implementing radio buttons and check box in corona - radio-button

Can we have check box, radio button or any other buttons implementation in corona? If so ,how?I got a third party tool http://x-pressive.com/WidgetCandy_Corona/media.html which has these features that implements the functionality ,but it is not free and cant be tested?Basically I want to create a Business application where I can use these features. Can anybody let me know how do I implement this?

I don't think u can do it in corona. They have some widget API, you can find in the sample code > interface > widget demo. But check box not included.
I my apps, I build those check box by my own. I have to pay $20 for each image of those button or check box on stock image web.
In your case, If you want it looks good and you are not good at illustrator or photoshop, widgetCandy could be your best choice.
I paid for x-pressive's effectCandy and TextCandy. It worth the cost. This WidgetCandy is their new product, I don't have a chance to try it yet, but I would suggest you try it.
The downside is you have to learn some new API in order to use their function.

How can i add the Image Filter plugin in Xamarin.Form?

First of all I am new in Xamarin.Form. I am trying to get best from Google but some of functionality I am not able to get even searched a lot.
I am creating a Xamarin.Form app. In that app I want to provide a functionality of image filter. In that, the image captured by user or get from their internal memory should by filter.
I have tried to search on google to get some idea for it in Xamarin.Form but I still not get any link which can help me to get start.
First of all I don't know whether it is possible in Xamarin.Form or not. Can anybody suggest me a link or idea to achieve it?
I attached a Screenshot so you can easily understand the problem.

There are no out of the box APIs in Xamarin.Forms for Image filters.
Each platforms handles the images differently, you will need to implement these filters per platform bases.
You can find the instructions for iOS here and here for Android, then you can use the DependencyServices to access them in Forms app

How to create a bitmap cropping control in WinJS

I want to create controls that lets the user decide crop area of a bitmap, in the common way, having four corners on the image. I saw that there is a sample C# app in the Microsoft site for this - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/showcase/details.aspx?uuid=bef08d57-fa4d-4d9c-9080-6ee55b8623c0
But I cannot figure out how to do this strictly WinJS. Do I need to create custom controls - if so how? Any sample code will help a great deal.
I have an example in my codeSHOW project. It's the demo called Rx Crop. It uses Reactive Extensions (which are awesome by the way), but if you didn't want that dependency you could probably just use the example to figure out how to do it without.
BTW, the codeSHOW project has a bug and a usability issue currently. I have an update in certification. For now, just make sure you select the Rx Crop demo on the home screen and then click See the Code. If you hit See the Code with no demo selected it will crash.
Do me a favor and rate the app. Thanks.

What is the best way to display and interact with a skill tree

I am trying to create an interface that is similar to the interface on this website for the skill tree: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree. What is the best way to go about doing this and have the same or similar user interaction. ie. you click on a node and it activate or deactivates it. The movement of the tree and zooming on it would be nice as well. Would like to try to stay away from webView as I am thinking about features I want to add. Thanks in advance just want to see what a good way to do this is.
you can use webView and have almost a copy-paste of the presented webpage html source and load it.
However with native components you can have better performance, but it will "not a copy"
Native componets:
IIViewDeckController for iOS
iHasApp for iOS
iHasApp for iOS
There are more on that side. Consider a combination of they,

Sencha Touch Passcode

Is there a control in Sencha Touch to show a passcode field like shown in picture below?
No theres no native component who does exactly this. But you can build it by yourself: its a form with 4 input fields and a dozen buttons. See documentation for more details: http://docs.sencha.com/touch/1-1/#!/api/Ext.form.FormPanel
No, you have to build and design this one completly by yourself.
Note: To get rid of the browser controls, you have to enforce that the application is running form the homescreen. You can control (with some Javascript) if the application is running MobileSafari or as a "Web App". (see: http://cubiq.org/add-to-home-screen as an example of such an implementation)
But, however, I would not recommend using such a component. A) This can confuse people and B) Can intent users to type in their regular passcode. As a developer I wouldn't be comfortable with that situation.

How to develop a webapp which allows the user to add markup to text files?

I need to develop a simple webapp that allows the user to highlight a couple of words in the file (text or HTML) that he can load from the screen, and then right-click and have some options show up to choose from.
When she chooses the option , the text of it is added to the file shown on the screen, right after the highlighted text, inside some parenthesis or similar.
Is Ruby on Rails a suitable platform for developing such an app?
Is Grails more suitable ?
(Assuming similar level of knowledge in Groovy and Ruby)
In both cases, I'd appreciate pointers to gems/libraries I should be looking into for these tasks.
Thanks!
I'm not 100% sure I understand your requirements, but have you considered integrating a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor into your web app? Something like CKeditor is open-source, and effective.
You could load the file into the editor and setup a custom context menu like described in part 6 of this tutorial. So when the user right clicks in the editor, the custom context menu item could be configured to facilitate the insertion you are looking to accomplish.
I agree with corroded's advice to choose a language/framework you know and can work better in, as you'll be able to achieve your desired functionality through a variety of languages/frameworks.
Best of Luck!
Find a language/framework you know and can work better in. Also, you're gonna need some javascript magicks so I suggest using jquery. Here's a link on how to do your right click action: How to distinguish between left and right mouse click with jQuery
I think the function you describe is more about client user-friendliness than server processing. I think it's can only be done with javascript/jQuery or similar tools.
Same as tmarsden, I think a good way to do that is integrating a WYSIWYG free editor. I have done it before with TinyMCE, by writing a custom plugin for this tool. If you choose using Grails as server technology, you can take a look at TinyMCE plugin for Grails.
