How to send a fax with restcomm? - restcomm

is it possible to send a document (pdf) through fax in restcomm?
While searching in the mailing list i found that in the past it was only possible throught interfax.Is there a way to send it directly ?

Im not sure i get your question.
There is RCML verb to send faxes https://www.restcomm.com/docs/connect/rcml/fax-rcml.html#fax . Embedding a PDF document in the RCML verb should be supported.
If you are wondering how the actual fax provider is configured, I guess this is limited to current hardcoded impl https://github.com/RestComm/Restcomm-Connect/blob/master/restcomm/restcomm.fax/src/main/java/org/restcomm/connect/fax/InterfaxService.java which is based by the aforementioned InterFax provider.
If you are looking for a configurable API, we could potentially guide you to contribute a PR for this. We follow similar approach for other services...

How to retrieve online presence status in Outlook using VBA

Problem
I need to get online presence status from Microsoft Outlook using VBA.
The status is presented as a green-yellow-red-grey light displayed near the contact name and usually provided by some instant message(IM) application (e.g. Teams, Skype, Zoom, Jabber etc.).
Here is how it is usually look:
Available data
Unfortunately the status is not available in Outlook structures AddressEntry or ExchangeUser, which are pretty easy to acquire.
Note: Please do not confuse online presence with calendar availability, which can easily retrieved using function GetFreeBusy.
Alternative view
The only relevant and pretty decent description related to the topic I found here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/client-developer/shared/integrating-im-applications-with-office .
But here the topic is presented from the different angle - what should be done from the IM application side to provide this status. In short: the IM app should add some data to the registry under ...\Software\IM Providers\... and implement interface IUCOfficeIntegration, so Outlook can use it to retrieve the status.
So an intermediate idea was to retrieve the status via this interface from the IM app directly. But there is very few information about calling COM interfaces from VBA.
Does anyone can provide any hints how the status can be retrieved?
The Outlook object model doesn't provide any property or method for that. Graph API provides the Get presence methods for that.
You can use Graph for that. I don't think you'd be able to use VBA though.

How do I programatically download bank of America transactions?

I use quicken, which can automatically download bank of America transactions. However, it truncates all the payees so I lose data. I'd like to work around this and I'm thinking of downloading the transaction data and generating my own QFX file with the full payee info.
Is there a way that I can download transactions programmatically, or download something like a .qif (available on their website) programmatically? For the latter, I could convert the gif to a QFX myself.
If anyone has other ideas to download all of the transaction information without losing the payee info, I would welcome those ideas as well.
Do they provide an api for this? but most probably not for 3p without a contract. since its bank , there must be check for browser etc along with standard sign in so it'll hard for curl. you can have a browser plugin to read all the data from the page and do auto scroll to get new transactions if not fitting in page. it's a hacky solution but good to get what we need as you told that data is available on the page and have to revisit with updates but changes in basic structure is rare.
A quick search for bank of america api yielded this BofA API. They even have many options for types of payment information you could query here as well as lots of individual account types that you can access it as.
It looks pretty comprehensive. If you don't see what you are looking for there I put another option below, just in case.
I don't use BofA. So I can't speak to what they have natively available. But you could always use a bot to scrape it if they present it anywhere in the User Interface.
I would agree with Meena that you should not be able to use curl. But selenium uses a browser to programmatically do just about anything that you would want to do with any website. They also have bindings for many languages. So you could just pick your favorite and go to town...
It seems the API will return a JSON so you may need to find a tool to convert that to a qif or qfx if that part is important. After digging further, I can't test this without having a CashPro account but it seems what you need to do is...
Step 1:
Get an access token from here. You'll need to send this in the header of any requests
Step 2:
Send an http request with a header in the following format:
{
"accounts": [
{
"accountNumber": "xxxxxxx",
"bankId": "xxxxxxx"
}
],
"fromDate": "yyyy-mm-dd",
"toDate": "yyyy-mm-dd"
}
to https://developer.bankofamerica.com/cashpro/reporting/v1/transaction-inquiries/previous-day
Step 3:
You should get a JSON as a response
As mentioned, I can't test this but here's the documentation of the specific API endpoint you need

List of all companies on AngelList via API

https://angel.co/api/spec/startups
What would the best approach for hitting every company that is listed on AngelList? My first guess would be to query all the numbers up until 250k, the number of companies on angelList, using this endpoint https://api.angel.co/1/startups/45435
There surely has to be a better way of doing this though.
Yes it is possible via their API. And the API endpoint that you have mentioned in your question is the correct one. I have written a PHP component to achieve this. You can use this exporter application to download the start-ups data for each country into a CSV file : AngelList Data Exporter
I hope this helps you.
Angel.co does not expose its api anymore. So you have to parse the website to get any data.
Also a quick google search would give you a few websites which have different datasets from angel.co website.

How to make a Google Maps address - like lookup

You've probably all seen the maps.google.com.au address lookup. Start typing into the text box and your address auto completes in the list before you've finished. It also bolds the matching sections of the text that link to what you are typing.
I've used both the javascript api of maps and the http api. The geocoding seems to do something decent with the matches but i'm not entirely sure how one would go about getting this to work.
Anyway have a tutorial or a quick five step process that they would recommend I follow to get this feature going?
The feature you are looking for is "find as you type" or "suggest as you type" or AJAX live search.
To get the functionality via the Maps API is possible as any other find as you type solution. For each key entered into your search box you already send the request to the server and see what matches the entered text so far. The problem is that you can only send so many requests to google before you get a 620 (too many requests) error. Having a find-as-you-type mechanism is usually easier when you have your own small DB which you can query, that is faster and you won't have problems with too many requests.

Google Reader API - get subscribers

Anyone know the http request in order to find the subscriber count for a subscription?
Something similar to http://www.google.com/reader/api/0/unread-count?all=true must exist for subscribers, no?
This is what Reader uses to fill in the data in the "show details" UI for a particular feeed:
http://www.google.com/reader/api/0/stream/details?s=feed/https://blog.stackoverflow.com/feed/&output=json&fetchTrends=false
Specifically, you'd want the "subscribers" property in the JSON output. The general format for the "s" parameter is feed/". Note that it requires authentication.
I wanted to do this same thing but from PUBLIC location so i hacked together an API for everyones use... it returns as JSON or JSONP and i dont save any history of feeds that are looked up... but i do have logging to be able to ban abusive ip
