Can anyone please tell me how to hide the right arrow for the QMenu items. I tried using the stylesheet. But it didn't works.. Please Help.
MyStylesheet.qss
QMenu::right-arrow[hide="true"]
{
image: url(Resources/MenuRight.png); //am using an unavailable image so that it will return empty.
}
and in code i have set the property as,
menuItem->setProperty("hide", true);
but in the stylesheet(shown below) if i remove the dynamic property, then it is working fine. the background color of the right arrow changes to red.
QMenu::right-arrow
{
background-color: red;
}
You can use the menu-indicator property in the stylesheet of the item.
Here with a QPushButton:
QPushButton::menu-indicator{ width:0px; };

I face an issue which stucks for days. I am createing a tvos application which reqiures a custome navigationlink(button), when I move the focus to the navigation item, it should scale a little bit, and also I need to change the parent's view backgound. It is pretty simple, but it seems that the focusabe override the my custome button Style. The test shows that the background image was changed but without any scale effect when the navigationbutton get focused. Any suggestion?
NavigationLink(destination: Text("myview"))
{Text("Test")
}
.buttonStyle(myButtonStyle())
.Focusable(true){(focus) in
//the code to change the background image
//myButtonStyle definition
struct MyButtonStyle: ButtonStyle {
func makeBody(configuration: Configuration) -> some View {
return AppButton(configuration: configuration)
}
}
struct AppButton: View {
#Environment(\.isFocused) var focused: Bool
let configuration: ButtonStyle.Configuration
var body: some View {
configuration.label
.scaleEffect(focused ? 1.1 : 1.0)
.focusable(true)
}
}
The line to change the background image is always called when the item get focused as my expected, but the scale effect is gone. If I remove the following line of codes, the scale effect is back:
// .Focusable(true){(focus) in
//the code to change the background image
// }
It looks like that this line of code override my custome style of navigation button, any ideas? Appreciate any help!
Ah, finally I found the tricky, though there is very little document about this. When Focusable was introduced, it should not be in your code to change focus engine, which will cause the navigationlink tap message uncaptured, then your navigationlink for another view will not work.
Use .onChange() function to deal with any focus change event, not use Focusable.
I am working with overlay panels in the PrimeVue framework, but there is an odd issue I can't fix.
As shown in the demo page the arrow is on the left side:
However I need it on the right:
After some google-searching I was able to find this bug report but I am for some reason unable to find a solution to this.
Does anybody know how to move the arrow to the right?
There are no property documented to show the arrow on the right side. But you can try to overwrite the styles manually. The arrows are applied as :before and :after elements of the .p-overlaypanel container. You need to define more specific styles to push the Arrows to the right. This can be done, for example, as follows:
<OverlayPanel class="my-panel">
</OverlayPanel
...
.p-overlaypanel.my-panel:before {
right: 10px !important;
}
.p-overlaypanel.my-panel:after {
right: 10px !important;
}
I have a dataview list inside a container which is displaying items correctly inside the view. However, whenever I click on an item it isn't getting highlighted.
I've added this to the view containing the DataView list:
onItemTap: function (container, target, index, e) {
var me = this;
me.callParent(arguments); // WARNING: without this call, the row will not become selected
}
I've read that the item won't get selected if I don't have the above. I can see this event being fired ok too. If I debug through the Sencha Touch source code, I can see the CSS class x-item-selected is being added to the DIV wrapping the list item, but there is no highlighting of the row. This works fine on normal lists so what am I missing?
Updated CSS which seems to work.
.x-dataview .x-data-item.x-item-selected
{
border-top-color: #006bb6;
background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #0398ff, #007ad0 3%, #005c9d);
color: white;
}
By default Sencha Touch Dataview doesn't provide any highlighting. Add a background or something to .x-item-pressed or .x-item-selected class and you will get the desired effect.
How about setting the selectedCls in the config block?
see the following link for detailed information
http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2.2.1/#!/api/Ext.dataview.List-cfg-selectedCls
I made a vertical carousel which consists of images that when clicked should be visible fullscreen. But the problem is i'm not able to figure out how to make sure the fullscreen images are preloaded or something and works like the thumbnail images(getting preloaded).
I'm not sure what approach to follow for preloading the fullscreen images using css background and how to make sure the images fadeIn or just some transition when i click on the thumbnail in the carousel.
Please have a look at the following link where my code is uploaded.

If its convenient,feel free to check the script by checking the source.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Found this post and figured it might help you, Preloading images with jQuery
Try and post some of the code in your body for future reference. :)
Quick and easy:
function preload(arrayOfImages) {
$(arrayOfImages).each(function(){
$('<img/>')[0].src = this;
// Alternatively you could use:
// (new Image()).src = this;
});
}
// Usage:
preload([
'img/imageName.jpg',
'img/anotherOne.jpg',
'img/blahblahblah.jpg'
]);
Or, if you want a jQuery plugin:
$.fn.preload = function() {
this.each(function(){
$('<img/>')[0].src = this;
});
}
// Usage:
$(['img1.jpg','img2.jpg','img3.jpg']).preload();
Alternatively, if you want to stick purely with CSS check out this page: http://perishablepress.com/3-ways-preload-images-css-javascript-ajax/ You can just have the background image be positioned off screen then come on screen when needed.
#preload-01 { background: url(http://domain.tld/image-01.png) no-repeat -9999px -9999px; }
#preload-02 { background: url(http://domain.tld/image-02.png) no-repeat -9999px -9999px; }
#preload-03 { background: url(http://domain.tld/image-03.png) no-repeat -9999px -9999px; }
I am using monotouch dialog to generate a view. I managed to change the background color by subclassing DialogViewController, but the contrast with the section caption makes the text hard to read. How do I change the section caption color?
I am also using a StyledStringElement as a button in the same view. I cant seem to figure out how to shrink this element so that it looks more like a button. Please provide examples. Your help is appreciated.
To solve this issue I used a glassbutton with the it's HandleTapped handler as below.
var butt = new GlassButton(new RectangleF(80,150,150,50))
{
Font = UIFont.BoldSystemFontOfSize(22),
NormalColor = UIColor.Red,
};
void HandleTapped (GlassButton obj)
{
}
as for the colors, I used miguel's solution here. Hope this helps someone down the road.
