I have to write logs for windows installer set up which is built using WIX.
Can we write log for each component and feature..?
I am struggling to find out a way to do this any one help me please.
Thanks
Naresh

Have a look at MsiLogging and MsiLogFileLocation. You can set these properties in your MSI to force logging. Setting a logging mode like MsiLogging=icewarmupvo will include the most information in your setup logs. Alternatively, if you have a chainer (eg burn, setup.exe) you can control the logging from there using MsiEnableLog.

I want to manage few process using supervisor.I have made the changes in the supervisord.conf file.I want to stop a few programs later
I tried using "supervisorctl stop program_name" command but I get the following
Sorry, supervisord responded but did not recognize the supervisor namespace commands that supervisorctl uses to control it. Please check that the [rpcinterface:supervisor] section is enabled in the configuration file (see sample.conf).
Can somebody guide me?
Thanks in advance
Add this to your /etc/supervisord.conf:
[rpcinterface:supervisor]
supervisor.rpcinterface_factory = supervisor.rpcinterface:make_main_rpcinterface
And restart supervisord:
sudo /etc/init.d/supervisord restart

I have a view called 'selectView' in my postgresql database.
How i can get the results in to my server.js(nodejs code) like,
select * from selectView
Please suggest.
Sorry for the earlier mis-understanding. Didn't know node.js was server-side. A little search engine (you know the one) tells me that there's a postgresql library available for node.js. That should help you out.

Prevent application from closing from Task Manager using VB.NET.
The only way to definitively prevent your application from being closed would be to run it under an account where the current user (using Task Manager) doesn't have rights to modify the application.
If it's running under your user's account, they will be able to kill it via Task Manager.
Otherwise, the only real option is to handle the Closing events on your forms, and request that they don't close. That will prevent the normal "close application" from shutting down your application.

I have a special directory which only ever contains one file.
the file may vary in name and or extention type but its location is always the same directory.
based upon this information how can I launch (trigger) the file
I'm using VB.net
The Directory.GetFiles() or DirectoryInfo.GetFiles() methods will help you find the file that is in the directory.
Assuming you're trying to execute the file, Process.Start() is probably what you're looking for.
If you run into any problems with either of them, you'll need to provide more details as to your situation and what you're trying to do.
