NSButton not showing image nor text at runtime - objective-c

I have a Mac app developed 6 years ago. Today, I opened the source code (in XCode 11.1, macOS Catalina 10.15.3) and run the app. The Play button is not showing the Play image as before.
Here are its properties.
Can someone please tell me what's wrong?

WinObjC orientation issue

I'm trying to convert an iOS project to Windows 10, it compiles and links successfully, the binary starts, but the app is not well oriented: my app is in landscape on iPad, but on Windows 10 all the UI is rotated by 90°...
I've no idea on how to fix that.

OSX App opens on some machines, not others

I have written an OSX 10.9+ app which works fine on all my test machines but two people with laptops have so far said the app opens (shows light under icon) but shows no window but will show the menu for the app with no drop down, it can highlight but does nothing else.
I can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening. I have checked Initial Controller is set in the storyboard. The plist looks ok. No complaints in console. Works on an old iMac from 2007, a Mac Pro 6 core and a New Retina iMac all with Yosemite.
Both cases where it doesn't open are on OSX 10.9.5
This is the screenshot of how it should look when opened:
The app is currently available for free, if anybody can shed some light on it I would be much appreciated.

Storyboards are not compatible with OS X prior to v10.10:

Available in OS X v10.10 and later.
I experienced the same thing with a project; only nib/xibs work for OS X < v10.10.

Xcode 6.1 - Map View appears blank in iOS7 simulator or iPhone 4

Since I last updated to Xcode 6.1 and Yosemite, the map views in my app started to appear blank either in ios7.1 simulator or my iPhone4 (iOS7.1).
I could replicate the situation by creating a brand new single view application with just a MKMapView and although it appears correctly in iOS8 simulators, in the iOS7.1 simulators or my iPhone4 it shows only a blank screen. The iOS Deployment Target is set to iOS 7.1.
I tested this simple app in a friend's Mac with Mavericks but the same situation occurs.
Is this some bug of Xcode 6.1 or SDK, or do I have to add something to run maps on iOS7?
I faced the same problem. To fix it, you have to disable Size Classes. Go to Storyboard and in the right sidebar, you should see a check box saying 'Use Size Classes' under 'Interface builder document'. Untick it and you should see the map again.
Read this to find out why this happens:

Having issue with Xcode 6 install

I downloaded Xcode 6 but got an icon with a Stop sign. After copying it to Applications, it remains the same and won't react to click. Any idea what I am missing? I am running OSX 10.9.3.

Where can I find an iPhone simulator for Xcode 3.1.4

My kids want to learn to write apps on their MacBook which currently runs OS version 10.5.8.
I have downloaded Xcode 3.1.4 but it doesn't seem to have the iPhone Simulator.
Does anyone know where I can find this?
(And are their better tags I should use for this question?)
Thanks.
(UPDATE: I down loaded the " xcode 3.2.6 & ios sdk 4.3" dmg file from Apple in the hopes of accessing just the "iPhone simulator" but repeated attempts to open the .dmg file on my OS10.5.8 Macbook result in a complete, "blackscreen" crash.)
I am really very sorry because this is not straight to your question. But if I were you, I'd like to encourage them to start with Android. To me, an open-platform is more preferred. Beside that, Java is a strong/ dynamic language when comparing to C/C++.

Are you sure the simulator was not included? One thing to remember is it won't be shown with xcode in your applications folder.
To use the simulator you have to launch it from xcode by pressing the play button in the top left corner of the interface. If you have already used xcode with an iPhone/iPod/iPad make sure you select simulator from the drop down next the play and stop buttons(press and hold to change what is selected).
If you want to make sure you can access the simulator without xcode, launch the simulator as described above and then right click(or ctrl click) the icon for the simulator and select keep in dock from the options menu.
Hopefully the above helps you with your problem. If xcode truly did not come with the simulator your best option is to uninstall xcode(after backing up any projects) and trying a fresh install. Also try checking Apples dev center (https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action) for information about xcode and the simulator.
