is Alt+7, but I have a few issues with it. First, the keyboard doesn't seem to put its focus there. I have to take my hand off the keyboard and use the mouse to place the focus on the Structure dock.
I also don't like how it's taking up real estate. I don't want to change how things are laid out if I want to see the structure. I would like a more non-invasive popup, and handier and snappier.
Is there another feature that gives me quick access in the form of a popup preferably, like Ctrl+O provides in Eclipse?
Another nice feature would be to be able to use the J and K keys to move up and down the selection, instead of having to use the cursor keys. I'm using IdeaVim, so the normal workflow when editing files, is that both hands stay in a touch-type position. It would be nice if I can use the various navigation features also using vim keys...
Perhaps there is a way to enable this, that I haven't discovered yet?
IntelliJ equivalent of Eclipse's CTRL+O is CTRL+F12 (⌘+F12 on Mac), which will give you more or less the same pop-up as in Eclipse. But I'm not sure if it can be navigated using j and k keys.
More details can be found in the IntelliJ help.

IntelliJ IDE (IDEA, PhpStorm, WebStorm): Shortcut for focusing Filter field in e.g. Change Log tool window

Is there a shortcut for focusing the Filter box in tool windows, specifically the Change Log?
See the attached screenshot to know which field I'm talking about. I searched the net and key map, but found nothing like that.
I have confirmed at Jetbrains that unfortunately it's not possible yet: http://devnet.jetbrains.com/message/5520523#5520523
Just start typing with the focus inside the tool window. IDEA invokes the search automatically. To select the item, press Enter. To cancel, press Esc.
This feature is called Tool Window Speed Search.
