Sitefinity Staging & Synchronization - destination doesn't contain a site with name 'SFDev' - sitefinity

I am trying to use sitefinity Staging & Synchronization feature.
I did exactly what is told in this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-mbXODZ0MI
But receiving following error.
You cannot sync the data, because the destination doesn't contain a site with name 'SFDev'.
I am moving data from SFDev to SFStaging. So how could the destination name be SFDev.
SFDev - Running on Casini Web server
SFStaging - running on local IIS
Not able to find any information on this error. Any suggestions here please?
Product Version: 7.1.5200.0

The site names have to be the same. When you make the first move it is all "manual". The code and DBs must match from the beginning. The sync tool is NOT a database mover it only sync specific areas of it. Please reference these instructions.
http://www.sitefinity.com/documentation/documentationarticles/installation-and-administration-guide/syncing-of-data

I don't think the source or destination site can be running Casini Web server while executing a SiteSync.
Have a look here:
http://www.sitefinity.com/documentation/documentationarticles/prerequisites-and-restrictions
All sites must be deployed on IIS.

Unable to upgrade MID Server

Our ServiceNOW instance recently got upgraded from Eureka to Geneva.
MID Server status became down and the version does not match the Build number in the stats.
I was told that the MID Server will auto upgrade which didn't happened. I am using a proxy server to connect, when I tried communicating with the instance through the server it is working however I assume the service or application installed is not able to communicate with the instance.
I created a new service and it worked perfectly for 1 min however after that the status of it became down.
Then I tried changing the configurations of old services however no good.
Now the services are running fine however in the config file in the mid_sys_id section mid server details not getting populated and the status of the MID Server in the instance is always down.
Do I need to change any properties in the instance?
Since I use proxy server do I need to remove the comment line of the auto upgrade through proxy section or can I leave that blank?
What is the issue here? Why my MID Server is not getting upgraded? Kindly help me.. If possible an explanation with screen shot would be much appreciated.
If you're on Geneva, you should be able to simply go to your MIDServer listing, from inside your instance, click on a MIDServer, and find 'Upgrade MID' in the Related links section. That should start an upgrade for that MID Server. If it fails, there should be an entry in either the ServiceNow logs or the MID Server logs with more information why it failed.

re-configuring a worklight application with analytics

After redeploying a worklight application, some configuration for analytics got lost and I'm trying to configure worklight with analytics again.
The dashboard shows "No data available" for time after the deployment although there are old records displayed for the time before the deployment of the application. So the db was not affected.
I set the wl.analytics.logs.forward property to "true" in worklight.properties;
also I set the wl.analytics.url of the db to be something like:
https://myserver:port/analytics/data
The dashboard is on
https://myserver:port/analytics/console
That is the URL for the analytics server.
Although if I put the db URL in a browser I get something like:
Error 404: java.io.FileNotFoundException: SRVE0190E: File not found: /data
Checked SystemOut.log and SystemErr.log (WAS logs) and I did not see errors there.
Does anybody know which is the XML I need to check in order to validate the configuration is OK for analytics? How could I troubleshoot this problem? Are there other logs I could check?
In the list of environment variables you gave I do not see any for username and password. Try to set:
wl.analytics.password=admin
wl.analytics.username=admin
It would be useful to see a wireshark trace, maybe you are not getting 403s. The Analytics data uploader generally has a small bit of protections and you have the option to keep or remove it.
#patbarron is correct about the multiple WAR files though. You need to send your analytics data to the /analytics-service context. The WAR analytics-service is the WAR that handles all the data processing, querying, etc. The other WAR analytics just handles the console UI.
When testing it might be beneficial to lower the
wl.analytics.queue and wl.analytics.queue.size, those values are for collecting data on the MobileFirst runtime server. Data is collected at the runtime server then sent to the analytics server. The larger these values are generally, the longer it will take to send. There are good to set for production

Endeca-Hybris integration not working

i'am trying to integrate hybris 4.7.9 with endeca. I have installed the following endeca components. 1)MDEX engine 2)Platform services 3)Endeca workbench 4)CAS.
I have deployed a sample application on endeca side using "D:\Endeca\ToolsAndFrameworks\11.0.0\deployment_template\bin\deploy.bat"
In Hyend2 in admincockpit of hybris
I have made EAC/CAS connection with my appication and made a export job.
Problem is i am not able to run that job, it reports me following error:
http://localhost:8500/MyAppen_en_data/?wsdl returned response code 404
at com.endeca.itl.service.ServiceLocator.getService(ServiceLocator.java:150)
I don't know Hybris, but since the error is related to Endeca, let me try to give some pointers.
CAS: Check that CAS is up and running
App Name: You might have specified app-name-with-locale (MyAppen) somewhere where you need to specify only app-name (MyApp). [The Endeca app name without the locale is called as "Base Application Name". Go back and check all your configurations in Hybris and Endeca].

unable to delete osb_server1 in the osb 10.3.6.0

There are scripts that build the admin server, then create clusters, managed servers, machines etc and when this domain is built, it is seen that an additional phantom server osb_server1 with port 8011, is getting built that isn't attached to any cluster or any machine.
This is built when the wlsb.jar was being referenced during one of the scripts.
Once after the admin server is up and running and we have other managed servers as well, Was trying to remove osb_server1 and this error creeps up
weblogic.management.configuration.AppDeploymentMBeanImpl.isCacheInAppDirectorySet()
Errors must be corrected before processding
There are like 120 default deployments on OSB that are targeted to osb_server1, was trying to retarget them to another server, but that is also throwing an error ...
Any ideas ???
That's due to the weird behaviour/bug of the standard osb template. There is a discussion here. http://theheat.dk/blog/?p=1255.
I didnt follow the steps given by Oracle(as in the URL). What I did was,
I keep the default osb_server1, and make it part of the cluster during the domain creation(ie, it's the first server). Once the domain is created, I re-set the osb_server1 to the desired value. That way the singleton services will still be deployed to the 1st server and others to cluster. Using WLST:
readDomain(domain_name)
cd('/Servers/osb_server1')
set('ListenPort', osb1_listen_port)
set('Name', osb1_name)
cd('/Servers/' + osb1_name + '/ServerDiagnosticConfig/osb_server1')
set('Name', osb1_name)
updateDomain()
closeDomain()

ASP.NET gurus - small issue when setting app domain name for sharing SQL session in scale-out scenario

We have scaled-out some portions of our ASP.NET app to run on one server, and other portions to run on another server (& under a subdomain).
The two servers share (SQL Server) Session. We used this MS article to create a tiny HTTP Module to sync app domain name between the two servers (sans the cookie domain code, which can be configured in the web.config. I later found this CodeProject article which is essentially the same.)
Everything's working well, except for a small issue: deployment changes or web.config tweaks require a manual app pool recycle (the auto-recycle no longer works - instead we get the "web server is currently unavailable / hit refresh" error).
I tried moving the app domain naming code from the HTTP Module into the Application_Start section of the Global.asax (maybe this is a better place for it?) - but received the same problem.
I know that one solution is to hard-code the app name in one of the SQL Server Session stored procedures; but am a bit hesitant to do this.
Edit: The app is ASP.NET 3.5 under IIS 6.0 (thanks #Chris & #bzlm)
You should check if proper Recycling Events are turned on in IIS, maybe this can help http://support.microsoft.com/kb/332088
Update. We opened a tech support case with Microsoft about this. After a week or so of back & forth, they said they had reproduced the issue in their environment and understand the cause (a timing issue deep inside the ASP.NET internals) - but that there is no resolution that they're aware of. I complained that the HTTP module is Microsoft code, but they said that this code is under "FAST PUBLISH" terms - intended to help & advise customers; yet not warranted.
Ah well. We now just manually recycle the app pool after making a web.config change.
