requirejs support for remotely loaded dojo with ArcGIS/ESRI - dojo

I'm working on a project with ArcGIS/ESRI in WebStorm. According to the documentation, "Dojo is included with the ArcGIS JavaScript API so there is no need to host/reference/install it." This means WebStorm has no idea what require is:
How do I add support without installing Dojo/require?

Was just going to comment, but can't yet?! Anyway, I had to reengineer my web-site dev-ops to account for the ESRI javascript API. I am using 4.6 though...
The API, which includes dojo, may be installed, but it has to be configured into your site. Once you reference dojo/dojo.js, all will be good. But you need the config set-up first.

I am just getting this stuff "almost" working. And actually had a build question to post and saw this. Hope it helps. I was using AMD and thought I had to go the requirejs route, but the dojo stuff worked out better for me. Check them both out and see what works for you! Good Luck!

dojo-amd-factory-scan:false seems not to work

I try to load an external JavaScript library like jQuery mobile to my IBM Notes Database. When i add this library i run i to the known amd loader problem.
I found an article that says when i add
xsp.client.script.dojo.djConfig="dojo-amd-factory-scan": false
to the xps.properties, this will fix this problem but for me it does not work.
Is there anythink else is miss?

Using the Extension Library is not a solution
jQuery is part of the latest Extension Library release on OpenNTF. That's the best practice method for including jQuery.

BundleTransformer with LESS - Decent Example Exists anywhere?

I really like the idea of this BundleTransformer plugin from NuGet, and I see that they have LESS support. But ...
After weeks of trying, I cannot find any decent example of how to use it. The documentation is unclear, to say the very least. This is the closest I could find, which does not compile or work.

Well, the simple answer is that I could ask for more.
Can someone please assist me with the simple task of creating a bundle that has .less files in it, that will run? I am completely lost.
I would suggest reading the wiki page for bundle transformer and also, as the wiki page suggests, make sure you are familiar with ASP.NET bundling and minification.
If you follow the examples of usage you should be up and running.
I know this is an older post but figured I'd chime in. The Bundle Transformer Codeplex discussion board (Feb 2015) mentions that BundleTransformer is no longer considered a modern client-side build tool and they are recommending you go with Gulp or Grunt - which both have support starting in Visual Studio 2013.3 via VSIX extensions and more baked in to VS2014. FYI -This Scott Hanselman post explains how to get up and going with Grunt and Gulp in Visual Studio. I think if you're using BundleTransformer for simple Less compilation it works fine, but doesn't allow you to do things like generate CSS Sourcemaps which make your browser's dev tools aware of the Less source files, which in my humble opinion is critical for using a CSS preprocessor - the ability to see the LESS line numbers of your source files in the styles pane.

what changed in play framework 2.x

doesn't play framework 2.0.4 support some consoles?
when i was using 1.x, i could use the console "play eclipsify"
and "play dependencies" to fbconnect and fbgraph modules
but from when i chaged the version, it's not working.
then how can i connect those modules? i've no idea to do that
i think the new version doesn't support those consoles for modules
is it correct?
is the way totally different? if then please let me know.
also juz awhile ago i checked the 1.2.5 version
and there is no dependencies.yml and module folder
would you let me know what changed and how can i apply and adjust?

Yes, it's TOTALY different, although some ideas are the same, Play 2.x is quite new product (as stated in many topics and questions since many months), there's (fortunately) no backward compatibility between Play 1.x and 2.x!
When you'll visit Play 1.x (only) modules page the first thing you'll see will be that disclaimer:
These modules are for the Play 1.x series only. Play 2.0 modules can be hosted anywhere on any Ivy, Maven or Git repository. We will add a directory for them here shortly.
Thanx to Pere Villega you can also search for Play 2.0 for Java or Scala modules on PlayModules.net site, however you need carefully choose between Play 1.x and Play 2.x series.

how to install and getting start with webrtc on windows server

Hi could anyone to tell me how to install depot tools.I went through documentation and trying to install the webrtc in windows,I installed visual studio 2010 and some related stuff given in documentation still i am in confusion and many questions like why visual studio is required? are we have write code in visual studio?It acts like IDE for webrtc?
If not please tell me where we have to place our project in local file system and how to implement my first demo application..I found a video published by google demonstrating about webrtc in that they wrote code in a html file so is html file itself enough to develop.?
Though i have done a sample application in a html file still i am getting blank page and in console i am getting as UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION near navigator.webkitGetUserMedia() please help me out to know more about webrtc.
I suggest you start by watching the excellent videos about WebRTC from Justin Uberti and Cullen Jennings, and then (shameless self promotion) get to grips with the code and examples in Getting Started With WebRTC on HTML5 Rocks.

Just last month we released an open source project aimed to get developers into WebRTC fast and easy.

It includes a cross-platform server kit which will run in Windows. Working demos are included.
I just built the webrtc solution using VS2010 by following this web pages instructions and NOT using cygwin. I had but one issue which to resolve required the manual copying of two files into the correct folder, you will know which two files should you see the names of these files and read the error, you will then know the expected location when the build fails.
Ultimately you will get a peerconnection_server.exe and a peerconnection_client.exe by way of sample. I was able to modify them easily.
Hope this helps. Be sure to install the prerequisites and follow the instructions to the letter.
As a clarification, the webrtc C++ library is one implementation you can use for the protocol. Another is using the webrtc implementation in a (very) modern web browser, such as Firefox or Chrome. Then, you'll just need HTML + JS, as per the articles in HTML5 Rocks.

where can I get a XD version dojo source

WHere can I get a XD version of dojo source like the one hosted on google? What I want to do is to host dojo source from my local CDN, and my custom dojo module in my web application. Is this a good practice? or I might as well just include the dojo source in my web app, and run the custom build?

In our organization (a large one), we do have a CDN version of dojo deployed on internal CDN mainly since some of our webapps are not allowed to access extranet (firewall issues).
For performance, though, a custom build gives biggest boost since it is customized to the modules you need/use - once the custom build is done, you only need to ship a single compressed js output file and a small number of supporting files
When doing your custom build, you can use the xdDojoPath and loader=xdomain if you wish to use cross domain dojo to load your optimized js - see http://osdir.com/ml/cometd-users/2011-08/msg00050.html for some notes on this

The good news is that with Dojo 1.7+ and the new loader, you don't have to do anything special for a cross domain build (good answer above from #Vijay Agrawal, but I think that reference guide link may need some updating for 1.7) Just write your code to the new AMD format, use asynch:true, run the build tools to create layers, and deploy them on any server. AMD makes use of callbacks and many of the tricks the old Dojo xd builder used to employ, but in a much simpler way.
To support older code, there is a legacy cross domain mode mentioned in the loader docs.
