Assume there is a website that generates pages using dynamic technologies: ASP, JSP, etc.
In a non-adaptive website, I may have a code like if condition 1, then generate page A. If condition 2, generate page B and so on.
In an adaptive system, what is the similar logic? is it correct to say if by evaluating context, user request, etc (in a sense if condition 1), the solution is adaptation policy should generate page A to ensure goal of serving the right page is consistent?
I'd be grateful if you could help me understand the difference / similarities.
Heike
P.S. I am reading about self adaptive systems and just needed to point out that this is not a homework question :)
You can read more about self-adaptive system in the IBM site about autonomic computing.
The Vision: Systems manage themselves according to an administrator's
goals. New components integrate as effortlessly as a new cell
establishes itself in the human body. These ideas are not science
fiction, but elements of the grand challenge to create self-managing
computing systems.

I've been a full stack web developer for 15 years now and would like to be involved in machine learning. There is already a specific scenario for this: We have a database with several million products and one product image each. There is also a database with about 5000 terms.
A product image is linked to several terms (usually 3 - 20), whereby the link still has a weighting (1-100%). The terms are always of a visual nature, that is, they describe a visually recognizable feature on the image.
The aim should now be to upload a new image (of course with thematic reference) and to get an answer with possible terms (including probability) based on the already classified images.
Do you have any advice on how best to start here? Is there a framework that comes close to this scenario? Is TensorFlow relevant for this task? What new language should I learn?
Thank you very much!
TensorFlow can be used, it's pretty "low-level" though. So if you're just starting out you might be better off using Keras with a TensorFlow backend as it's more userfriendly.
Regarding languages you will probably use Python. So if you don't know it already you should get started. In my opinion you can also learn it on-the-fly while practicing as you're already a developer.
As for tutorials you will have to probably pick out the relevant bits of many different tutorials. You could get started with something like this:

I'm a web developer and mobile applications. I have several clients which I manage in a hosting service with whm panel. Now I want to start using Google Cloud. My question is whether it is better to create a project for each client or to create a single project with a lot of space and there to store all the pages and databases. Please help me with this because I do not know what is the best practice
From my experience,
If your customer pays a fixed price for hosting it does not matter.
If you charge "pay as you go" then a separate project is the only way you can know how much exactly to charge.
Like Ken says, it is very difficult to predict your needs with so little information. One point to keep in mind: if you ever plan to turn over ownership of the project to the client, then having a separate project for each client will make life so much easier.

I want to implement a Thunderbird-Addon and already found information on the mozilla web pages regarding Addon Development. However, some of the information is rather confusing, and thus I have some more specific questions:
1) Are Firefox Addon development and Thunderbird Addon development related? Some links may suggest so, others are indicated as "outdated"...
2) On the Mozilla web pages there are infos related to addons for Thunderbird 2,3, or 5. Isn't Thunderbird at version 31 currently? Probably I missed something here.
3) I want to extend the tagging mechanics in thunderbird, e.g. allowing relationships between tags, tag hierarchies etc. For that I would have to extend the existing data model. Can I do so?
4) Is there a good overview of the actual data model? Before I start programming something, I'd like to see which parts I have to touch and which I can leave alone.

I need to prepare a Software Requirements Specification Document for a small enhancement within an JAVA application.
I have tried goggling for the same but found the samples for whole application whereas I am preparing SRS for a small enhancement within an application.
Can anybody suggest the links or suggestions for preparing the SRS.
As you realized by yourself what you're asked isn't a Requirements Specification, which usually covers the whole set of requirements for a software.
What you've been asked is a Change Request, and it must be merged in the existing SRS. However something tells me that there's no SRS for the software you're dealing with, as your management doesn't know the difference between both...

I have various documents some are large some are small, we have to draw up some form of model that would describe how a user interacts with each document when following them for a build. For example, a user might.
Follow Document 1 to Section 10 then be pointed to Document 2 to complete then return back to Section 10 in document 1 etc.
Has anyone ever drawn up some sort of chart to demonstrate this kind of thing for documentation, it is fairly standard for systems but i have never done it regarding documentation and I am just wondering if there is a formal method of doing this for documentation and is there any examples or standard guides to follow.
I think I would use an Activity diagram with Swimlanes for each document.
An alternative would be an IDEF0 diagram(may be appropriate if there are instructions for completing each document, and/or different roles for different steps)
