Blue Prism - Save and Read Pdf - pdf

I am trying to save a pdf which opens via Web link and after saving want to read all texts present in the PDF file.
I have tried to save it by sending "send keys" (CTRL+SHIFT+S) as used in BP but was not able to save it.
Also, for reading the data present in PDF(any other pdf) tried with sending key strokes CTRL+A and CTRL+C but was not successful.

Theoretically, (if you haven't done this already) you could create an object + model that attaches to the open (running).pdf instance, then with the spied element of save button/option in your .pdf, proceed from there with further elements/clicks to save it wherever you want. This should be a few clicks using Navigate stages. Same principle if you are using sendkeys; you still need to use the root element on the model that attaches/launches the .pdf. If you haven't done this, the sendkeys are just never going to work. As to capturing the contents, I am not aware of any downloadable VBOs that will do this, I know there are some from MS Word to capture stuff in tables, etc... into a Collection stage, but not for .pdf. You can try the sendkeys again once you are sure you are using the root element of the correct model, or you might have a go at creating your own solution using a code stage.

Simulate drag & drop file to website in VBA

I have an Access database that uses VBA code to generate a GPX map file. That works fine. I then want the contents of the GPX file to be displayed on a website, https://mapy.cz
The method that the site authors intend is for users to open the site, then manually drag and drop GPX files onto the site, at which point the contents are read in and displayed by the website. This also works fine.
What I want to do is NOT require my database user to open a browser, locate the file and drag it onto the browser by hand. I want my VBA code to not only create this GPX file, but also open the user's default browser, direct it to this mapping site (all this also works okay), but then SIMULATE or FORCE the drag and drop action FROM MY VBA CODE. That is the part that on which I'm floundering. I've looked up things like using VBA's IE.Document object, and it seems to me that it should be in there somewhere, but I can't find anything that makes sense to me.
I've done similar things in the past, with SendKeys to simulate the user typing, and AutoIT to code-control a running DOS application, including reading the programs responses from the DOS screen and forcing in commands, all from VBA. It seems to me that this should be possible, and not even all that uncommon a requirement, but I've not located anything helpful in all my searching, and I've done a lot. Maybe I'm simply phrasing my searches wrong, but at this point, I'm just flat stuck.

Creating a Record Option on a PDF or Word Document

I am going to preface this with the question on a more general scale then go on to explain my specific issue.
Is there a way to create a word document, pdf, or anything comparable that I could add a "Record Audio" button to that would save the audio with the file as well as all the other info that might on a pdf/word form?
I know that Adobe Pro has a leave audio comment option, but I am creating this for a user and I do not want them to have to use that. The reason I need this is that I currently have a form usually gets partially filled out and then passed on with a dictation that needs to be transcribed at a later time. I am aiming to do this so that I can have the form and audio file linked and saved under one file.
If there is a way to leave the audio comment on a pdf with some javascript that is triggered by a button, I am perfectly okay with that I just have no clue how to program that (in terms of syntax, I am comfortable programming that isn't the problem lol).
I am also open to forms of documents other than pdf or word. I only mentioned these as they are the industry standard, but if there is another file type that would work around this, I am more than glad to use it!
I am using word 2013 by the way.
Thanks in advance!
You could write a TaskPane Addin that shows the audio controls. Once the recording is complete, the audio could be saved in the CustomXML parts in the document.
Then other users who receive the document and have your AddIn, will be able to listen to the recording.
I have not verified it in-depth, but it would be possible to add a button to the PDF file which creates a Sound annotation. The user should be then automatically asked (via a dialog) to record it.

Print preview of my web page to pdf and save it on server side programmatically

I have a deceitfully difficult problem which I had thought it was easy one at the beginning and yet I have spent more than 3 days on and off in total.
what I simply need to do is to save the print preview of the page to PDF file on server side from code behind initiating by a button click.
I was expecting using an open source and then I thought there would be a code like xyzopencode.savepasgeaspdf(path) but I could not find it. I got really close to solution by saving the PDF but then I realized it did not save the picture it only saved the strings.
I tried the pdfsharp but as long as I see it draws the whole thing from scratch and I am nor sure if I can do it.
The reason I need picture compatible one is I have 3rd party signature controller on my page and my couple of attempts worked without them or any picture but when I added pictures they failed to show to picture or did not create the PDF at all. The perfect solution would be just saving what ever shows up in the print preview as PDF, just like the built in feature of Google chrome (but on server side).

Saving the modified contents of a pdf

I've got a form that I downloaded, I'd like to prefill some content on the form (this is easy using cfpdfform).
Where it gets tricky is I would like to allow the user to modify the contents of that form, and then somehow have those modified contents accessible to me. I didnt build the source PDF so I dont know how to allow the user to "save" the new contents so they can be read.
Any ideas on where I might start on this one?
You can also use the cfpdfform tag to read/write data to a PDF file which has a form. The important thing is that the PDF document already have the form fields available, or that you add them.
I just recently completed a task where I had to have a user fill out a normal web form, and then create a filled version of an existing PDF document. It worked like a breeze!
I think that depending on what you are trying to accomplish, having the user fill out the data in a web form is less confusing than serving up a PDF and expecting them to save that to update a file on a remote server. Just my opinion, though.

It's possible for users to complete most PDF forms in Adobe Reader, but when user's try to save the changes they get a popup prompting them that the PDF cannot be saved and would need to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat to have this functionality.
Since Acrobat 7 (or possibly) 8 it's possible to create a form so that it can be completed and saved in reader. In Acrobat open your PDF, and select Advanced -> Enable usage right in reader from the menu. This will prompt you to save the form and then anyone using Adobe reader can complete it.
Once that's done you can open the form in ColdFusion, populate some of the fields and serve it up to the user. Once they fill it in, save it and get it back in ColdFusion you can read the contents using the PDF related tags.
Please note: It's currently not possible to set the "enable usage rights in reader" flag from ColdFusion, you need a copy of Adobe Acrobat or access to Adobe LifeCycle server to do this.

Indesign scripting - Save Copy

I'm using a Objective-C Scripting Bridge to communicate with InDesign CS3/CS4. Unfortunately I'm stuck on Save command which appears to be existing only as a part of the standard suite and not defined again in InDesign. Because of that it looks like I can Save, Save as but not Save Copy a document. Does anyone have any idea how to proceed?
Just to shortly explain the difference between Save and Save Copy - using Save Copy the current doc doesn't change which is opposite to Save or Save as.
the only other alternative other than that which philip-regan suggests. Would be to use GUI scripting but I'm still not sure what the point would be. If you wanted to save time of not closing and reopening you could save the doc make a duplicate via the finder and continue onward in indesgn with out the close and re-open bit
I always thought the distinction between Save As and Save Copy as being more semantic than anything because all that command is really doing is performing a Save As but appending the file name with " copy" (e.g., "MyLayout.indd" becomes "MyLayout copy.indd"). Just use Save as a Save Copy alternative by giving an alternate name for the document when you save it.
Edit per OP's comments: You're right that Save Copy isn't defined in the dictionary. The only way I see around this is to mimic the command's behavior by saving to a location with a new name, closing the current-yet-renamed document, and reopening the original. Not ideal, I know, but I don't see another way around it, unless Save Copy is defined in the Javascript API, which I doubt.
Well,
since Save Copy is not defined in the scripting dictionary, the only way how to proceed is to save current document a create a copy via Finder.
If you search the header file for InDesign, these are the methods that pop up:
- (InDesignDocument *) saveTo:(id)to stationery:(BOOL)stationery versionComments:(NSString *)versionComments forceSave:(BOOL)forceSave; // Save the document
- (void) saveACopyTo:(id)to stationery:(BOOL)stationery; // Saves a copy of the document.
